BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ¡Aleluya! Alef. ¡Dichoso el hombre que teme a Yahveh, Bet. que en sus mandamientos mucho se complace!	1 Al eluia! How blessed is anyone who fears Yahweh, who delights in his commandments!
2 Guímel. Fuerte será en la tierra su estirpe, Dálet. bendita la raza de los hombres rectos.	2 His descendants shal be powerful on earth, the race of the honest shal receive blessings:
3 He. Hacienda y riquezas en su casa, Vau. su justicia por siempre permanece.	3 Riches and wealth for his family; his uprightness stands firm for ever.
4 Zain En las tinieblas brilla, como luz de los rectos, Jet. tierno, clemente y justo.	4 For the honest he shines as a lamp in the dark, generous, tender-hearted, and upright.
5 Tet. Feliz el hombre que se apiada y presta, Yod. y arregla rectamente sus asuntos.	5 Al goes wel for one who lends generously, who is honest in al his dealing;
6 Kaf. No, no será conmovido jamás, Lámed. en memoria eterna permanece el justo;	6 for al time to come he wil not stumble, for al time to come the upright wil be remembered.
7 Mem. no tiene que temer noticias malas, Nun. firme es su corazón, en Yahveh confiado.	7 Bad news holds no fears for him, firm is his heart, trusting in Yahweh.
8 Sámek. Seguro está su corazón, no teme: Ain. al fin desafiará a sus adversarios.	8 His heart held steady, he has no fears, til he can gloat over his enemies.
9 Pe. Con largueza da a los pobres; Sade. su justicia por siempre permanece, Qof. su frente se levanta con honor.	9 To the needy he gives without stint, his uprightness stands firm for ever; his reputation is founded onstrength.
10 Res. Lo ve el impío y se enfurece, Sin. rechinando sus dientes, se consume. Tau. El afán de los impíos se pierde.	10 The wicked are vexed at the sight, they grind their teeth and waste away. The desires of the wickedwil be frustrated.
