Leviticus 14

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Yahveh habló a Moisés diciendo:
2 This is the rite for a leper, when he is to be cleansed. He shall be brought to the priest,	2 Esta es la ley que ha de aplicarse al leproso en el día de su purificación. Se le conducirá al sacerdote,
3 who, departing from the camp, when he has found the leprosy to be cleansed,	3 y el sacerdote saldrá fuera del campamento; si, tras de haberlo examinado, comprueba que el leproso está ya curado de la llaga de lepra,
4 shall instruct him who is to be purified to offer for himself two living sparrows, which it is lawful to eat, and cedar wood, and vermillion, and hyssop.	4 el sacerdote mandará traer para el que ha de ser purificado dos pájaros vivos y puros, madera de cedro, púrpura escarlata e hisopo.
5 And he shall order that one of the sparrows be immolated in an earthen vessel over living waters.	5 Después mandará inmolar uno de los pájaros sobre una vasija de barro con agua viva.
6 But the other living one, with the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, he shall dip in the blood of the immolated sparrow.	6 Tomará luego el pájaro vivo, la madera de cedro, la púrpura escarlata y el hisopo, los mojará, juntamente con el pájaro vivo, en la sangre del pájaro inmolado sobre el agua viva,
7 And he shall sprinkle him who is to be cleansed seven times, so that he may be purified justly. And he shall release the living sparrow, so that it may fly away into the field.	7 y rociará siete veces al que ha de ser purificado de la lepra. Y, tras de declararlo puro, soltará en el campo el pájaro vivo.
8 And when the man will have washed his clothes, he shall shave all the hair from his body, and he shall be washed with water. And having been purified, he shall enter into the camp, only to this extent: that he may remain outside his own tent for seven days.	8 El que se purifica lavará sus vestidos, se afeitará todo su pelo, se bañará en agua, y quedará limpio. Después podrá entrar en el campamento; pero durante siete días ha de habitar fuera de su tienda.
9 And on the seventh day he shall shave the hair of his head, and his beard, and his eyebrows, as well as the hair of his entire body. And having washed his clothes again, and his body,	9 El día séptimo se afeitará todo su pelo, su cabellera, su barba, sus cejas, es decir, se afeitará todo su pelo, lavará también sus vestidos, bañará su cuerpo en agua y quedará limpio.
10 on the eighth day, he shall take two immaculate lambs, and a one-year-old female sheep without blemish, and three tenths of fine wheat flour, which has been sprinkled with oil, as a sacrifice, and separately, one twelfth hin of oil.	10 El día octavo tomará dos corderos sin defecto y una cordera de un año sin defecto; y como oblación, tres décimas de flor de harina amasada con aceite y un cuartillo de aceite.
11 And when the priest purifying the man has presented him and all these things in the sight of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony,	11 El sacerdote que hace la purificación presentará ante Yahveh, junto con todas esas cosas, al hombre que ha de purificarse, a la entrada de la Tienda del Encuentro.
12 he shall take a lamb and offer it for transgression, with the twelfth hin of oil. And having offered all these before the Lord,	12 El sacerdote tomará uno de los corderos para ofrecerlo como sacrificio de reparación, además del cuartillo de aceite, y lo mecerá como ofrenda ante Yahveh.
13 he shall immolate the lamb, where the victim for sin is usually immolated with the holocaust, that is, in the holy place. For just as with the one for sin, so also the victim for transgression belongs to the priest. It is the Holy of holies.	13 Luego inmolará el cordero en el lugar donde se inmola el sacrificio por el pecado y el holocausto, en lugar sagrado; porque, tanto en el sacrificio por el pecado como en el sacrificio de reparación, la víctima pertenece al sacerdote; es cosa sacratísima.
14 And taking some of the blood of the victim, which was immolated for transgression, the priest shall place it upon the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and likewise the foot.	14 Después el sacerdote tomará sangre de la víctima de reparación y mojará el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se está purificando, el pulgar de su mano derecha y el de su pie derecho.
15 And he shall send some of the twelfth hin of oil into his own left hand,	15 Y, tomando del cuartillo de aceite, el sacerdote echará parte de él sobre la palma de su mano izquierda.
16 and he shall dip his right finger in it, and he shall sprinkle it in the sight of the Lord seven times.	16 Después untará un dedo de su mano derecha en el aceite que tiene en la palma de su mano izquierda, y con su dedo hará siete aspersiones de aceite delante de Yahveh.
17 But the oil which remains in his left hand, he shall pour over the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand as well as the foot, and upon the blood which was shed for transgression,	17 Con el aceite restante que tiene en su mano el sacerdote untará el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, el pulgar de su mano derecha y el de su pie derecho sobre la sangre de la víctima de reparación.
