2 He built the hall called the Forest of Lebanon one hundred cubits long, fifty wide, and thirty high; it was supported by four rows of cedar columns, with cedar capitals upon the columns.	2 Costruì il palazzo della Foresta del Libano, lungo cento cubiti, largo cinquanta e alto trenta, a tre serie di colonne di cedro con capitelli di cedro sulle colonne.

8 His living quarters were in another court, set in deeper than the tribunal and of the same construction. 14 He was a bronze worker, the son of a widow from the tribe of Naphtali; his father had been from Tyre. He was endowed with skill, understanding, and knowledge of how to produce any work in bronze. He came to King Solomon and did all his metal work.	14 Questi era figlio di una vedova della tribù di Neftali, però suo padre era di Tiro e lavorava il bronzo. Egli era dotato di abilità, di intelligenza e di perizia nell'eseguire qualsiasi lavoro in bronzo. Venuto presso il re Salomone, eseguì tutti i suoi lavori.
15 Two hollow bronze columns were cast, each eighteen cubits high and twelve cubits in circumference; their metal was of four fingers' thickness.	15 Fuse le due colonne di bronzo; l'altezza di una colonna era di diciotto cubiti, mentre una corda di dodici cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza; lo spessore del bronzo era di quattro dita mentre dentro era vuota; così era pure la seconda colonna.
16 There were also two capitals cast in bronze, to place on top of the columns, each of them five cubits high.	16 Fece anche due capitelli di bronzo fuso da porre in cima alle colonne, alti entrambi cinque cubiti.
17 Two pieces of network with a chainlike mesh were made to cover the (nodes of the) capitals on top of the columns, one for each capital.	17 Fece poi due reti per rivestirne i capitelli che si trovavano in cima alle colonne, una rete per ciascun capitello.
18 Four hundred pomegranates were also cast; two hundred of them in a double row encircled the piece of network on each of the two capitals.	18 Fece anche intorno alla rete due file di melagrane per coprire il capitello che si trovava sopra le colonne; così fece pure per il secondo capitello.
19 The capitals on top of the columns were finished wholly in a lotus pattern	19 Sui capitelli che si trovavano in cima alle colonne v'era un manufatto in forma di loto; tutto questo nel complesso era alto quattro cubiti.
20 above the level of the nodes and their enveloping network.	20 E v'erano capitelli sulle due colonne anche al di sopra, accanto alla sporgenza, che era al di là della rete. E le melagrane erano duecento, disposte in serie all'intorno, sopra il secondo capitello.
21 The columns were then erected adjacent to the porch of the temple, one to the right, called Jachin, and the other to the left, called Boaz.	21 Innalzò le colonne davanti al vestibolo del tempio; innalzò la colonna di destra cui diede il nome Iachin e innalzò quella di sinistra che chiamò Boaz.
22 Thus the work on the columns was completed.	22 In cima alle colonne v'era un manufatto in forma di loto; così terminò il lavoro delle colonne.
23 The sea was then cast; it was made with a circular rim, and measured ten cubits across, five in height, and thirty in circumference.	23 Fece poi il mare in metallo fuso; da un orlo all'altro misurava dieci cubiti; tutt'intorno era circolare; la sua altezza era di cinque cubiti, mentre una cordicella di trenta cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza.
24 Under the brim, gourds encircled it, ten to the cubit all the way around; the gourds were in two rows and were cast in one mold with the sea.	24 Sotto l'orlo v'era un ornato di rosoni, dieci ogni cubito, che formavano un giro intorno al mare; i rosoni erano in due ordini, fusi insieme al mare.
25 This rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, and three facing east, with their haunches all toward the center, where the sea was set upon them.	25 Questo aveva lo spessore di un palmo e l'orlo come quello di una coppa, a fior di loto. Conteneva duemila bat.
26 It was a handbreadth thick, and its brim resembled that of a cup, being lily-shaped. Its capacity was two thousand measures.	26 Poggiava su dodici buoi di cui tre guardavano a settentrione, tre ad occidente, tre a mezzogiorno e tre ad oriente. Il mare poggiava su di essi e le loro parti posteriori erano rivolte all'interno.
27 Ten stands were also made of bronze, each four cubits long, four wide, and three high.	27 Fece pure dieci basi di bronzo, lunghe quattro cubiti ognuna, larghe altrettanto e alte tre cubiti.
28 When these stands were constructed, panels were set within the framework.	28 Questa era la loro forma: avevano dei telai e dei pannelli fra i telai.
29 On the panels between the frames there were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and on the frames likewise, above and below the lions and oxen, there were wreaths in relief.	29 Sui pannelli posti tra i telai erano scolpiti leoni, buoi e cherubini, e così pure sui telai; sopra e sotto i leoni e i buoi v'erano motivi a spirale.
30 Each stand had four bronze wheels and bronze axles.	30 Ogni base aveva quattro ruote di bronzo, con gli assi anch'essi di bronzo. I suoi quattro piedi avevano delle spallette sotto il bacino e le spallette erano state fuse nella parte interna con ogni motivo a spirale.
31 This was surmounted by a crown one cubit high within which was a rounded opening to provide a receptacle a cubit and a half in depth. There was carved work at the opening, on panels that were angular, not curved.	31 La sua apertura, all'interno della corona e sopra, era alta un cubito e mezzo, di forma rotonda, fatta come la conca e fornita di sculture; invece i suoi pannelli erano quadrati anziché rotondi.
