1 For the leader. A psalm of David.	1 Провідникові хору. Псалом. Давида.
2 LORD, the king finds joy in your power; in your victory how greatly he rejoices!	2 О Господи, в силі твоїй цар радіє і в твоїй допомозі веселиться вельми!
3 You have granted him his heart's desire; you did not refuse the prayer of his lips. Selah	3 Бажання серця його ти йому вволив і проханню уст його ти не відмовив.
4 For you welcomed him with goodly blessings; you placed on his head a crown of pure gold.	4 Бо ти йдеш йому назустріч благословенням щедрим, кладеш йому на голову вінець щирозлотний.
5 He asked life of you; you gave it to him, length of days forever.	5 Життя просив він у тебе: ти йому дав його, довготу днів на віки вічні.
6 Great is his glory in your victory; majesty and splendor you confer upon him.	6 Завдяки твоїй допомозі — велика його слава; величність і красу поклав єси на нього.
7 You make him the pattern of blessings forever, you gladden him with the joy of your presence.	7 Бо ти даєш йому благословення вічне і звеселяєш його радістю обличчя твого.
8 For the king trusts in the LORD, stands firm through the love of the Most High.	8 Бо цар надіється на Господа і завдяки милості Всевишнього не похитнеться
9 Your hand will reach all your enemies; your right hand will reach your foes!	9 Твоя рука досягне всіх твоїх противників; правиця твоя влучить усіх, хто тебе ненавидить.
10 At the time of your coming you will drive them into a furnace. Then the LORD'S anger will consume them, devour them with fire.	10 Ти вчиниш їх, неначе піч вогненну в час твого з’явлення, Господь вогнем проглине їх у своїм гніві.
11 Even their descendants you will wipe out from the earth, their offspring from the human race.	11 Потомство їхнє ти із землі вигубиш і їхніх нащадків — з-поміж дітей людських.
12 Though they intend evil against you, devising plots, they will not succeed,	12 Коли задумають на тебе лихо, лукаву врадять раду, — не здолають.
13 For you will put them to flight; you will aim at them with your bow.	13 Бо ти обернеш їх до втечі, напнеш їм у вічі лука твого.
14 Arise, LORD, in your power! We will sing and chant the praise of your might.	14 О, вознесися, Господи, у твоїй силі! І ми будемо співати й славити твою могутність.
