A Psalm of David himself. The Lord has reigned: let the peoples be angry. He sits upon the cherubim: let the earth be moved.1 [Psalm] Sing a new song to Yahweh, for he has performed wonders, his saving power is in his righthand and his holy arm.
The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high above all peoples.2 Yahweh has made known his saving power, revealed his saving justice for the nations to see,
May they confess to your great name, for it is terrible and holy.3 mindful of his faithful love and his constancy to the House of Israel. The whole wide world has seenthe saving power of our God.
And the honor of the king loves judgment. You have prepared guidance. You have accomplished judgment and justice in Jacob.4 Acclaim Yahweh, all the earth, burst into shouts of joy!
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore the footstool of his feet, for it is holy.5 Play to Yahweh on the harp, to the sound of instruments;
Moses and Aaron are among his priests, and Samuel is among those who call upon his name. They called upon the Lord, and he heeded them.6 to the sound of trumpet and horn, acclaim the presence of the King.
He spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud. They kept his testimonies and the precept that he gave them.7 Let the sea thunder, and al that it holds, the world and al who live in it.
You heeded them, O Lord our God. You were a forgiving God to them, though taking vengeance on all their inventions.8 Let the rivers clap their hands, and the mountains shout for joy together,
Exalt the Lord our God, and adore on his holy mountain. For the Lord our God is holy.9 at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge the earth; he wil judge the world with saving justiceand the nations with fairness.