32 The four wheels were below the paneling, and the axletrees of the wheels and the stand were of one piece. Each wheel was a cubit and a half high.	32 Sotto i pannelli c'erano le quattro ruote con i loro assi uniti alla base; l'altezza di ogni ruota era di un cubito e mezzo.
33 The wheels were constructed like chariot wheels; their axles, fellies, spokes, and hubs were all cast. The four legs of each stand had cast braces, which were under the basin; they had wreaths on each side.	33 La forma era come quella delle ruote di un carro; gli assi, i quarti, i raggi e i mozzi erano tutti d'un pezzo.
34 These four braces, extending to the corners of each stand, were of one piece with the stand.	34 Ai quattro angoli di ogni base v'erano quattro spallette che formavano un solo pezzo con la base.
35 On top of the stand there was a raised collar half a cubit high, with supports and panels which were of one piece with the top of the stand.	35 In cima alla base v'era un supporto alto mezzo cubito, tutt'intorno rotondo; in cima alla base c'erano i suoi manichi e le sue spallette formavano un solo pezzo con essa.
36 On the surfaces of the supports and on the panels, wherever there was a clear space, cherubim, lions, and palm trees were carved, as well as wreaths all around.	36 Scolpì sulle tavole cherubini, leoni e palme secondo lo spazio di ciascuna e, in più, motivi a spirale all'intorno.
37 This was how the ten stands were made, all of the same casting, the same size, the same shape.	37 In questo modo egli fece le dieci basi, con un'unica fusione, un'unica misura e un'unica forma per tutte.
38 Ten bronze basins were then made, each four cubits in diameter with a capacity of forty measures, one basin for the top of each of the ten stands.	38 Fece poi le dieci conche di bronzo, ognuna delle quali conteneva quaranta bat, misurava quattro cubiti e poggiava su una delle dieci basi.
39 The stands were placed, five on the south side of the temple and five on the north. The sea was placed off to the southeast from the south side of the temple.	39 Collocò le basi, cinque al lato destro del tempio e cinque a quello sinistro; invece il mare lo pose al lato destro del tempio, rivolto verso sud-est.
40 When Hiram made the pots, shovels, and bowls, he therewith completed all his work for King Solomon in the temple of the LORD:	40 Chiram fece anche i vasi per la cenere, le palette e le coppe. Così terminò ogni lavoro di cui il re Salomone lo aveva incaricato per il tempio del Signore:
41 two columns, two nodes for the capitals on top of the columns, two pieces of network covering the nodes for the capitals on top of the columns,	41 due colonne; le volute dei capitelli che stavano in cima alle due colonne; le due reti per coprire le due volute che stavano in cima alle colonne;
42 four hundred pomegranates in double rows on both pieces of network that covered the two nodes of the capitals where they met the columns,	42 le quattrocento melagrane per le due reti; i due ordini di melagrane per ciascuna rete destinati a coprire i due capitelli sferici in cima alle colonne;
43 ten stands, ten basins on the stands,	43 le dieci basi e le dieci conche per le basi;
44 one sea, twelve oxen supporting the sea,	44 il mare unico e i dodici buoi che lo sostenevano;
45 pots, shovels, and bowls. All these articles which Hiram made for King Solomon in the temple of the LORD were of burnished bronze.	45 i vasi per la cenere, le palette e le coppe. Tutte queste suppellettili, che Chiram aveva fatto al re Salomone per il tempio del Signore, erano di bronzo levigato.
46 The king had them cast in the neighborhood of the Jordan, in the clayey ground between Succoth and Zarethan.	46 Egli le fuse in modelli di argilla nella regione del Giordano tra Succot e Zartan.
47 Solomon did not weigh all the articles because they were so numerous; the weight of the bronze, therefore, was not determined.	47 Salomone sistemò tutte queste suppellettili; a causa della loro grandissima quantità non si calcolò il peso del bronzo.
48 Solomon had all the articles made for the interior of the temple of the LORD: the golden altar; the golden table on which the showbread lay;	48 Salomone fece preparare tutte le suppellettili che erano nel tempio del Signore: l'altare d'oro, la mensa d'oro su cui si ponevano i pani della presentazione;
49 the lampstands of pure gold, five to the right and five to the left before the sanctuary, with their flowers, lamps, and tongs of gold;	49 i candelabri in oro fino, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra davanti alla cella; inoltre i fiori, le lampade e gli smoccolatoi d'oro;
50 basins, snuffers, bowls, cups, and fire pans of pure gold; and hinges of gold for the doors of the inner room, or holy of holies, and for the doors of the outer room, the nave.	50 le patere, i coltelli, i vassoi, i mortai e gli incensieri d'oro fino. Anche i cardini per i battenti dell'aula erano d'oro.
51 When all the work undertaken by King Solomon in the temple of the LORD was completed, he brought in the dedicated offerings of his father David, putting the silver, gold, and other articles in the treasuries of the temple of the LORD.	51 Terminati tutti i lavori che aveva fatto fare per il tempio del Signore, Salomone portò i sacri donativi di suo padre Davide, cioè l'argento, l'oro e i vasi, deponendoli fra i tesori del tempio del Signore.