18 and upon his head.	18 El resto del aceite que quede en la mano del sacerdote, se echará sobre la cabeza del que se purifica. El sacerdote expiará así por él ante Yahveh.
19 And he shall pray for him in the sight of the Lord, and he shall accomplish the sacrifice on behalf of sin. Then he shall immolate the holocaust,	19 El sacerdote ofrecerá el sacrificio por el pecado y hará expiación por el que se purifica de su impureza; después inmolará el holocausto.
20 and place it upon the altar with its libations, and the man will be duly cleansed.	20 Y ofrecerá sobre el altar el holocausto y la oblación. De esta manera el sacerdote hará expiación por él y quedará limpio.
21 But if he is poor, and his hand is not able to find what has been said, he shall take a lamb as an offering for transgression, so that the priest may pray for him, and a tenth part of fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil, as a sacrifice, and a twelfth hin of oil,	21 Si es pobre y no tiene suficientes recursos, tomará un cordero como sacrificio de reparación, como ofrenda mecida, para hacer expiación por él, y además, como oblación, una décima de flor de harina amasada con aceite, un cuartillo de aceite,
22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, of which one may be for sin, and the other as a holocaust.	22 y dos tórtolas o dos pichones, según sus recursos, uno como sacrificio por el pecado, y otro como holocausto.
23 And he shall offer them on the eighth day of his purification to the priest at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony in the sight of the Lord.	23 Al octavo día, los llevará al sacerdote, a la entrada de la Tienda del Encuentro para su purificación delante de Yahveh.
24 And he, receiving the lamb for transgression, and the twelfth hin of oil, shall lift them up together.	24 El sacerdote tomará el cordero del sacrificio de reparación y el cuartillo de aceite, y los mecerá como ofrenda ante Yahveh.
25 And when the lamb has been immolated, he shall place some of its blood upon the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, as well as the foot.	25 Después de haber inmolado el cordero del sacrificio de reparación, el sacerdote tomará sangre de la víctima de reparación y mojará el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, el pulgar de su mano derecha y el de su pie derecho.
26 Yet truly, he shall send part of the oil into his own left hand,	26 Luego derramará parte del aceite sobre la palma de su mano izquierda;
27 and dipping the finger of his right hand in it, he shall sprinkle it seven times before the Lord.	27 con un dedo de su mano derecha hará ante Yahveh siete aspersiones con el aceite que tiene en la palma de la mano izquierda,
28 And he shall touch the tip of the right ear of him who is being cleansed, and the thumb of his right hand, as well as the foot, in the place of the blood which was shed for transgression.	28 untará con el aceite que tiene en su mano el lóbulo de la oreja derecha del que se purifica, el pulgar de su mano derecha y el de su pie derecho, en el lugar donde puso la sangre de la víctima de reparación.
29 But the remaining part of the oil which is in his left hand, he shall send upon the head of the one being purified, to appease the Lord on his behalf.	29 Derramará el resto del aceite que le quede en la mano sobre la cabeza del que se purifica, haciendo expiación por él ante Yahveh.
30 And he shall offer a turtledove or a young pigeon,	30 Luego ofrecerá, conforme a los recursos suyos, una de las tórtolas o de los pichones,
31 one for transgression, and the other as a holocaust, with their libations.	31 es decir, lo que alcanzan sus recursos, uno como sacrificio por el pecado, y otro como holocausto, además de la oblación. De este modo el sacerdote hará expiación ante Yahveh por aquel que se purifica.
32 This is the sacrifice of a leper, who is not able to obtain all of the things concerning his cleansing.	32 Esta es la ley de purificación para aquel que tiene llaga de lepra y cuyos recursos son limitados.
33 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:	33 Yahveh habló a Moisés y a Aarón diciendo:
34 When you will have entered into the land of Canaan, which I will give to you as a possession, if there is the mark of leprosy in a building,	34 Cuando hayáis entrado en la tierra de Canaán que yo os doy en posesión, y castigue con lepra alguna de las casas de la tierra que poseeréis,
35 he whose house it is shall go and report to the priest, saying: “It seems to me that the mark of leprosy is in my house.”	35 el propietario de la casa irá a avisar al sacerdote, diciendo: «Ha aparecido algo como lepra en mi casa.»
36 And he shall instruct them to carry all things out of the house, before he would enter it and see whether it is leprosy, lest all that is in the house become unclean. And after this, he shall enter to examine the leprosy of the house.	36 El sacerdote, antes de entrar en la casa para examinar la lepra, ordenará que desocupen la casa, para que nada quede inmundo de cuanto hay en ella. Después entrará el sacerdote a examinar la casa.
