Salmi 15

1 La inscrizion del titolo a esso David. Conservami, Signore, però ch' io ho sperato	1 The inscription of a title: of David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, because I have hoped in you.
2 Di?si al Signore: tu sei (Signore) Iddio mio, però che tu non hai bisogno de' miei beni.	2 I have said to the Lord: “You are my God, so you have no need of my goodness.”
3 E alli santi, che sono nella terra sua, ha fatto maravigliose le mie volontà in loro.	3 As for the saints, who are in his land: he has made all my desires wonderful in them.
4 Moltiplicate sono le infirmità di loro; poscia s' affrettarono. Io non raunerò le loro compagnie medianti li sangui (degli animali); nè mi ricorderò de' nomi loro per le mie labbra.	4 Their infirmities have been multiplied; after this, they acted more quickly. I will not gather for their convocations of blood, nor will I remember their names with my lips.
5 Il Signore hae parte della mia eredità e del mio calice; tu sarai colui che restituirà la mia eredità a me.	5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. It is you who will restore my inheritance to me.
6 Li termini (della mia possessione) caddero per sorte a me nella clarità; e però la mia eredità è molto clara a me.	6 The lots have fallen upon me with clarity. And, indeed, my inheritance has been very clear to me.
7 Io benedirò Iddio, il quale mi ha dato intelletto; e più che insino alla notte le mie reni m' hanno contradetto.	7 I will bless the Lord, who has bestowed understanding upon me. Moreover, my temperament has also corrected me, even through the night.
8 Io providi il Signore sempre nel mio cospetto; però che lui m'è al lato diritto, acciò che non sia commosso.	8 I have made provision for the Lord always in my sight. For he is at my right hand, so that I may not be disturbed.
9 Per questo il mio cuore s'è rallegrato, e la mia lingua dimostrò letizia; e sopra tutto la mia carne si riposerà in speranza.	9 Because of this, my heart has been joyful, and my tongue has exulted. Moreover, even my body will rest in hope.
10 Però che tu non lascerai l' anima mia nello inferno; nè darai il santo tuo, che venga in corruzione.	10 For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your holy one to see corruption.
11 Tu m' hai fatte manifeste le vie della vita; tu mi empirai di letizia col volto tuo; le delettazioni sono nella destra tua insino alla fine.	11 You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy by your countenance. At your right hand are delights, even to the end.
