1 Unto the end. For the wine and oil presses. A Psalm of Asaph himself.	1 Провідникові хору. На мелодію «Лілея свідоцтва». Псалом. Асафа.
2 Exult before God our helper. Sing joyfully to the God of Jacob.	2 О Пастирю Ізраїля, прихили вухо Ти, що ведеш Йосифа, як отару, ти, що на херувимах возсідаєш, як у сяйві!
3 Take up a psalm, and bring forth the timbrel: a pleasing Psalter with stringed instruments.	3 Перед Ефраїмом і Веніямином і Манассією збуди твою потугу й прийди нам на спасіння.
4 Sound the trumpet at the new moon, on the noteworthy day of your solemnity,	4 О Боже, віднови нас, засяй твоїм обличчям, і спасемося.
5 for it is a precept in Israel and a judgment for the God of Jacob.	5 Господи Боже Сил, докіль палатимеш гнівом, не зважаючи на мольби твого народу?
6 He set it as a testimony with Joseph, when he went out of the land of Egypt. He heard a tongue that he did not know.	6 Ти годував їх хлібом із сльозами, і поїв їх слізьми щедро.
7 He turned the burdens away from his back. His hands had been a slave to baskets.	7 Ти видав нас на наругу сусідам нашим, і вороги наші залюбки з нас глузують.
8 You called upon me in tribulation, and I freed you. I heard you within the hidden tempest. I tested you with waters of contradiction.	8 О Боже сил, обнови нас, засяй твоїм обличчям, і ми спасемося.
9 My people, listen and I will call you to testify. If, O Israel, you will pay heed to me,	9 Вирвав єси з Єгипту лозу виноградну, прогнав народи, щоб її насадити;
10 then there will be no new god among you, nor will you adore a foreign god.	10 приготував ти для неї місце, вона пустила корінь і заповнила землю.
11 For I am the Lord your God, who led you out of the land of Egypt. Widen your mouth, and I will fill it.	11 Гори вкрились її тінню, віттям її — кедри високі.
12 But my people did not hear my voice, and Israel was not attentive to me.	12 Вона розкинула свої гілляки аж до моря, а паростки свої аж до самої річки.
13 And so, I sent them away, according to the desires of their heart. They will go forth according to their own inventions.	13 Навіщо розвалив ти огорожу її, що й обривають її всі перехожі,
14 If my people had heard me, if Israel had walked in my ways,	14 пустошить її вепр із лісу, і дикий звір на ній випасається?
15 I would have humbled their enemies, as if it were nothing, and I would have sent my hand upon those who troubled them.	15 О Боже сил, повернись бо! Споглянь із неба й подивися; навідайсь до лози цієї,
16 The enemies of the Lord have lied to him, and their time will come, in every age.	16 до пагінця, що твоя правиця посадила, до парости, що укріпив єси для себе.
17 And he fed them from the fat of the grain, and he saturated them with honey from the rock.	17 Ті, що вогнем її спалили, стяли, нехай погинуть від погрози обличчя твого.
	18 Нехай твоя рука буде на чоловікові твоєї правиці, на сині людськім, що його укріпив єси для себе.
	19 Ми не відступимо від тебе; живи нас, і ми визнаватимемо твоє ім’я.
	20 Господи Боже сил, обнови нас, засяй твоїм обличчям, ми спасемося!
