1 David then addressed the whole assembly, 'Solomon my son, whom Yahweh has specifical y chosen,is young and immature, and the work is great; this palace is not for any human being but for Yahweh God.	1 E disse David re a tutto il popolo: Iddio hae eletto [Salomone], uno mio figliuolo ancora fanciullo e tenerello; ed è lavorìo grande, però che non s'apparecchia abitazione a uomo, anzi a Dio.
2 With al the resources I can command, for the house of my God I have provided gold for what must bemade of gold, silver for what must be made of silver, bronze for what must be made of bronze, iron for what mustbe made of iron, wood for what must be made of wood, as well as cornelian for inlay work, slabs of multi-coloured mosaic, every kind of precious stone and quantities of alabaster.	2 Io con tutte le mie forze hoe apparecchiato il fornimento per la casa del mio Iddio, (e dell' oro, e dell' ariento); l'oro per le vasa dell' oro, e l' ariento per le vasa dell' ariento, il metallo per quelle del metallo, e ferro per quelle del ferro, e legname per quelle del legname, e pietre onichine, e quasi istibini, di diversi colori, ogni pietra preziosa, e di marmo di Paro abbondantissimamente.
3 Furthermore, because my affections are set on the house of my God, I have also given what gold andsilver I personal y own for the house of my God, over and above everything which I have already provided for theholy Temple-	3 E sopra tutto questo ch' io ho offerto nella casa di Dio mio, io hoe anco donato di mio proprio oro e ariento per il templo del mio Iddio, fuori di quelle cose le quali io hoe apparecchiate per la santa casa,
4 that is to say, three thousand talents of gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver foroverlaying the walls of the buildings,	4 tre milia talenti d'oro di Ofir, e sette milia talenti d'ariento probatissimo, per dorare le mura del Signore.
5 the gold being for what must be made of gold, and the silver for what must be made of silver: and forwhatever the craftsmen must make. Who, then, is wil ing to devote himself to Yahweh's service today?'	5 E in qualunque cosa sarà bisogno d'oro, sia fatto d'oro; e dove d'ariento, sia d'ariento, a fare l'opere per mano degli artefici; e qualunque offera di sua propria volontà, empia oggi la sua mano, ? offerisca al Signore quello ch' egli vuole.
6 At this, the heads of families, the tribal chiefs of Israel, the commanders of the thousands and thehundreds and those who managed the king's affairs,	6 E promisero i principi delle famiglie, e' capi maggiori delle tribù d' Israel, e' tribuni e' centurioni e' principi delle possessioni del re.
7 volunteered a gift of five thousand talents and ten thousand darics of gold, ten thousand talents ofsilver, eighteen thousand talents of bronze and a hundred thousand talents of iron,	7 E diedero nell' opera della casa di Dio V milia talenti d'oro, e soldi diecimilia, e diecimilia talenti d'ariento, e XVIII milia talenti di metallo, e C milia talenti di ferro.
8 while those who owned precious stones presented them to the treasury of the house of Yahweh in thecustody of Jehiel the Gershonite.	8 E a qualunque si trovarono pietre, sì le diede nel tesoro della casa di Dio, per mano di Iaiel Gersonite.
9 The people rejoiced at what these had given so readily, since they had presented their freewilofferings wholeheartedly to Yahweh. King David too was fil ed with joy.	9 E rallegrossi il popolo, promettendo i voti di propria volontà; però che di cuore li offerivano al Signore; e il re David si rallegrò di grande allegrezza.
10 Hence, in the presence of the whole assembly David blessed Yahweh. David said: 'May you beblessed, Yahweh, God of Israel our ancestor, for ever and for ever!	10 E benedisse il Signore nel cospetto di tutta la moltitudine, e disse: Signore Iddio de' nostri padri, tu se' benedetto ab eterno e in eterno.
11 Yours, Yahweh, is the greatness, the power, the splendour, length of days and glory, everything inheaven and on earth is yours. Yours is the sovereignty, Yahweh; you are exalted, supreme over al .	11 Signore, tua è la magnificenza, e tua è la potenza, e tua è la gloria e la vittoria; e a te sia laude; in verità tutte le cose, le quali sono in cielo e in terra, sono tue; Signore, tuo è il regno, e tu se' sopra tutti i principi.
12 Wealth and riches come from you, you are ruler of all, in your hand lie strength and power, and youbestow greatness and might on whomsoever you please.	12 Tue sono le ricchezze, tua è la gloria; tu (Signore) reggi tutte le cose; nella mano tua è la virtù e la potenza; nella tua mano è la grandezza e lo imperio di tutte le cose.
13 So now, our God, we give thanks to you and praise your majestic name,	13 Ora, Iddio nostro, noi ci confessiamo a te, e laudamo il nome tuo inclito.
14 for who am I and what is my people, for us to be able to volunteer offerings like this? - sinceeverything has come from you and we have given you only what you bestowed in the first place,	14 Chi sono io, e chi è il popolo mio, che possiamo promettere a te tutte queste cose? tue sono tutte le cose; e quelle cose che noi abbiamo avuto da te, t' abbiamo date.
