SMITH VAN DYKE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 فقال داود هذا هو بيت الرب الاله وهذا هو مذبح المحرقة لاسرائيل.	1 David then said, 'This is to be the house of Yahweh God and this the altar of burnt offering for Israel.'
2 وأمر داود بجمع الاجنبيين الذين في ارض اسرائيل واقام نحّاتين لنحت حجارة مربعة لبناء بيت الله	2 David then gave orders for al foreigners in Israel to be rounded up, and appointed quarrymen to cutdressed stone for building the house of God.
3 وهيّأ داود حديدا كثيرا للمسامير لمصاريع الابواب وللوصل ونحاسا كثيرا بلا وزن	3 David also prepared great quantities of iron to make nails for the leaves of the doors and for theclamps, and more bronze than could be weighed,
4 وخشب ارز لم يكن له عدد لان الصيدونيين والصوريين أتوا بخشب ارز كثير الى داود.	4 as wel as innumerable cedar-wood logs, as the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought cedar logs toDavid in great quantities.
5 وقال داود ان سليمان ابني صغير وغضّ والبيت الذي يبنى للرب يكون عظيما جدا في الاسم والمجد في جميع الاراضي فانا اهيئ له. فهيّأ داود كثيرا قبل وفاته	5 David then said, 'My son Solomon is young and immature, and the house to be built for Yahweh mustbe superlatively fine, the most famous and splendid in any country. I shal now make the preparations for it.' Andso, before he died, David made ample preparations.
6 ودعا سليمان ابنه واوصاه ان يبني بيتا للرب اله اسرائيل.	6 He then summoned his son Solomon and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, God of Israel.
7 وقال داود لسليمان يا ابني قد كان في قلبي ان ابني بيتا لاسم الرب الهي.	7 'My son,' David said to Solomon, 'my heart was set on building a house for the name of Yahweh myGod.
8 فكان اليّ كلام الرب قائلا قد سفكت دما كثيرا وعملت حروبا عظيمة فلا تبني بيتا لاسمي لانك سفكت دماء كثيرة على الارض امامي.	8 But the word of Yahweh came to me, "You have shed much blood and fought great wars; it is not foryou to build a house for my name, since you have shed much blood in my sight on earth.
9 هوذا يولد لك ابن يكون صاحب راحة واريحه من جميع اعدائه حواليه لان اسمه يكون سليمان. فاجعل سلاما وسكينة في اسرائيل في ايامه.	9 Look, a son will be born to you. He will be a man of peace, and I shal give him peace from hisenemies on all sides; for Solomon is to be his name, and in his days I shal give Israel peace and tranquil ity.
10 هو يبني بيتا لاسمي وهو يكون لي ابنا وانا له ابا واثبت كرسي ملكه على اسرائيل الى الابد.	10 He must build a house for my name; he wil be my son and I shall be his father, and I shall make thethrone of his kingdom secure over Israel for ever."
11 الآن يا ابني ليكن الرب معك فتفلح وتبني بيت الرب الهك كما تكلم عنك.	11 Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and give you success in building a house for Yahweh yourGod, as he has promised about you.
12 انما يعطيك الرب فطنة وفهما ويوصيك باسرائيل لحفظ شريعة الرب الهك.	12 And especial y, may Yahweh give you discretion and discernment, may he give you his orders forIsrael, so that you may observe the Law of Yahweh your God.
13 حينئذ تفلح اذا تحفظت لعمل الفرائض والاحكام التي أمر بها الرب موسى لاجل اسرائيل. تشدد وتشجع لا تخف ولا ترتعب.	13 Success wil be yours, only if you observe the statutes and ordinances which Yahweh gave Mosesas regulations for Israel. Be strong and stand fast, be fearless, be dauntless.
14 هانذا في مذلتي هيّأت لبيت الرب ذهبا مئة الف وزنة وفضة الف الف وزنة ونحاسا وحديدا بلا وزن لانه كثير. وقد هيّأت خشبا وحجارة فتزيد عليها.	14 Now, poor as I am, I have set aside for the house of Yahweh a hundred thousand talents of gold, amil ion talents of silver and more bronze and iron than can be weighed, there being so much. I have alsoprovided timber and stone, to which you may add more.
15 وعندك كثيرون من عاملي الشغل نحاتين وبنائين ونجارين وكل حكيم في كل عمل.	15 Furthermore, you have a large number of workmen, quarrymen, masons, carpenters and al sorts ofcraftsmen for every kind of work,
16 الذهب والفضة والنحاس والحديد ليس لها عدد. قم واعمل وليكن الرب معك.	16 while your gold and silver, bronze and iron wil be beyond reckoning. Set to work, then, and mayYahweh be with you!'
17 وأمر داود جميع رؤساء اسرائيل ان يساعدوا سليمان ابنه.	17 David then commanded al the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon.
18 اليس الرب الهكم معكم وقد اراحكم من كل ناحية لانه دفع ليدي سكان الارض فخضعت الارض امام الرب وامام شعبه.	18 'Has not Yahweh your God been with you and given you peace on al sides, having put theinhabitants of the country into my power and the country now having been subdued for Yahweh and his people?
19 فالآن اجعلوا قلوبكم وانفسكم لطلب الرب الهكم وقوموا وابنوا مقدس الرب الاله ليؤتى بتابوت عهد الرب وبآنية قدس الله الى البيت الذي يبنى لاسم الرب	19 So now devote heart and soul to searching for Yahweh your God. Set to and build the sanctuary ofYahweh God, so that you can bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh and the holy vessels of God into thehouse built for the name of Yahweh.'
