1 Corinthians 6

1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?	1 Чи сміє хтось із вас, мавши справу до іншого, судитися перед неправедними, замість перед святими?
2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?	2 Хіба не знаєте, що святі будуть світ судити? А коли ви будете світ судити, то чи ж не достойні ви судити куди менші справи?
3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.	3 Хіба не знаєте, що ангелів будемо судити? Оскільки більше життєві справи!
4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!	4 Коли, отже, маєте суди про життєві справи, настановляєте (суддями) таких, що за ніщо вважаються у Церкві.
5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,	5 Кажу це вам на сором! Хіба нема між вами ні одного мудрого, що міг би розсуджувати між братами своїми?
6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 А то брат з братом судиться, а й перед невірними!
7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?	7 Вже це взагалі для вас пониження, що судитеся між собою. Чого б вам радше не стерпіти кривди? Чого б вам радніш не зазнавати здирства?
8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.	8 Ви ж, навпаки, самі кривдите та обдираєте, та ще й братів!
9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,	9 Чи ж не знаєте, що неправедні царства Божого не успадкують? Не обманюйте себе! Ані розпусники, ані ідолопоклонники, ані перелюбники, ані розгнуздані, ані мужоложники,
10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.	10 ані злодії, ані зажерливі, ані п’яниці, ані злоріки, ані грабіжники — царства Божого не успадкують.
11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.	11 І такими з вас деякі були; але ви обмились, але ви освятились, але ви оправдались іменем Господа Ісуса Христа та Духом нашого Бога.
12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.	12 «Все мені можна», та не все корисне. «Все мені можна», та я не дам нічому заволодіти надо мною.
13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;	13 «їжа для живота, і живіт для їжі!» Бог же одне і друге знищить. Тіло ж не для розпусти, але для Господа, і Господь для тіла.
14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.	14 Бог же і Господа був воскресив — та й нас воскресить своєю силою.
15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!	15 Хіба не знаєте, що тіла ваші — члени Христові? Узявши, отже, члени Христові, — зроблю їх членами блудниці? Хай так не буде!
16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.	16 Чи не знаєте, що той, хто пристає до блудниці, є з нею одним тілом? Бо «будуть, — каже, — двоє одним тілом.»
17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.	17 Хто ж пристає до Господа, є одним духом.
18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.	18 Утікайте від розпусти! Усякий гріх, що його чинить людина, єе поза її тілом; а хто чинить розпусту, грішить супроти власного тіла.
19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?	19 Хіба ж не знаєте, що ваше тіло — храм Святого Духа, який живе у вас? Його ви маєте від Бога, тож уже не належите до себе самих.
20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.	20 Ви бо куплені високою ціною! Тож прославляйте Бога у вашому тілі!
