Psalms 106

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, his faithful love is everlasting!	1 هللويا. احمدوا الرب لانه صالح لان الى الابد رحمته‎.
2 Who can recount al Yahweh's triumphs, who can ful y voice his praise?	2 ‎من يتكلم بجبروت الرب من يخبر بكل تسابيحه‎.
3 How blessed are those who keep to what is just, whose conduct is always upright!	3 ‎طوبى للحافظين الحق وللصانع البر في كل حين‎.
4 Remember me, Yahweh, in your love for your people. Come near to me with your saving power,	4 ‎اذكرني يا رب برضا شعبك. تعهدني بخلاصك‎.
5 let me share the happiness of your chosen ones, let me share the joy of your people, the pride ofyour heritage.	5 ‎لأرى خير مختاريك. لأفرح بفرح أمتك. لأفتخر مع ميراثك
6 Like our ancestors, we have sinned, we have acted wickedly, guiltily;	6 اخطأنا مع آبائنا اسأنا واذنبنا‎.
7 our ancestors in Egypt never grasped the meaning of your wonders. They did not bear in mind yourcountless acts of love, at the Sea of Reeds they defied the Most High;	7 ‎آباؤنا في مصر لم يفهموا عجائبك لم يذكروا كثرة مراحمك فتمردوا عند البحر عند بحر سوف‎.
8 but for the sake of his name he saved them, to make known his mighty power.	8 ‎فخلصهم من اجل اسمه ليعرف بجبروته
9 At his rebuke the Sea of Reeds dried up, he let them pass through the deep as though it were desert,	9 وانتهر بحر سوف فيبس وسيرهم في اللجج كالبرية‎.
10 so he saved them from their opponents' clutches, rescued them from the clutches of their enemies.	10 ‎وخلّصهم من يد المبغض وفداهم من يد العدو‎.
11 The waters enveloped their enemies, not one of whom was left.	11 ‎وغطت المياه مضايقيهم واحد منهم لم يبق
12 Then they believed what he had said, and sang his praises.	12 فآمنوا بكلامه. غنوا بتسبيحه‎.
13 But they soon forgot his achievements, they did not even wait for his plans;	13 ‎اسرعوا فنسوا اعماله. لم ينتظروا مشورته‎.
14 they were overwhelmed with greed in the wastelands, in the solitary wastes they challenged God.	14 ‎بل اشتهوا شهوة في البرية وجربوا الله في القفر‎.
15 He gave them al they asked for, but struck them with a deep wasting sickness;	15 ‎فاعطاهم سؤلهم وارسل هزالا في انفسهم‎.
16 in the camp they grew jealous of Moses, and of Aaron, Yahweh's holy one.	16 ‎وحسدوا موسى في المحلّة وهرون قدوس الرب‎.
17 The earth opened and swal owed up Dathan, closed in on Abiram's faction;	17 ‎فتحت الارض وابتلعت داثان وطبقت على جماعة ابيرام‎.
18 fire flamed out against their faction, the renegades were engulfed in flames.	18 ‎واشتعلت نار في جماعتهم. اللهيب احرق الاشرار
19 At Horeb they made a calf, bowed low before cast metal;	19 صنعوا عجلا في حوريب وسجدوا لتمثال مسبوك‎.
20 they exchanged their glory for the image of a grass-eating bull.	20 ‎وابدلوا مجدهم بمثال ثور آكل عشب‎.
21 They forgot the God who was saving them, who had done great deeds in Egypt,	21 ‎نسوا الله مخلصهم الصانع عظائم في مصر
22 such wonders in the land of Ham, such awesome deeds at the Sea of Reeds.	22 وعجائب في ارض حام ومخاوف على بحر سوف‎.
23 He thought of putting an end to them, had not Moses, his chosen one, taken a stand in the breachand confronted him, to turn his anger away from destroying them.	23 ‎فقال باهلاكهم لولا موسى مختاره وقف في الثغر قدامه ليصرف غضبه عن اتلافهم‎.
