1 In quel tempo leverassi Micael, lo grande principe, lo qual sta per gli figliuoli del tuo popolo; e verrà tempo tale quale non fu mai dal tempo che cominciò esser la gente per sino a quel tempo. E in quello tempo si salverà tutto il tuo popolo, lo quale si troverà scritto nel libro.	1 But at that time shall Michael rise up, the great prince, who standeth for the children of thy people: and a time shall come such as never was from the time that nations began even until that time. And at that time shall thy people be saved, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 E molti di quelli che dormivano nella polvere della terra (cioè morti) veglieranno (cioè risusciteranno), alcuni in vita eterna, alcuni in obbrobrio, acciò che vedano sempre (che sono nelle pene).	2 And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth, shall awake: some unto life everlasting, and others unto reproach, to see it always.
3 E quelli che saranno dotti, risplenderanno come lo splendore dello firmamento; e quelli i quali ammaestrano molti (cioè nella legge di Dio), saranno come stelle nella perpetua eternità.	3 But they that are learned shall shine as the brightness of the firmament: and they that instruct many to justice, as stars for all eternity.
4 Ma tu, Daniele, chiudi la visione (e non la manifestare), e sigilla lo libro persino al tempo determinato; e molti lo leggeranno, e saranno di varie opinioni nella intelligenza d'esso.	4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time appointed: many shall pass over, and knowledge shall be manifold.
5 E (dopo questo) vidi io Daniele; ed ecco, due altri (cioè angeli) stavano; uno sopra la ripa d'uno fiume da uno lato, e l'altro sopra la ripa di questo fiume dall' altro lato.	5 And I Daniel looked, and behold as it were two others stood: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and another on that side, on the other bank of the river.
6 E dissi all' uomo il quale era vestito di lino, lo qual stava sopra l'acqua del fiume: quanto tempo. dureranno queste cose maravigliose?	6 And I said to the man that was clothed In linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 E udii l'uomo lo qual era vestito di lino, che istava sopra l'acqua del fiume, levando le mani sue al cielo, e giurando per quello che vive in eterno, che questo durerà (cioè la persecuzione di anticristo) per tempo e per tempi e per la metà del tempo. (Nota: per lo tempo s' intende uno anno, per li tempi due anni, per la metà mezzo anno. Però appare che la persecuzione di anticristo durerà tre anni e mezzo). E quando sarà compiuta la persecuzione della fortezza de' santi, saranno compiute tutte queste cose.	7 And I heard the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: when he had lifted up his right hand, and his left hand to heaven, and had sworn, by him that liveth for ever, that it should be unto a time, and times, and half a time. And when the scattering of the band of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished.
8 E io udi', e non intesi. E dissi: Signore mio, che sarà dopo questo?	8 And I heard, and understood not. And I said: O my lord, what shall be after these things?
9 E dissemi: va, Daniele (e non cercar più oltre), però che lo parlar è chiuso, e li sermoni sono sigillati (cioè per oscurità d' intelligenza) per sino al tempo determinato.	9 And he said: Go, Daniel, because the words are shut up, and sealed until the appointed time.
10 E saranno in quel tempo eletti (molti cioè santi), e saranno dealbati (cioè mondati dai peccati), e molti saranno provati per lo fuoco; e li mali uomini (cioè li ostinati) staranno nella sua ostinazione operando male, e non vorranno conoscere a bene operare	10 Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the wicked shall deal wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the learned shall understand.
11 E dal tempo, quando sarà tolto il continuo sacrificio (della Chiesa, cioè dal principio della persecuzione di anticristo), e sarà posta la abominazione (di anticristo la qual sarà) in desolazione (e distruzione, per sino alla fine della persecuzione sua), sarà mille ducento nonanta dì, (che sono anni tre e mezzo).	11 And from the time when the continual sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination unto desolation shall be set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days,
12 Beato sarà colui che aspetterà, e perverrà per sino a mille trecento trentacinque dì.	12 Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh unto a thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
13 Ma tu (Daniele) va, e sta per sino al tempo tuo della vita tua; e poi ti riposerai, e starai nella sorte tua nella fine delli dì. Persino a questo luogo ho trovato Daniele nello volume ebraico. Questo che sèguita, persino alla fine, è traslatato della traduzione di Teodocio.	13 But go thou thy ways until the time appointed: and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot unto the end of the days.
