1 (Salmo di David). Cantate al Signore un nuovo cantico, perchè ha operato maraviglie: la sua destra e il suo santo braccio gli han dato vittoria.	1 A Psalm of David himself. Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has performed wonders. His right hand has accomplished salvation for him, with his holy arm.
2 Il Signore ha fatto conoscere la salvezza che da lui procede, ha rivelata la sua giustizia agli occhi dello nazioni.	2 The Lord has made known his salvation. He has revealed his justice in the sight of the nations.
3 S'è ricordato della sua misericordia e della sua fedeltà verso la casa d'Israele. Tutte le regioni della terra han veduta la salvezza che vien dal nostro Dio.	3 He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Cantate con giubilo a Dio da tutta la terra, prorompete in canti e suoni e salmi.	4 Sing joyfully to God, all the earth. Sing and exult, and sing psalms.
5 Cantate al Signore colla cetra, colla cetra e col salterò,	5 Sing psalms to the Lord with stringed instruments, with strings and the voice of a psalmist,
6 Colle trombe e col suono del corno, giubilate nel cospetto del re Signore.	6 with subtle wind instruments and the voice of woodwinds. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king.
7 Si muova il mare e ciò che lo riempie, la terra tutta e quelli che l'abitano;	7 Let the sea be moved and all its fullness, the whole world and all who dwell in it.
8 i fiumi battan le mani e così le montagne esultino	8 The rivers will clap their hands, the mountains will exult together,
9 Al cospetto del Signore, perchè viene a giudicare la terra. Giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e i popoli con equità.	9 before the presence of the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with justice, and the peoples with fairness.