24 They counted a desirable land for nothing, they put no trust in his promise;	24 ‎ورذلوا الارض الشهية. لم يؤمنوا بكلمته‎.
25 they stayed in their tents and grumbled, they would not listen to Yahweh's voice.	25 ‎بل تمرمروا في خيامهم. لم يسمعوا لصوت الرب‎.
26 So he lifted his hand against them, to strike them down in the desert,	26 ‎فرفع يده عليهم ليسقطهم في البرية
27 to strike down their descendants among the nations, to scatter them al over the world.	27 وليسقط نسلهم بين الامم وليبددهم في الاراضي‎.
28 They committed themselves to serve Baal-Peor, and ate sacrifices made to lifeless gods.	28 ‎وتعلقوا ببعل فغور واكلوا ذبائح الموتى‎.
29 They so provoked him by their actions that a plague broke out among them.	29 ‎واغاظوه باعمالهم فاقتحمهم الوبأ‎.
30 Then up stood Phinehas to intervene, and the plague was checked;	30 ‎فوقف فينحاس ودان فامتنع الوبأ‎.
31 for this he is the example of uprightness, from age to age for ever.	31 ‎فحسب له ذلك برا الى دور فدور الى الابد
32 At the waters of Meribah they so angered Yahweh, that Moses suffered on their account,	32 واسخطوه على ماء مريبة حتى تأذى موسى بسببهم‎.
33 for they had embittered his spirit, and he spoke without due thought.	33 ‎لانهم امرّوا روحه حتى فرط بشفتيه‎.
34 They did not destroy the nations, as Yahweh had told them to do,	34 ‎لم يستأصلوا الامم الذين قال لهم الرب عنهم
35 but intermarried with them, and adopted their ways.	35 بل اختلطوا بالامم وتعلموا اعمالهم
36 They worshipped those nations' false gods, til they found themselves entrapped,	36 وعبدوا اصنامهم فصارت لهم شركا‎.
37 and sacrificed their own sons and their daughters to demons.	37 ‎وذبحوا بنيهم وبناتهم للاوثان
38 Innocent blood they shed, the blood of their sons and daughters; offering them to the idols ofCanaan, they pol uted the country with blood.	38 واهرقوا دما زكيا دم بنيهم وبناتهم الذين ذبحوهم لاصنام كنعان وتدنست الارض بالدماء
39 They defiled themselves by such actions, their behaviour was that of a harlot.	39 وتنجسوا باعمالهم وزنوا بافعالهم‎.
40 Yahweh's anger blazed out at his people, his own heritage fil ed him with disgust.	40 ‎فحمي غضب الرب على شعبه وكره ميراثه‎.
41 He handed them over to the nations, and their opponents became their masters;	41 ‎واسلمهم ليد الامم وتسلط عليهم مبغضوهم‎.
42 their enemies lorded it over them, crushing them under their rule.	42 ‎وضغطهم اعداؤهم فذلوا تحت يدهم
43 Time and again he rescued them, but they stil defied him deliberately, and sank ever deeper in theirguilt;	43 مرات كثيرة انقذهم. اما هم فعصوه بمشورتهم وانحطوا باثمهم
44 even so he took pity on their distress, as soon as he heard them cry out.	44 فنظر الى ضيقهم اذ سمع صراخهم‏
45 Bearing his covenant with them in mind, he relented in his boundless and faithful love;	45 وذكر لهم عهده وندم حسب كثرة رحمته‎.
46 he ensured that they received compassion, in their treatment by al their captors.	46 ‎واعطاهم نعمة قدام كل الذين سبوهم‎.
47 Save us, Yahweh our God, gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holyname, and may glory in praising you.	47 ‎خلّصنا ايها الرب الهنا واجمعنا من بين الامم لنحمد اسم قدسك ونتفاخر بتسبيحك‎.
48 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from all eternity and for ever! Let all the people say, 'Amen'.	48 ‎مبارك الرب اله اسرائيل من الازل والى الابد. ويقول كل الشعب آمين. هللويا
