1 וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל־אַהֲרֹן לֵאמֹר	1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron and said:
2 אִישׁ עַל־דִּגְלֹו בְאֹתֹת לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם יַחֲנוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִנֶּגֶד סָבִיב לְאֹהֶל־מֹועֵד יַחֲנוּ	2 'The Israelites must pitch their tents, each man by his own standard, under their family emblems. Theymust pitch their tents round the Dwelling where the Testimony is, some distance away.
3 וְהַחֹנִים קֵדְמָה מִזְרָחָה דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה יְהוּדָה לְצִבְאֹתָם וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי יְהוּדָה נַחְשֹׁון בֶּן־עַמִּינָדָב	3 'Encamped on the east side: 'Furthest towards the east, the standard of the camp of Judah, unit byunit. Leader of the Judahites: Nahshon son of Amminadab.
4 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם אַרְבָּעָה וְשִׁבְעִים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֹות	4 His company: seventy-four thousand six hundred men.
5 וְהַחֹנִים עָלָיו מַטֵּה יִשָּׂשכָר וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי יִשָּׂשכָר נְתַנְאֵל בֶּן־צוּעָר	5 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Issachar. Leader of the Issacharites: Nethanel son of Zuar.
6 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדָיו אַרְבָּעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות׃ ס	6 His company: fifty-four thousand four hundred men.
7 מַטֵּה זְבוּלֻן וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי זְבוּלֻן אֱלִיאָב בֶּן־חֵלֹן	7 'The tribe of Zebulun. Leader of the Zebulunites: Eliab son of Helon.
8 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדָיו שִׁבְעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות	8 His company: fifty-seven thousand four hundred men.
9 כָּל־הַפְּקֻדִים לְמַחֲנֵה יְהוּדָה מְאַת אֶלֶף וּשְׁמֹנִים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשֶׁת־אֲלָפִים וְאַרְבַּע־מֵאֹות לְצִבְאֹתָם רִאשֹׁנָה יִסָּעוּ׃ ס	9 'The tribal forces in the camp of Judah number in al a hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred.These will be the first to break camp.
10 דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה רְאוּבֵן תֵּימָנָה לְצִבְאֹתָם וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן אֱלִיצוּר בֶּן־שְׁדֵיאוּר	10 'On the south side, the standard of the camp of Reuben, unit by unit. Leader of the Reubenites: Elizurson of Shedeur.
11 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדָיו שִׁשָּׁה וְאַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות	11 His company: forty-six thousand five hundred men.
12 וְהַחֹונִם עָלָיו מַטֵּה שִׁמְעֹון וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי שִׁמְעֹון שְׁלֻמִיאֵל בֶּן־צוּרִי־שַׁדָּי	12 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Simeon. Leader of the Simeonites: Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.
13 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם תִּשְׁעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאֹות	13 His company: fifty-nine thousand three hundred men.
14 וְמַטֵּה גָּד וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי גָד אֶלְיָסָף בֶּן־רְעוּאֵל	14 'The tribe of Gad. Leader of the Gadites: Eliasaph son of Reuel.
15 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם חֲמִשָּׁה וְאַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֹות וַחֲמִשִּׁים	15 His company: forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty men.
16 כָּל־הַפְּקֻדִים לְמַחֲנֵה רְאוּבֵן מְאַת אֶלֶף וְאֶחָד וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע־מֵאֹות וַחֲמִשִּׁים לְצִבְאֹתָם וּשְׁנִיִּם יִסָּעוּ׃ ס	16 'The tribal forces in the camp of Reuben number in al a hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundredand fifty. They will be second to break camp.
17 וְנָסַע אֹהֶל־מֹועֵד מַחֲנֵה הַלְוִיִּם בְּתֹוךְ הַמַּחֲנֹת כַּאֲשֶׁר יַחֲנוּ כֵּן יִסָּעוּ אִישׁ עַל־יָדֹו לְדִגְלֵיהֶם׃ ס	17 'Next, the Tent of Meeting wil move, since the camp of the Levites is situated in the middle of the other camps. The order of movement wil be the order of encampment, each man under his own standard.
