1 Oracle of the Valley of Vision: What is the matter with you now, that you have gone up, all of you, to the housetops,	1 Oráculo contra el valle de la Visión. ¿Qué tienes ahora, que has subido en pleno a las azoteas,

3 All your leaders fled away together, fled afar off; All who were in you were captured together, captured without the use of a bow.	3 Todos sus jefes huyeron a una: del arco escapaban. Todos tus valientes fueron apresados a una: lejos huían.

11 you made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. 13 But look! you feast and celebrate, you slaughter oxen and butcher sheep, You eat meat and drink wine: "Eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!"	13 mas lo que hubo fue jolgorio y alegría, matanza de bueyes y degüello de ovejas, comer carne y beber vino: «¡Comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos!»
14 This reaches the ears of the LORD of hosts-- You shall not be pardoned this wickedness till you die, says the Lord, the GOD of hosts.	14 Entonces me reveló al oído Yahveh Sebaot: «No será expiada esa culpa hasta que muráis» - ha dicho el Señor Yahveh Sebaot -.
15 Thus says the Lord, the GOD of hosts: Up, go to that official, Shebna, master of the palace,	15 Así dice el Señor Yahveh Sebaot: Preséntate al mayordomo, a Sebná, encargado del palacio,
16 Who has hewn for himself a sepulcher on a height and carved his tomb in the rock: "What are you doing here, and what people have you here, that here you have hewn for yourself a tomb?"	16 el que labra en alto su tumba, el que se talla en la peña una morada: «¿Qué es tuyo aquí y a quién tienes aquí, que te has labrado aquí una tumba?»
17 The LORD shall hurl you down headlong, mortal man! He shall grip you firmly	17 He aquí que Yahveh te hace rebotar, hombre, y te vuelve a agarrar.
18 And roll you up and toss you like a ball into an open land To perish there, you and the chariots you glory in, you disgrace to your master's house!	18 Te enrolla en ovillo, como una pelota en tierra de amplios espacios. Allí morirás, y allí irán tus carrozas gloriosas, vergüenza del palacio de tu señor.
19 I will thrust you from your office and pull you down from your station.	19 Te empujaré de tu peana y de tu pedestal te apearé.
20 On that day I will summon my servant Eliakim, son of Hilkiah;	20 Aquel día llamaré a mi siervo Elyaquim, hijo de Jilquías.
21 I will clothe him with your robe, and gird him with your sash, and give over to him your authority. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.	21 Le revestiré de tu túnica, con tu fajín le sujetaré, tu autoridad pondré en su mano, y será él un padre para los habitantes de Jerusalén y para la casa de Judá.
22 I will place the key of the House of David on his shoulder; when he opens, no one shall shut, when he shuts, no one shall open.	22 Pondré la llave de la casa de David sobre su hombro; abrirá, y nadie cerrará, cerrará, y nadie abrirá.
23 I will fix him like a peg in a sure spot, to be a place of honor for his family;	23 Le hincaré como clavija en lugar seguro, y será trono de gloria para la casa de su padre.
24 On him shall hang all the glory of his family: descendants and offspring, all the little dishes, from bowls to jugs.	24 Colgarán allí todo lo de valor de la casa de su padre - sus descendientes y su posteridad -, todo el ajuar menudo, todas las tazas y cántaros.
25 On that day, says the LORD of hosts, the peg fixed in a sure spot shall give way, break off and fall, and the weight that hung on it shall be done away with; for the LORD has spoken.	25 Aquel día - oráculo de Yahveh Sebaot - se removerá la clavija hincada en sitio seguro, cederá y caerá, y se hará añicos el peso que sostenía, porque Yahveh ha hablado.
