Ezekiel 13

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 E disse Iddio a me:
2 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, prophesy! Say to those who prophesy their own thought: Hear the word of the LORD:	2 O figliuolo d'uomo, indovina tu a' profeti d' Israel, i quali profetano, e dirai a quelli che profetano dal loro cuore: udite la parola di Dio.
3 Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to those prophets who are fools, who follow their own spirit and have seen no vision.	3 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai a' profeti sanza senno, i quali sèguitano il loro spirito, e non veggiono nulla.
4 Like foxes among ruins are your prophets, O Israel!	4 Quasi come volpi ne' deserti, così erano li tuoi profeti, o Israel.
5 You did not step into the breach, nor did you build a wall about the house of Israel that would stand firm against attack on the day of the LORD.	5 Voi non saliste dalla parte contraria, e non contraponeste lo muro per la casa d'Israel, acciò che voi isteste nella battaglia nel dì del Signore.
6 Their visions are false and their divination lying. They say, "Thus says the LORD!" though the LORD did not send them; then they wait for him to fulfill their word!	6 Loro veggiono le cose vane, e indovinano la bugia, dicendo: questo dice Iddio, conciosia cosa che Iddio non li abbia mandati; e perseveronno di confermare la parola.
7 Was not the vision you saw false, and your divination lying?	7 Or non vedeste voi visione vana, e avete parlato indovinazione bugiarda? e diceste: questo dice lo Signore Iddio, conciosia cosa ch' io non abbia parlato.
8 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have spoken falsehood and have seen lying visions, therefore see! I am coming at you, says the Lord GOD.	8 Però [dice lo Signore Iddio: però] che avete parlato cose vane, e vedeste la bugia, ecco, io dico a voi, dice lo Signore Iddio.
9 But I will stretch out my hand against the prophets who have false visions and who foretell lies. They shall not belong to the community of my people, nor be recorded in the register of the house of Israel, nor enter the land of Israel; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	9 E la mia mano sarà sopra li profeti, i quali vedono cose vane, e indovinano cose bugiarde; non saranno nel consiglio del popolo mio, e non si scriveranno nella scrittura della casa d'Israel, e non entreranno nella terra d' Israel; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
10 For the very reason that they led my people astray, saying, "Peace!" when there was no peace, and that, as one built a wall, they would cover it with whitewash,	10 Però che hanno ingannato lo popolo, mio, dicendo: pace, pace e non era pace; e lo popolo edificava lo parete, e loro si lo coprivano di loto sanza paglia.
11 say then to the whitewashers: I will bring down a flooding rain; hailstones shall fall, and a stormwind shall break out.	11 Di' a quelli che cuoprono sanza temperanza, che quello che fanno sì deve cadere; però che verrà lo vento acquario bagnante, e farò venire di sopra pietre molto grandi, e vento di tempesta, disfacendo ogni cosa.
12 And when the wall has fallen, will you not be asked: Where is the whitewash you spread on?	12 Ecco che cadde lo parete; non sarà detto a voi: dove è lo coprimento (e lo edificio) che voi avete fatto?
13 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: In my fury I will let loose stormwinds; because of my anger there shall be a flooding rain, and hailstones shall fall with destructive wrath.	13 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio; e faroe uscire fuori lo spirito della tempesta nella mia indignazione, e sarà vento acquario bagnante (oltre misura) nel mio furore, e pietre molto grandi nell'ira in consumazione.
14 I will tear down the wall that you have whitewashed and level it to the ground, laying bare its foundations. When it falls, you shall be crushed beneath it; thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	14 E disfarò lo parete che voi faceste sanza coprimento e sanza temperamento, e farollo eguale con la terra; e vedrassi il suo fondamento, e cadrà, e consumerassi nel mezzo di lei; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore.
15 When I have spent my fury on the wall and its whitewashers, I tell you there shall be no wall, nor shall there be whitewashers--	15 E compirò la mia indignazione nello parete, e in quelli che lo cuoprono sanza temperamento, e dirò loro: non è parete, e non è chi lo cuopra.
16 those prophets of Israel who prophesied to Jerusalem and saw for it visions of peace when there was no peace, says the Lord GOD.	16 Li profeti d' Israel, i quali profetano a Ierusalem, e veggono a lei visione di pace; e non è pace, dice lo Signore Iddio.
17 Now, son of man, turn toward the daughters of your people who prophesy their own thoughts; against these, prophesy: Thus says the Lord GOD:	17 O figliuolo d' uomo, poni la tua faccia contro alle figliuole del popolo tuo, le quali profetano dal loro cuore, e indovina sopra quelle.
18 Woe to those who sew bands for everyone's wrists and make veils for every size of head so as to entrap their owners. Do you think to entrap the lives of my people, yet keep yourselves alive?	18 E di questo dice lo Signore Iddio: guai a quelle che conciano li pimacciuoli sotto ogui gomito della sua mano, e fanno capezzali (o guanciali) sotto lo capo della universa etade a pigliare l'anime, acciò che pigliassono l'anime del popolo mio; e dicevano che le loro anime viverebbono molto tempo.
19 You dishonor me before my people with handfuls of barley and crumbs of bread, killing those who should not die and keeping alive those who should not live, lying to my people who willingly hear lies.	19 E corrompevano me nel mio popolo per uno poco d'orzo o per uno poco di pane, acciò che loro uccidessono l'anime le quali non muoiono, e diceano che l'anime viverebbono le quali non vivono, e mentivano al popolo che credeva le bugie.
20 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at those bands of yours in which you entrap men's lives: I will tear them from their arms and set free those you have caught.	20 Però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io veggio a' vostri pimacciuoli, colli quali voi pigliate le anime volanti, e romperolli delle vostre braccia; e lascerò le anime, che voi pigliate, a volare.
21 I will tear off your veils and rescue my people from your power, so that they shall no longer be prey to your hands. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	21 E straccerò li vostri capezzali, e libererò lo mio popolo della vostra mano, e non saranno più nelle vostre mani a rubarli; e saprete ch' io sono Iddio.
22 Because you have disheartened the upright man with lies when I did not wish him grieved, and have encouraged the wicked man not to turn from his evil conduct and save his life;	22 Però che faceste dolere il cuore del giusto con le vostre falsitadi, lo quale io non contristai; e confortaste le mani del malvagio, acciò che lui non tornasse dalla sua mala via, e vivesse;
23 therefore you shall no longer see false visions and practice divination, but I will rescue my people from your power. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.	23 e però voi non vedrete cose vane, e non indovinerete più, e libererò lo mio popolo della vostra mano; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore.