15 and we are guests before you, and passing visitors as were al our ancestors, our days on earthfleeting as a shadow and without hope.	15 Certo noi siamo nel tuo cospetto peregrini e forestieri, siccome tutti gli nostri padri. I nostri dì sono come ombra sopra la terra, e non è niuna dimoranza.
16 Yahweh our God, all this wealth, which we have provided to build a house for your holy name, hascome from you and all belongs to you.	16 Signore nostro Iddio, tutta questa abbondanza, la quale noi abbiamo apparecchiata per edificare la casa al tuo santo nome, ella è della tuá mano, e tue sono tutte le cose.
17 'Knowing, my God, how you examine our motives and how you delight in integrity, with integrity ofmotive I have wil ingly given all this and have been overjoyed to see your people, now present here, wil inglyoffering their gifts to you.	17 Io so, Signore mio, che tu provi (tutti) i cuori, e che tu ami la semplicità; e però io nella semplicità del mio cuore, lieto hoe offerte tutte le cose; e hoe veduto tutto questo popolo, il quale trovato s'è quiritta, con grande allegrezza offerire a te doni.
18 Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel our ancestors, watch over this for ever, shape thepurpose of your people's heart and direct their hearts to you,	18 Signore Iddio di Abraam, di Isaac e d' Israel nostri padri, conserva questa volontà nel cuore loro in eterno, e sempre permanga questa mente in tua venerazione.
19 and give an undivided heart to Solomon my son to keep your commandments, your decrees andyour statutes, to put them all into effect and to build the palace for which I have made provision.'	19 E dà a Salomone, mio figliuolo, perfetto cuore, acciò che osservi gli tuoi comandamenti e testimonii e cerimonie; e faccia tutte queste cose, e la casa per la quale io hoe apparecchiato il fornimento.
20 David then addressed the whole assembly: 'Now bless Yahweh your God!' And the whole assemblyblessed Yahweh, God of their ancestors, bowing down in homage to Yahweh, and to the king.	20 E comandò David a tutto il popolo, (e disse): benedicete il nostro Signore Iddio. E tutto il popolo benedisse Iddio de' padri loro; e inchinaronsi, e adorarono Iddio. e poscia il re.
21 On the day fol owing this, they slaughtered sacrifices and brought burnt offerings to Yahweh onbehalf of Israel -- a thousand bul s, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs with their libations, as wel as manyother sacrifices-	21 E sacrificarono vittime a Dio; e offerirono olocausti il dì seguente, mille tori e mille agnelli e mille montoni, co' suoi libamenti, e con tutto il suo ordine in Israel, e abbondantissimamente.
22 and they ate and drank that day in Yahweh's presence with great joy. They then made Solomon sonof David king a second time, anointing him as leader for Yahweh, and Zadok as priest.	22 E mangiarono e beverono nel cospetto del Signore, in quel dì, con grande letizia. E unsero la seconda volta Salomone figliuolo di David. E unserlo al Signore in principe, e Sadoc [in] pontefice.
23 Solomon took his seat on Yahweh's throne, to reign in succession to David his father. He prospered,and all Israel obeyed him.	23 E sedette Salomone nella sedia del Signore in re per David suo padre, e a tutti piacque; e tutto Israel obbedìo a lui.
24 Al the chiefs, al the leading citizens and al King David's other sons pledged allegiance to KingSolomon.	24 E anche tutti i prìncipi e potenti, e tutti i figliuoli del re David gli diedero la mano, e furono soggetti al re Salomone.
25 Yahweh made Solomon exceedingly powerful, as all Israel could see, and gave him a reign of suchsplendour as no previous king of Israel ever had.	25 E Dio magnificò Salomone sopra tutto Israel, e diede a lui gloria del regno, quale niuno re d'Israel ebbe dinanzi a lui.
26 David son of Jesse was king of al Israel.	26 Or David figliuolo d' Isai regnò sopra tutto Israel.
27 He was king of Israel for a period of forty years; he reigned at Hebron for seven years, and inJerusalem for thirty-three.	27 E i dì, che regnò sopra tutto Israel, furono XL anni; in Ebron regnoe sette anni, e in Ierusalem regnoe XXXIII anni.
28 He died at a good old age, ful of days, riches and honour. Then his son Solomon succeeded him.	28 E morìo David in buona vecchiezza, pieno di dì e di ricchezze e di gloria; e regnò Salomone suo figliuolo per lui (dopo la sua morte).
29 The history of King David, from first to last, is al written down in the records of Samuel the seer, therecords of Nathan the prophet and the records of Gad the seer,	29 E i fatti di David primi e gli ultimi sì sono scritti nel libro di Samuel vidente, e di Natan profeta, e nel libro di Gad vidente;
30 with his entire reign, his mighty deeds and the times which he, Israel and al the kings of othercountries, had experienced.	30 e di tutto il suo regno, e della fortezza, e de' tempi i quali passarono sotto lui, ovvero in Israel, ovvero in tutti i regni delle terre.