18 דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה אֶפְרַיִם לְצִבְאֹתָם יָמָּה וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי אֶפְרַיִם אֱלִישָׁמָע בֶּן־עַמִּיהוּד	18 'On the west side, the standard of the camp of Ephraim, unit by unit. Leader of the Ephraimites:Elishama son of Ammihud.
19 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם אַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות	19 His company: forty thousand five hundred men.
20 וְעָלָיו מַטֵּה מְנַשֶּׁה וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי מְנַשֶּׁה גַּמְלִיאֵל בֶּן־פְּדָהצוּר	20 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Manasseh. Leader of the Manassehites: Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.
21 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם שְׁנַיִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וּמָאתָיִם	21 His company: thirty-two thousand two hundred men.
22 וּמַטֵּה בִּנְיָמִן וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי בִנְיָמִן אֲבִידָן בֶּן־גִּדְעֹנִי	22 'The tribe of Benjamin. Leader of the Benjaminites: Abidan son of Gideoni.
23 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם חֲמִשָּׁה וּשְׁלֹשִׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות	23 His company: thirty-five thousand four hundred men.
24 כָּל־הַפְּקֻדִים לְמַחֲנֵה אֶפְרַיִם מְאַת אֶלֶף וּשְׁמֹנַת־אֲלָפִים וּמֵאָה לְצִבְאֹתָם וּשְׁלִשִׁים יִסָּעוּ׃ ס	24 'The tribal forces in the camp of Ephraim number in all a hundred and eight thousand one hundred.They wil be third to break camp.
25 דֶּגֶל מַחֲנֵה דָן צָפֹנָה לְצִבְאֹתָם וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי דָן אֲחִיעֶזֶר בֶּן־עַמִּישַׁדָּי	25 'On the north side, the standard of the camp of Dan, unit by unit. Leader of the Danites: Ahiezer sonof Ammishaddai.
26 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם שְׁנַיִם וְשִׁשִּׁים אֶלֶף וּשְׁבַע מֵאֹות	26 His company: sixty-two thousand seven hundred men.
27 וְהַחֹנִים עָלָיו מַטֵּה אָשֵׁר וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי אָשֵׁר פַּגְעִיאֵל בֶּן־עָכְרָן	27 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Asher. Leader of the Asherites: Pagiel son of Ochran.
28 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם אֶחָד וְאַרְבָּעִים אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות	28 His company: forty-one thousand five hundred men.
29 וּמַטֵּה נַפְתָּלִי וְנָשִׂיא לִבְנֵי נַפְתָּלִי אֲחִירַע בֶּן־עֵינָן	29 'The tribe of Naphtali. Leader of the Naphtalites: Ahira son of Enan.
30 וּצְבָאֹו וּפְקֻדֵיהֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְאַרְבַּע מֵאֹות	30 His company: fifty-three thousand four hundred men.
31 כָּל־הַפְּקֻדִים לְמַחֲנֵה דָן מְאַת אֶלֶף וְשִׁבְעָה וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְשֵׁשׁ מֵאֹות לָאַחֲרֹנָה יִסְעוּ לְדִגְלֵיהֶם׃ פ	31 'The tribal forces in the camp of Dan number in all a hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred.They wil be the last to break camp. 'Al under their appropriate standards.'
32 אֵלֶּה פְּקוּדֵי בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל לְבֵית אֲבֹתָם כָּל־פְּקוּדֵי הַמַּחֲנֹת לְצִבְאֹתָם שֵׁשׁ־מֵאֹות אֶלֶף וּשְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאֹות וַחֲמִשִּׁים	32 Such was the tally of the Israelites when the census was taken by families. The ful count of the entirecamp, unit by unit, came to six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.
33 וְהַלְוִיִּם לֹא הָתְפָּקְדוּ בְּתֹוךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה	33 But, as Yahweh had ordered Moses, the Levites were not included in the census of the Israelites.
34 וַיַּעֲשׂוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה כֵּן־חָנוּ לְדִגְלֵיהֶם וְכֵן נָסָעוּ אִישׁ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָיו עַל־בֵּית אֲבֹתָיו	34 The Israelites did exactly as Yahweh had ordered Moses. This was how they pitched camp, groupedby standards. This was how they broke camp, each man in his own clan, each man with his own family.
