1 [For the choirmaster To 'the Doe of the Dawn' Psalm Of David] My God, my God, why have youforsaken me? The words of my groaning do nothing to save me.	1 Провідникові хору. На мелодію «У досвітня лань». Псалом. Давида.
2 My God, I cal by day but you do not answer, at night, but I find no respite.	2 Боже мій, Боже мій, чому мене покинув? Стоїш далеко від спасіння мого, від слів мого зойку.
3 Yet you, the Holy One, who make your home in the praises of Israel,	3 Боже мій, кличу я вдень, — не відповідаєш, а й уночі я теж не вгаваю.
4 in you our ancestors put their trust, they trusted and you set them free.	4 Таж ти — святий, возсідаєш на хвалах Ізраїлевих!
5 To you they cal ed for help and were delivered; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.	5 На тебе покладались батьки наші: звірялись, і ти врятував їх.
6 But I am a worm, less than human, scorn of mankind, contempt of the people;	6 Взивали тебе й спасались, на тебе покладались і ганьби не зазнавали.
7 al who see me jeer at me, they sneer and wag their heads,	7 А я — черв’як, не людина; сміховище людей, презирство народу.
8 'He trusted himself to Yahweh, let Yahweh set him free! Let him deliver him, as he took such delight inhim.'	8 Всі, хто на мене дивляться, глузують з мене, кривлять губи, кивають головою:
9 It was you who drew me from the womb and soothed me on my mother's breast.	9 «Поклавсь на Господа, нехай його рятує; нехай його спасає, коли він його любить
10 On you was I cast from my birth, from the womb I have belonged to you.	10 Ти мене вивів з материнського лона, ти дав мені безпеку при грудях матері моєї.
11 Do not hold aloof, for trouble is upon me, and no one to help me!	11 На тебе я був зданий від утроби, від материнського лона ти єси Бог мій.
12 Many bulls are encircling me, wild bul s of Bashan closing in on me.	12 Не віддаляйсь від мене, бо нещастя близько, бо допомогти нікому.
13 Lions ravening and roaring open their jaws at me.	13 Биків багато мене оточило, башанські сильні навколо мене стали.
14 My strength is trickling away, my bones are al disjointed, my heart has turned to wax, melting insideme.	14 Роззявили на мене свою пащу, неначе лев, що роздирає і рикає.
15 My mouth is dry as earthenware, my tongue sticks to my jaw. You lay me down in the dust of death.	15 Я став, немов вода розлита, всі кості мої повиходили з суставів. Неначе віск, зробилось моє серце, розтануло в мене в нутрі.
16 A pack of dogs surrounds me, a gang of villains closing in on me as if to hack off my hands and myfeet.	16 Мов черепок, висохла моя сила, язик мій прилип до горлянки, кладеш мене в порох смерти.
17 I can count every one of my bones, while they look on and gloat;	17 Бо пси мене обсіли, і лиходіїв зграя мене оточила. Пробили мені руки й ноги,
18 they divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.	18 всі мої кості я міг би полічити. Дивляться на мене і з радістю позирають.
19 Yahweh, do not hold aloof! My strength, come quickly to my help,	19 Одежу мою ділять між собою, і на хитон мій жеребок кидають.
20 rescue my soul from the sword, the one life I have from the grasp of the dog!	20 Та ти, о Господи, не віддаляйсь; о моя сило, притьмом прийди мені на допомогу.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth, my poor life from the wild bul s' horns!	21 Вирятуй від меча мою душу — із собачих лап мою єдину.
22 I shal proclaim your name to my brothers, praise you in ful assembly:	22 Спаси мене із левиної пащі — від рогів буйволових мою убогу.
23 'You who fear Yahweh, praise him! Al the race of Jacob, honour him! Revere him, all the race ofIsrael!'	23 Я сповіщу моїм братам про твоє ім’я, хвалитиму тебе серед громади:
24 For he has not despised nor disregarded the poverty of the poor, has not turned away his face, buthas listened to the cry for help.	24 «О ви, що боїтеся Господа, його хваліте; нащадки Якова, його шануйте, і бійтеся його, потомки Ізраїля!
25 Of you is my praise in the thronged assembly, I wil perform my vows before al who fear him.	25 Бо він не гидував, не гордував бідою бідака, і не ховав обличчя свого від нього; і коли той взивав до нього, — слухав.
26 The poor wil eat and be fil ed, those who seek Yahweh wil praise him, 'May your heart live for ever.'	26 Від тебе йде моя хвала в великім зборі, обітниці мої виконаю перед тими, що його бояться.
27 The whole wide world wil remember and return to Yahweh, al the families of nations bow downbefore him.	27 Нехай споживають покірні, нехай будуть ситі, хай хвалять Господа ті, що його шукають. Нехай серце ваше живе повіки!
28 For to Yahweh, ruler of the nations, belongs kingly power!	28 Усі кінці землі згадають і навернуться до Господа. І впадуть ниць перед тобою усі сім’ї народів;
29 Al who prosper on earth wil bow before him, al who go down to the dust wil do reverence beforehim. And those who are dead,	29 Господнє бо є царство, він над народами панує.
30 their descendants wil serve him, wil proclaim his name to generations	30 Йому одному поклоняться всі тії, що в землі спочивають; перед ним упадуть ниць усі тії, що сходять у могилу. І душа моя для нього житиме;
31 stil to come; and these will tel of his saving justice to a people yet unborn: he has fulfilled it.	31 моє потомство буде йому служити, і розповість про Господа прийдешньому родові;
	32 прийдуть, оповістять про його добрість народові, що має народитись: «Таке вчинив Господь!»
