Zacarias 9

SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Oráculo. A palavra do Senhor repousa na terra de Hadrac e de Damasco. {Porque ao Senhor pertencem as cidades de Arã, assim como todas as tribos de Israel},	1 An oracle: The word of the LORD is upon the land of Hadrach, and Damascus is its resting place, For the cities of Aram are the LORD'S, as are all the tribes of Israel,
2 e também em Hamat, vizinha de Damasco, e em Tiro e Sidônia, apesar de sua sabedoria.	2 Hamath also, on its border, Tyre too, and Sidon, however wise they be.
3 Tiro levantou suas muralhas, amontoou prata como o pó, e ouro como a lama dos caminhos.	3 Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the mire of the streets.
4 Eis que o Senhor vai apoderar-se dela: ele destruirá suas fortificações, o fogo a devorará.	4 Lo, the LORD will strip her of her possessions, and smite her power on the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire.
5 Ao saber disso, Ascalon se apavorará, Gaza ficará tremendo, e Acaron igualmente, vendo a sua esperança frustrada; o rei desaparecerá de Gaza, Ascalon ficará desabitada!	5 Ashkelon shall see it and be afraid; Gaza also: she shall be in great anguish; Ekron, too, for her hope shall come to nought. The king shall disappear from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited,
6 Estranhos se instalarão em Azot, destruirei a soberba do filisteu.	6 and the baseborn shall occupy Ashdod. I will destroy the pride of the Philistine
7 Tirarei de sua boca o sangue que comia e dos seus dentes as carnes abomináveis e também ele será um resto para o nosso Deus. Ele viverá como uma família de Judá, Acaron será tratada como o jebuseu.	7 and take from his mouth his bloody meat, and his abominations from between his teeth: He also shall become a remnant for our God, and shall be like a family in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.
8 Montarei guarda junto de minha casa, para protegê-la contra as idas e vindas; o inimigo não oprimirá mais o meu povo, porque doravante terei meus olhos sobre ele.	8 I will encamp by my house as a guard that none may pass to and fro; No oppressor shall pass over them again, for now I have regard for their affliction.
9 Exulta de alegria, filha de Sião, solta gritos de júbilo, filha de Jerusalém; eis que vem a ti o teu rei, justo e vitorioso; ele é simples e vem montado num jumento, no potro de uma jumenta.	9 Rejoice heartily, O daughter Zion, shout for joy, O daughter Jerusalem! See, your king shall come to you; a just savior is he, Meek, and riding on an ass, on a colt, the foal of an ass.
10 Ele suprimirá os carros de guerra na terra de Efraim, e os cavalos de Jerusalém. O arco de guerra será quebrado. Ele proclamará a paz entre as nações, seu império estender-se-á de um mar ao outro, desde o rio até as extremidades da terra.	10 He shall banish the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; The warrior's bow shall be banished, and he shall proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.
11 Quanto a ti, por causa de tua aliança de sangue, libertarei os teus cativos da fossa sem água.	11 As for you, for the blood of your covenant with me, I will bring forth your prisoners from the dungeon.
12 Voltai, pois, para a vossa terra, vós que viveis de esperança. Desde agora vos anuncio que vos indenizarei em dobro.	12 In the return to the fortress of the waiting prisoners, This very day, I will return you double for your exile.
13 Eis que estiro Judá como um arco, tomo Efraim como flecha. Suscitarei os teus filhos, ó Sião, contra os filhos de Javã, tornar-te-ei como a espada de um valente.	13 For I will bend Judah as my bow, I will arm myself with Ephraim; I will arouse your sons, O Zion, (against your sons, O Yavan,) and I will use you as a warrior's sword.
14 O Senhor vai aparecer sobre eles; sua flecha fuzilará como o relâmpago; ele vai tocar a trombeta e em meio à borrasca do sul aparecerá.	14 The LORD shall appear over them, and his arrow shall shoot forth as lightning; The LORD God shall sound the trumpet, and come in a storm from the south.
15 O Senhor dos exércitos protegerá Israel; eles devorarão os atiradores de funda e os pisarão aos pés, e beberão o seu sangue como vinho; ficarão fartos como a taça dos sacrifícios, e saturados como os cornos do altar.	15 The LORD of hosts shall be a shield over them, they shall overcome sling stones and trample them underfoot; They shall drink blood like wine, till they are filled with it like libation bowls, like the corners of the altar.
16 O Senhor seu Deus lhes assegurará a vitória. Naquele dia, o rebanho de seu povo brilhará sobre a terra como as pedras de um diadema.	16 And the LORD, their God, shall save them on that day, his people, like a flock. For they are the jewels in a crown raised aloft over his land.
17 Que felicidade! Que beleza será a sua! O trigo dará vigor aos jovens, e o vinho, {saúde} às donzelas.	17 For what wealth is theirs, and what beauty! grain that makes the youths flourish, and new wine, the maidens!
