Psalms 1

CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the impious, and has not remained in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the chair of pestilence.	1 Beato l'uomo che non camminò nel consiglio degli empi e nella via dei peccatori non si fermò e nel consesso dei beffardi non s'assise;
2 But his will is with the law of the Lord, and he will meditate on his law, day and night.	2 ma nella legge del Signore è la sua gioia e in essa medita giorno e notte.
3 And he will be like a tree that has been planted beside running waters, which will provide its fruit in its time, and its leaf will not fall away, and all things whatsoever that he does will prosper.	3 Perciò sarà come un albero che su rivi d'acqua è piantato, che dà i suoi frutti ad ogni stagione, le cui foglie mai appassiscono: in ogni cosa che fa ha sempre successo.
4 Not so the impious, not so. For they are like the dust that the wind casts along the face of the earth.	4 Non così gli empi: essi al contrario saranno come pula che il vento sospinge.
5 Therefore, the impious will not prevail again in judgment, nor sinners in the council of the just.	5 Per questo non entreranno gli empi nel giudizio, né i peccatori nell'assemblea dei giusti,
6 For the Lord knows the way of the just. And the path of the impious will pass away.	6 Il Signore conosce la via dei giusti. mentre la via degli empi andrà in rovina.
