1 Now, concerning the ministry that is done toward the saints, it is not necessary for me to write to you.	1 Ma intorno a questo mistero, che a esercita a pro de' santi, è cosa superflua, che io vi scriva.
2 For I know your willing mind. I glory about you, concerning this, to the Macedonians. For Achaia has also been prepared, for the past year. And your example has inspired very many others.	2 Imperocché mi è nota la prontezza dell'animo vostro: per la quale di voi mi glorio presso i Macedoni, che l'Acaia anch'essa è preparata dall'anno scorso, ed il vostro zelo ha provocato moltissimi.
3 Now I have sent the brothers, so that what we glory about concerning you might be not be empty in this matter, in order that (as I have explained) you may be prepared.	3 Ma ho mandati questi fratelli: affinchè il vanto, che ci diamo di voi, non riesca vano per questo lato, affinchè (siccome ho detto) siate preparati:
4 Otherwise, if the Macedonians arrive with me and find you unprepared, we (not to mention you) would be ashamed in this matter.	4 Onde venuti che siano meco i Macedoni, trovandovi non preparati non abbiamo da arrossire noi (per non dir voi) per questo lato.
5 Therefore, I considered it necessary to ask the brothers to go to you in advance and to prepare this blessing as promised, and in this way, you may be ready as a blessing, not as an excess.	5 Ho creduto perciò necessario di pregare questi fratelli a venir prima da voi, e a preparare la già annunziata vostra benedizione, che sia preparata come benedizione, non come spilorceria.
6 But I say this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. And whoever sows with blessings shall also reap from blessings:	6 Or io dico cosi; chi semina con parsimonia, mieterà parcamente: e chi copiosamente semina, copiosamente mieterà.
7 each one giving, just as he has determined in his heart, neither out of sadness, nor out of obligation. For God loves a cheerful giver.	7 Ciascheduno conforme ha stimato meglio in cuor suo, non di mala voglia, o per necessità: imperocché Dio ama l'ilare donatore.
8 And God is able to make every grace abound in you, so that, always having what you need in all things, you may abound unto every good work,	8 Ed è Dio potente per fare, che abbondiate voi d'ogni bene: talmente che contenti sempre d'avere in ogni cosa tutto il sufficiente abbondiate in ogni buona opera,
9 just as it was written: “He has distributed widely, he has given to the poor; his justice remains from age to age.”	9 Conforme sta scritto: profuse, diede a' poveri: In giustizia di lui sussiste ne' secoli de' secoli.
10 And he who ministers seed to the sower will offer you bread to eat, and will multiply your seed, and will increase the growth of the fruits of your justice.	10 E colui, che somministra la semenza a chi semina, darà ancora il pane da mangiare, e moltiplicherà la vostra sementa, e accrescerà, sempre più i proventi della vostra giustizia:
11 So then, having been enriched in all things, you may abound in all simplicity, which works thanksgiving to God through us.	11 Affinchè divenuti ricchi in tutte le cose, sfoggiate in ogni sorta di benignità, la quale produce per parte nostra rendimenti di grazie a Dio.
12 For the ministration of this office not only supplies whatever the saints need, but also abounds through many thanksgivings in the Lord.	12 Imperocché il servigio di questa sagra oblazione non solo supplisce al bisogno de' santi, ma ridonda eziandio in molti rendimenti di grazie al Signore.
13 And so, through the evidence of this ministry, you glorify God by the obedience of your confession in the Gospel of Christ, and by the simplicity of your communion with them and with everyone,	13 Mentre facendo sperimento (di voi) in questo servigio, danno a Dio gloria per la soggezione professata da voi al vangelo di Cristo, e per la liberale comunicazione (vostra) con essi, e con tutti,
14 and they offer prayers for you, being solicitous about you, because of the excellent grace of God within you.	14 E (ridonda) delle loro orazioni per voi, amandovi quegli grandemente a motivo della eminente grazia di Dio, che è in voi.
15 Thanks be to God for his ineffable gift.	15 Grazie a Dio per lo ineffabile suo dono.
