Zechariah 9

1 The burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach and its respite in Damascus. For the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is of the Lord.	1 Oráculo. La palabra del Señor llegó al país de Jadrac, y en Damasco está su reposo; porque al Señor pertenece la fuente de Aram, como todas las tribus de Israel,
2 Hamath also is at its limits, and Tyre and Sidon. For, of course, they have assumed themselves to be exceedingly wise.	2 y también Jamat, que está en su frontera, y Tiro y Sidón. Por su gran sabiduría,
3 And Tyre has built herself a fortress, and she has piled together silver, as if it were soil, and gold, as if it were the mud of the streets.	3 Tiro se construyó una fortaleza, amontonó plata como polvo y oro fino como barro de las calles.
4 Behold, the Lord will possess her, and he will strike her strength in the sea, and she will be devoured by fire.	4 Pero el Señor va a apoderarse de eso, arrojará su poderío en el mar y ella misma será presa de las llamas.
5 Ashkelon will see and be afraid. Both Gaza and he will be very sorrowful, as well as Ekron, because her hope has been confounded. And the king will pass away from Gaza, and Ashkelon will not be inhabited.	5 Lo verá Ascalón y temerá; también Gaza, y se retorcerá de dolor, y lo mismo Ecrón, porque su esperanza quedó defraudada; Gaza no tendrá más rey, Ascalón ya no será habitada
6 And the divider will sit in Ashdod, and I will scatter the arrogance of the Philistines.	6 y gente bastarda se instalará en Asdod. Yo aniquilaré el orgullo del filisteo,
7 And I will take away his blood from his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth, and yet he will be left for our God, and he will be like a governor in Judah, and Ekron will be like a Jebusite.	7 quitaré la sangre de su boca y sus abominaciones de entre sus dientes. El también será un resto para nuestro Dios, será como un jefe en Judá, y Ecrón será como un jebuseo.
8 And I will encircle my house with those who serve me in war, going and returning, and the exactor will no longer pass over them. For now I have seen with my eyes.	8 Yo acamparé junto a mi casa como una guardia contra los que pasan y vuelven: no pasará más entre ellos ningún opresor, porque ahora he visto con mis ojos.
9 Rejoice well, daughter of Zion, shout for joy, daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, your King will come to you: the Just One, the Savior. He is poor and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt, the son of a donkey.	9 ¡Alégrate mucho, hija de Sión! ¡Grita de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén! Mira que tu Rey viene hacia ti; él es justo y victorioso, es humilde y está montado sobre un asno, sobre la cría de un asna.
10 And I will scatter the four-horse chariot out of Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem, and the bow of war will be destroyed. And he will speak peace to the Gentiles, and his power will be from sea to sea, and from the rivers even to the end of the earth.	10 El suprimirá los carros de Efraím y los caballos de Jerusalén; el arco de guerra será suprimido y proclamará la paz a las naciones. Su dominio se extenderá de un mar hasta el otro, y desde el Río hasta los confines de la tierra.
11 You, likewise, by the blood of your testimony, have sent forth your prisoners from the pit, in which there is no water.	11 En cuanto a ti, por la sangre de alianza yo libraré a tus cautivos de la fosa sin agua.
12 Turn back to the fortress, prisoners of hope. Today, I also announce that I will repay you double,	12 Vuelvan a la plaza fuerte, cautivos llenos de esperanza. Sí, hoy mismo lo declaro: yo te daré una doble compensación.
13 because I have stretched out Judah for myself, like a bow; I have filled Ephraim. And I will raise up your sons, Zion, above your sons, Greece. And I will set you as the sword of the strength.	13 Porque yo tendí mi arco: es Judá; lo armé con Efraím. Lanzaré a tus hijos, Sión, contra tus hijos, Javán; te empuñaré como una espada de guerrero.
14 And the Lord God will be seen over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning. And the Lord God will sound the trumpet, and he will go forth into the whirlwind of the South.	14 El Señor aparecerá sobre ellos, y su flecha partirá como el rayo. El Señor hará sonar la trompeta y avanzará en los torbellinos del sur.
15 The Lord of hosts will protect them. And they will devour and subdue with the stones of the sling. And, when drinking, they will become inebriated, as if with wine, and they will be filled like bowls and like the horns of the altar.	15 El Señor de los ejércitos los escudará; ellos triunfarán y pisotearán las piedras de las hondas, beberán la sangre como si fuera vino, se llenarán como la copa de la aspersión, como los ángulos del altar.
16 And in that day, the Lord their God will save them as the flock of his people. For holy stones will be lifted up over his land.	16 El Señor, su Dios, los salvará en aquel día, como al rebaño de su pueblo; como piedras de una diadema, resplandecerán sobre su tierra.
17 For what is his goodness and what is his beauty, other than grain among the elect and wine springing forth virgins?	17 ¡Qué felicidad y qué hermosura! El trigo dará vigor a los jóvenes y el vino nuevo a las jóvenes.
