1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine forth!	1 Boże, Mścicielu, Panie, Boże, Mścicielu, ukaż się!
2 Arise, judge of the world, give back the proud what they deserve!	2 Powstań Ty, który sądzisz ziemię, daj pysznym odpłatę!
3 How long are the wicked, Yahweh, how long are the wicked to triumph?	3 Jak długo występni, o Panie, jak długo będą się chełpić występni,
4 They bluster and boast, they flaunt themselves, all the evil-doers.	4 będą pleść i gadać bezczelnie, i chwalić się będą wszyscy złoczyńcy?
5 They crush your people, Yahweh, they oppress your heritage,	5 Lud Twój, o Panie, depczą i uciskają Twoje dziedzictwo,
6 they murder the widow and the stranger, bring the orphan to a violent death.	6 mordują wdowę i przychodnia i zabijają sieroty.
7 They say, 'Yahweh is not looking, the God of Jacob is taking no notice.'	7 A mówią: Pan nie widzi, nie dostrzega [tego] Bóg Jakuba.
8 Take notice yourselves, you coarsest of people! Fools, when wil you learn some sense?	8 Pomnijcie, głupcy w narodzie! Kiedy zmądrzejecie, bezrozumni?
9 Shal he who implanted the ear not hear, he who fashioned the eye not see?	9 Nie ma usłyszeć Ten, który ucho wszczepił, nie ma widzieć Ten, co utworzył oko,
10 Shal he who instructs nations not punish? Yahweh, the teacher of al people,	10 czy nie ma karać Ten, co strofuje ludy, Ten, który ludzi naucza mądrości?
11 knows human plans and how insipid they are.	11 Pan zna myśli ludzkie: że są one marnością.
12 How blessed are those you instruct, Yahweh, whom you teach by means of your law,	12 Szczęśliwy mąż, którego Ty wychowujesz, o Panie, i prawem Twoim pouczasz,
13 to give them respite in evil times, til a pit is dug for the wicked.	13 by dać mu odpocząć w dniach nieszczęśliwych, nim grób wykopią dla występnego.
14 Yahweh will not abandon his people, he wil not desert his heritage;	14 Pan bowiem nie odpycha swego ludu i nie porzuca swojego dziedzictwa;
15 for judgement will again become saving justice, and in its wake al upright hearts will fol ow.	15 lecz wyrok powróci do sprawiedliwości, za nią [pójdą] wszyscy, co są prawego serca.
16 Who rises up on my side against the wicked? Who stands firm on my side against al evil-doers?	16 Kto wystąpi w mojej obronie przeciw niegodziwcom? Kto mię zasłoni od złoczyńców?
17 If Yahweh did not come to my help, I should soon find myself dwel ing in the silence.	17 Gdyby Pan mi nie udzielił pomocy, wnet by moja dusza zamieszkała [w kraju] milczenia.
18 I need only say, 'I am slipping,' for your faithful love, Yahweh, to support me;	18 A kiedy myślę: Moja noga się chwieje, wtedy mnie wspiera Twoja łaska, Panie!
19 however great the anxiety of my heart, your consolations soothe me.	19 Gdy się w moim sercu mnożą niepokoje, Twoje pociechy mnie orzeźwiają.
20 Are you partner to a destructive court, that gives disorder the status of law?	20 Co z Tobą ma wspólnego nieprawy trybunał, który sprowadza nieszczęście wbrew Prawu?
21 They make an attack on the life of the upright, and condemn innocent blood.	21 Choć czyhają na życie sprawiedliwego, chociaż potępiają krew niewinną:
22 No! Yahweh is a stronghold to me, my God is my rock of refuge.	22 na pewno Pan będzie mi obroną, a Bóg mój skałą ucieczki.
23 He turns back their guilt on themselves, annihilates them for their wickedness, he annihilates them,Yahweh our God.	23 A tamtym za ich niegodziwość zapłaci; i zgubi ich własna złośliwość, nasz Pan Bóg ich zgubi.
