Exodus 30

1 “You shall also make an altar, for the burning of incense, from setim wood,	1 También harás un altar para quemar el incienso. Lo harás de madera de acacia,
2 having one cubit in length, and another in width, that is, four equal sides, and two cubits in height. Horns shall proceed from the same.	2 de cincuenta centímetros de largo por cincuenta de ancho, es decir, cuadrado. Tendrá un metro de alto. Sus cuernos formarán una sola pieza con él.
3 And you shall clothe it with the purest gold, both its grating and the walls around it, and also the horns. And you shall make for it a crown of gold in a circle,	3 Recubrirás de oro puro su parte superior, sus costados y sus cuernos, y le colocarás alrededor una moldura de oro.
4 and two gold rings under the crown on each side, so that the bars may be set in them and the altar may be carried.	4 Luego le harás unas argollas de oro, y las pondrás debajo de la moldura, dos de un lado y dos del otro, a fin de pasar por ellas las andas que servirán para transportarlo.
5 Also, you shall make its bars of setim wood, and you shall overlay them with gold.	5 Estas últimas las harás de madera de acacia y las recubrirás de oro.
6 And you shall set the altar opposite the veil, which hangs in front of the ark of the testimony, before the propitiatory with which the testimony is covered, where I will speak to you.	6 Después pondrás el altar delante del velo que oculta el Arca del Testimonio, frente a la tapa que está sobre el arca, allí donde yo me encontraré contigo.
7 And Aaron shall burn incense upon it, a sweet fragrance, in the morning. When he lights the lamps, he shall burn it.	7 Todas las mañanas, al preparar las lámparas, Aarón deberá quemar en él incienso aromático;
8 And when he assembles them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.	8 y a la hora del crepúsculo, cuando vuelva a arreglar las lámparas, lo hará nuevamente. Y ustedes presentarán constantemente delante del Señor esta ofrenda de incienso aromático, a través de las generaciones.
9 You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition, nor an oblation, nor a victim; neither shall you offer libations.	9 No ofrecerán sobre él incienso profano, no holocaustos, ni oblaciones, ni derramarán sobre él ninguna libación.
10 And Aaron shall pray over its horns once a year, with the blood of what was offered for sin. And he shall make atonement over it in your generations. It shall be the Holy of holies to the Lord.”	10 Una vez al año, Aarón realizará el rito de expiación sobre los cuernos del altar. Con la sangre del sacrificio ofrecido el día de la Expiación, hará el rito de expiación a lo largo de las generaciones. Este altar es una cosa santísima, consagrada al Señor.
11 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	11 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
12 “When you have taken the sum of the sons of Israel, according to their number, each shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there will be no scourge among them, when they will be reviewed.	12 Cuando hagas un censo de los israelitas, cada uno pagará al Señor el rescate de su vida, para que no recaiga sobre ellos ninguna calamidad con ocasión del empadronamiento.
13 Then all those who pass shall give by name: one half shekel, according to the measure at the temple. A shekel has twenty obols. The half part of a shekel shall be offered to the Lord.	13 La cantidad que pagarán todos los que sean sometidos al censo será medio siclo, según el peso de los siclos del Santuario; y este será un tributo reservado al Señor.
14 He who has been numbered from twenty years and above shall give the price.	14 Todos los que sean sometidos al censo, o sea, los que tengan más de veinte años, pagarán la ofrenda reservada al Señor.
15 The rich shall not add to the half shekel, and the poor shall diminish nothing.	15 El rico no dará más de medio siclo, ni el pobre menos, para cumplir con el impuesto debido al Señor en rescate de sus vidas.
16 And the money received, which was collected from the sons of Israel, you shall deliver for the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, so that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may act favorably toward their souls.”	16 Tú recibirás de los israelitas el dinero del rescate y lo destinarás para el servicio de la Carpa del Encuentro. Eso servirá de memorial delante del Señor, en favor de los israelitas, para el rescate de sus vidas.
17 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	17 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
18 “You shall also make a bronze washtub with its base to wash in; and you shall place it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And when water has been added,	18 Harás una fuente de bronce, con su base también de bronce, para las abluciones. La pondrás entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar, y la llenarás de agua,
19 Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:	19 para que en ella se laven los pies Aarón y sus Hijos.
