1 וְאַתָּה דַּבֵּר אֶת־הַנָּאֶה לַלֶּקַח הַבָּרִיא	1 Tu autem loquere quæ decent sanam doctrinam :
2 שֶׁיִּהְיוּ הַזְּקֵנִים משְׁלִים בְּרוּחָם וּמְכֻבָּדִים וּצְנוּעִים וּבְרִיאִים בָּאֱמוּנָה וּבָאַהֲבָה וּבַסַּבְלָנוּת	2 senes ut sobrii sint, pudici, prudentes, sani in fide, in dilectione, in patientia :
3 וְכֵן הַזְּקֵנוֹת תְּהִי הַנְהָגָתָן כַּאֲשֶׁר נָאֲוָה לַקֹּדֶשׁ לֹא תִהְיֶינָה מַלְשִׁינוֹת וְלֹא נִכְבָּשׁוֹת לִסְבוֹא־יַיִן כִּי אִם־מְלַמְּדוֹת טוֹב	3 anus similiter in habitu sancto, non criminatrices, non multo vino servientes, bene docentes :
4 וּמְיַשְּׁרוֹת אֶת־הַצְּעִירוֹת לֶאֱהֹב אֶת־בַּעֲלֵיהֶן וְלֶאֱהֹב אֶת־בְּנֵיהֶן	4 ut prudentiam doceant adolescentulas, ut viros suos ament, filios suos diligant,
5 וְלִהְיוֹת צְנוּעוֹת וּטְהֹרוֹת צוֹפִיּוֹת הֲלִיכוֹת בֵּיתָן וְטֹבוֹת וְנִכְנָעוֹת לְבַעֲלֵיהֶן לְמַעַן לֹא־יְחֻלַּל דְּבַר הָאֱלֹהִים	5 prudentes, castas, sobrias, domus curam habentes, benignas, subditas viris suis, ut non blasphemetur verbum Dei.
6 כָּכָה תַּזְהִיר גַּם אֶת־הַבַּחוּרִים שֶׁיִּהְיוּ צְנוּעִים	6 Juvenes similiter hortare ut sobrii sint.
7 וּבְכָל־דָּבָר הֱיֵה אַתָּה לְמוֹפֵת בְּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים בְּהוֹרָאָה צְרוּפָה וְנֶהְדָּרָה	7 In omnibus teipsum præbe exemplum bonorum operum, in doctrina, in integritate, in gravitate,
8 וּבְדָבָר בָּרִיא וּמוּם אֵין־בּוֹ לְמַעַן יֵבוֹשׁ הַמִּתְקוֹמֵם וְלֹא יִמְצָא לְדַבֵּר עֲלֵיכֶם רָע	8 verbum sanum, irreprehensibile : ut is qui ex adverso est, vereatur, nihil habens malum dicere de nobis.
9 הָעֲבָדִים יִכָּנְעוּ לַאֲדוֹנֵיהֶם וְיִתְרַצּוּ לָהֶם בְּכָל־דָּבָר וְלֹא יַמְרוּ אֶת־דִּבְרֵיהֶם	9 Servos dominis suis subditos esse, in omnibus placentes, non contradicentes,
10 וְלֹא־יִמְעֲלוּ מַעַל כִּי אִם־יַרְאוּ כָּל־אֱמוּנָה טוֹבָה לְמַעַן יְפָאֲרוּ בַכֹּל אֶת־לֶקַח אֱלֹהֵינוּ מוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ	10 non fraudantes, sed in omnibus fidem bonam ostendentes : ut doctrinam Salvatoris nostri Dei ornent in omnibus.
11 כִּי הוֹפִיעַ חֶסֶד אֱלֹהִים לְהוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת־כָּל־בְּנֵי הָאָדָם	11 Apparuit enim gratia Dei Salvatoris nostri omnibus hominibus,
12 וּלְיַסֵּר אֹתָנוּ אֲשֶׁר נְתַעֵב הָרֶשַׁע וְתַאֲוֺת הָעוֹלָם וְנִחְיֶה בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה בִּצְנִיעוּת וּבְצֶדֶק וּבַחֲסִידוּת	12 erudiens nos, ut abnegantes impietatem, et sæcularia desideria, sobrie, et juste, et pie vivamus in hoc sæculo,
13 וּנְחַכֶּה לַתִּקְוָה הַמְאַשֶּׁרֶת וּלְהוֹפָעַת כְּבוֹד אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַגָּדוֹל וּמוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ	13 exspectantes beatam spem, et adventum gloriæ magni Dei, et Salvatoris nostri Jesu Christi :
14 אֲשֶׁר־נָתַן אֶת־נַפְשׁוֹ בַּעֲדֵנוּ לְגָאֳלֵנוּ מִכָּל־עָוֶל וּלְטַהֵר לוֹ עַם סְגֻלָּה הַזָּרִיז בְּמַעֲשִׂים טוֹבִים	14 qui dedit semetipsum pro nobis, ut nos redimeret ab omni iniquitate, et mundaret sibi populum acceptabilem, sectatorem bonorum operum.
15 אֶת־אֵלֶּה תְדַבֵּר וְתַזְהִיר וְתוֹכִיחַ בְּכָל־חָזְקָה וְאִישׁ אַל־יָבוּז לָךְ	15 Hæc loquere, et exhortare, et argue cum omni imperio. Nemo te contemnat.
