2 Chronicles 27

1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for sixteen years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.	1 Jotam tenía veinticinco años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dieciséis años en Jerusalén. Su madre se llamaba Ierusá y era hija de Sadoc.
2 And he did what was right before the Lord, in accord with all that his father, Uzziah, had done, except that he did not enter into the temple of the Lord, and still the people were transgressing.	2 El hizo lo que es recto a los ojos del Señor, como había hecho su padre Ozías, pero no entró en el Templo del Señor. Mientras tanto, el pueblo seguía corrompiéndose.
3 He improved the high gate of the house of the Lord. And he built many things upon the wall of Ophel.	3 Fue él quien construyó la puerta superior de la Casa del Señor, e hizo muchas obras en el muro de Ofel.
4 Also, he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and fortresses and towers in the forests.	4 Construyó asimismo ciudades en la montaña de Judá, y edificó fortines y torres en los bosques.
5 He fought against the king of the sons of Ammon, and he defeated them. And at that time, the sons of Ammon gave to him one hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cor of wheat, and the same number of cor of barley. These things the sons of Ammon offered to him in the second and third year.	5 Combatió contra el rey de los amonitas y lo venció. Aquel año, los amonitas le entregaron cien talentos de plata, diez mil medidas de trigo y diez mil de cebada. Lo mismo le pagaron el segundo y el tercer año.
6 And Jotham was strengthened, because he had directed his way before the Lord his God.	6 Jotam se hizo poderoso, porque procedía rectamente ante el Señor, su Dios.
7 Now the rest of the words of Jotham, and all his battles and works, have been written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.	7 El resto de los hechos de Jotam, sus guerras y sus proezas, están escritas en el Libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá.

9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. And his son, Ahaz, reigned in his place.	9 Jotam se fue a descansar con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la Ciudad de David. Su hijo Ajaz reinó en lugar de él.