20 when they enter the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they approach to the altar so as to offer incense to the Lord upon it,	20 Se lavarán cuando entren en la Carpa del Encuentro, para no morir. Y harán lo mismo antes de acercarse al altar a presentar la ofrenda que se quema para el Señor.
21 otherwise, they may die. This shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his offspring, throughout their successions.”	21 Se lavarán las manos y los pies, para no morir. Este es un decreto irrevocable para Aarón y sus descendientes, a través de las generaciones.
22 And the Lord spoke to Moses,	22 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
23 saying: “Take for yourself aromatics: of the first and best myrrh, five hundred shekels, and of cinnamon half as much, that is, two hundred and fifty shekels; of sweet flag similarly two hundred and fifty,	23 Consigue especies aromáticas de la mejor calidad: quinientos ciclos de mirra pura, la mitad –o sea, doscientos cincuenta siclos– de cinamomo, doscientos cincuenta siclos de caña aromática,
24 but of cassia, five hundred shekels by the weight of the sanctuary, and of the oil of olives the measure of a hin.	24 quinientos siclos de casia –todo esto en siclos del Santuario– y siete litros de aceite de oliva;
25 And you shall make the holy oil of unction, an ointment composed with the skills of a perfumer,	25 y prepara con ellos una mezcla aromática, como lo sabe hacer el fabricante de perfumes. Este será el óleo para la unción sagrada.
26 and with it you shall anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,	26 Con él deberás ungir la Carpa del Encuentro, el Arca del Testimonio,
27 and the table with its vessels, and the lampstand and it utensils, the altars of incense	27 la mesa con todos sus utensilios, el candelabro con sus accesorios, el altar de los perfumes,
28 and of holocaust, and all the items that pertain to their rituals.	28 el altar de los holocaustos con todos sus accesorios y la fuente con su base.
29 And you shall sanctify everything, and they shall be the Holy of holies. He who will touch them must be sanctified.	29 Así los consagrarás, y serán una cosa santísima. Todo aquello que los toque quedará consagrado.
30 You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and you shall sanctify them, so that they may exercise the priesthood for me.	30 También ungirás a Aarón y a sus hijos, y los consagrarás para que ejerzan mi sacerdocio.
31 Likewise, you shall say to the sons of Israel: ‘This oil of unction will be holy to me throughout your generations.	31 Luego hablarás a los israelitas en estos términos: Ustedes emplearán este óleo para la unción sagrada, a lo largo de sus generaciones.
32 The flesh of man shall not be anointed from it, and you shall not make any similar compound, for it has been sanctified and it shall be holy to you.	32 El no será derramado sobre el cuerpo de ningún hombre y no se hará ningún otro que tenga la misma composición. Es una cosa santa, y como tal deberán considerarlo.
33 Whatever man will have composed such a thing and have given it to a stranger, he shall be exterminated from his people.’ ”	33 El que prepare una mezcla semejante o derrame el óleo sobre un extraño, será excluido de su pueblo.
34 And the Lord said to Moses: “Take to yourself aromatics: stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet odor, and the clearest frankincense, all these shall be of equal weight.	34 El Señor dijo a Moisés: Consigue las siguientes sustancias aromáticas en cantidades iguales: resina, ámbar, gálbano perfumado e incienso puro,
35 And you shall make incense composed with the skills of a perfumer, diligently mixed, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.	35 mezcla todo eso, como lo hace un fabricante de perfumes, para hacer un perfume salado, puro y santo.
36 And when you have crushed all these into a very fine powder, you shall place some of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to you. The Holy of holies shall this incense be to you.	36 Reduce a polvo una parte de él y colócala delante del Arca del Testimonio, en la Carpa del Encuentro, o sea, en el lugar donde yo me encontraré contigo. Esto será para ustedes una cosa santísima,
37 You shall not make such a compound for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.	37 y para su uso personal no harán ningún otro que tenga la misma composición. Deberás considerarlo algo consagrado al Señor.
38 Whatever man will have made anything similar, so as to thoroughly enjoy its smell, he shall perish from his people.”	38 Cualquiera que prepare otro semejante para aspirar su fragancia, será excluido de su pueblo.