37 And when he will have seen in its walls something like little hollows, deformed with paleness or redness, and lower than the remaining surface,	37 Si al examinarla observa que la mancha forma en las paredes de la casa cavidades verdosas y rojizas que parecen hundidas en la pared,
38 he shall exit by the door of the house, and immediately close it up for seven days.	38 el sacerdote saldrá a la puerta de la casa y la cerrará durante siete días.
39 And returning on the seventh day, he shall examine it. If he finds that the leprosy has spread,	39 Volverá al día séptimo, y si comprueba que la mancha se ha extendido por las paredes de la casa,
40 he shall order the stones in which the leprosy is, to be dug out and cast outside the city in an unclean place,	40 mandará arrancar las piedras manchadas y arrojarlas fuera de la ciudad en un lugar inmundo.
41 and that the house be scraped on the inside all around, and that the dust of the scrapings be scattered outside the city in an unclean place,	41 Hará raspar todo el interior de la casa; y echarán fuera de la ciudad, en un lugar inmundo, el polvo que hayan quitado.
42 and that other stones be put back, in place of those which had been taken away, and that the house be plastered with other mortar.	42 Luego tomarán otras piedras y las pondrán en lugar de las primeras; y también argamasa nueva para revocar la casa.
43 But if, after the stones have been dug out, and the dust wiped away, and it is plastered with other clay,	43 Si la mancha vuelve a extenderse por la casa después de haber arrancado las piedras, y de haberla raspado y revocado,
44 the priest, upon entering, will have seen that the leprosy has returned, and that the walls are sprinkled with spots, then it is a persistent leprosy and the house is unclean.	44 el sacerdote entrará de nuevo; y si comprueba que la mancha se ha extendido por la casa, hay un caso de lepra maligna en la casa, y ésta es impura.
45 And so they shall promptly destroy it, and shall cast its stones and timber, and also all the dust, outside the town in an unclean place.	45 Se derribará la casa. Sus piedras, sus maderas y todo el material de la casa será sacado fuera de la ciudad a un lugar inmundo.
46 Whoever enters into the house when it is closed up shall be unclean until evening.	46 Quien entre en esa casa durante el tiempo que esté clausurada quedará impuro hasta la tarde.
47 And whoever will have slept in it, or eaten anything, shall wash his clothes.	47 El que duerma en ella habrá de lavar sus vestidos; y también el que coma en ella habrá de lavarlos.
48 But if the priest, upon entering, will have seen that the leprosy has not spread in the house, after it had been newly plastered, he shall purify it, restoring it to health.	48 Mas si el sacerdote comprueba al entrar que, después de revocada la casa, la mancha no se ha extendido por ella, la declarará pura, pues se ha curado del mal.
49 And for its purification, he shall take two sparrows, and cedar wood, and vermillion, as well as hyssop,	49 Entonces, para ofrecer por la casa un sacrificio por el pecado, tomará dos pájaros, madera de cedro, púrpura escarlata e hisopo;
50 and, having immolated one sparrow in an earthen vessel over living waters,	50 inmolará uno de los pájaros sobre una vasija de barro con agua viva
51 he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living sparrow, and he shall dip all these in the blood of the immolated sparrow, and also in the living water, and he shall sprinkle the house seven times.	51 y, tomando la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la púrpura escarlata, con el pájaro vivo, los mojará en la sangre del pájaro degollado y en el agua viva; y rociará la casa siete veces.
52 And he shall purify it as much with the blood of the sparrow as with the living water, and with the living sparrow, and the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the vermillion.	52 Y, tras haber realizado el sacrificio por el pecado en favor de la casa con la sangre del pájaro, con el agua viva, el pájaro vivo, la madera de cedro, el hisopo y la lana escarlata,
53 And when he has released the sparrow to fly freely away into the field, he shall pray for the house, and it shall be justly cleansed.	53 soltará el pájaro vivo fuera de la ciudad, en el campo. De este modo hará expiación por la casa, la cual quedará pura.
54 This is the law of every kind of leprosy and plague:	54 Esta es la ley para toda clase de lepra o de tiña,
55 of the leprosy of garments and houses,	55 para la lepra del vestido y de la casa,
56 of scars and erupting pustules, of a shining spot, when the appearance is also variegated,	56 para los tumores, erupciones y manchas blancas,
57 so that it can be known at what time a thing is clean or unclean.	57 y para declarar los períodos de impureza y de pureza. Esta es la ley de la lepra.
