1 Ogni cosa hae il suo tempo, e (ciò che) trapassa per sua (cagione e) istagione sotto il cielo.	1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 Egli è tempo buono a nascere, e tempo da morire; egli è tempo da piantare, e tempo da cavare quello che piantoe.	2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 Egli è tempo buono da buono da sanare (chi è ferito); uccidere, e tempo egli è tempo buono da disfare, e tempo buono a fare casa.	3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 Egli è tempo da ridere, e tempo da piangere; egli è tempo da attristarsi, e tempo da sollazzare.	4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 Egli è tempo da spendere, e tempo da radunare; egli è tempo buono da abbracciare altrui, e tempo da cessare da quelli.	5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 Egli è tempo da acquistare, e tempo da perdere; egli è tempo da conservare, e tempo da gettare.	6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 Egli è tempo da dividere, e da radunare; e tempo è buono da stare cheto, e tempo da gridare.	7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 E tempo è buono da amare, e tempo da odiare; e tempo è da guerra, e tempo è da pace.	8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 Ora che ha poi l' uomo d'ogni sua fatica?	9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 Io vidi l'affiizione che Dio lasciò venire adosso agli uomini, acciò che loro si castighino in essa.	10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 E ogni cosa è fatta da Dio buona per alcuno tempo; e diede Iddio questo mondo agli uomini per disputare (e per quistionare); e pur tutto ciò non basta all' uomo a rendere ragione di qualunque cosa Iddio fece, incominciandosi da quando elli nacque per insino che muore.	11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 Io conobbi ch' egli era il meglio che l'uomo possa fare, che si faccia lieto, e fare bene per (l'anima) tutta sua vita.	12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 Imperò che quando l'uomo mangia e beve, e vedesi riposo di sua fatica, hae costui grande dono da Dio.	13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14 Ancora imparai che ciò che Dio fece, istarà fermo sempre mai; e non vi possiamo aggiugnere alcuna altra cosa, e non potemo scemare; e l' uomo però deve temere Iddio.	14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 Quello che è fatto, così si sta; e quello che deve venire, così lo somigliante è quello che fue; e Iddio rifae le cose che furono già disfatte.	15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 Io vidi sotto il sole, che nel luogo della ragione stava empietade, e nel luogo della giustizia la iniquitade.	16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 Ancora dissi nel cuore mio: al dì dell' ultimo giudicio fia tenuta ragione per lo giusto e per lo empio, (di che quinci non si fae), e sarà tempo da giudicare il tutto.	17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
18 Anche ragionai nel mio cuore degli uomini, acciò che Iddio gli provasse, e mostrasse a loro, che sono simili alle bestie.	18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19 E imperò uno è il modo del morire nelli uomini e nelle bestie; ed eguale è la condizione dell' uno e dell' altre; secondo che l'uomo si muore, e le bestie si muorono; somigliantemente respirano come l'uomo, e [per] nessuna cosa ha l'uomo vantaggio dalle bestie; onde ogni cosa è posta sotto a vanitade,	19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
20 e torna ogni cosa ad uno luogo; e ogni cosa fu fatta della terra, e così si torna ugualmente nella terra.	20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
21 Or chi sa, se gli spiriti delli figliuoli di Adamo (ovvero l'anime loro) salgano in cielo, e lo spirito delle bestie descenda sotto la terra?	21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22 Avvidimi che il meglio che l' uomo potesse fare, si è ch' elli si rallegri (e abbia riposo) delle sue fatiche, e in questo sia contento. Or chi lo guiderà altrove, acciò elli conosca le cose che sono a venire?	22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
