Deuteronomy 33

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.	1 Voici la bénédiction que Moïse, homme de Dieu, prononça sur les Israélites avant de mourir.
2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.	2 Il dit: Yahvé est venu du Sinaï. Pour eux, depuis Séïr, il s'est levé à l'horizon, il a resplendidepuis le mont Parân. Pour eux, il est venu depuis les rassemblements de Cadès, depuis son midi jusqu'auxPentes.
3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.	3 Toi qui aimes les ancêtres, tous les saints sont dans ta main. Ils étaient prostrés à tes pieds, etils ont couru sous ta conduite.
4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.	4 (Moïse nous a prescrit une loi.) L'assemblée de Jacob entre dans son héritage;
5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.	5 il y eut un roi en Yeshurûn, quand se rassemblèrent les chefs du peuple, quand se réunirentles tribus d'Israël.
6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.	6 Que vive Ruben et qu'il ne meure pas, et que vive le petit nombre de ses hommes.
7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.	7 Voici ce qu'il dit sur Juda: Ecoute, Yahvé, la voix de Juda et ramène-le vers son peuple. Queses mains défendent son droit, viens-lui en aide contre ses ennemis.
8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;	8 Il dit sur Lévi: Donne à Lévi tes Urim et tes Tummim à l'homme à qui tu fis grâce, aprèsl'avoir mis à l'épreuve à Massa, s'en être pris à lui aux eaux de Meriba.
9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.	9 Il dit de son père et de sa mère: "Je ne l'ai pas vu." Ses frères, il ne les connaît plus, ses fils, illes ignore. Oui, ils ont gardé ta parole et ils retiennent ton alliance.
10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.	10 Ils enseignent tes coutumes à Jacob et ta Loi à Israël. Ils font monter l'encens à tes narineset mettent l'holocauste sur ton autel.
11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.	11 Bénis, Yahvé, sa valeur et agrée l'oeuvre de ses mains. Brise les reins de ses adversaires etde ceux qui le haïssent pour qu'ils ne tiennent pas!
12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.	12 Il dit sur Benjamin: Bien-aimé de Yahvé, il repose en sécurité près de lui. Le Très-Haut leprotège tous les jours et demeure entre ses coteaux.
13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,	13 Il dit sur Joseph: Son pays est béni de Yahvé. A lui le meilleur de la rosée des cieux et del'abîme souterrain,
14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,	14 le meilleur de ce que fait croître le soleil, de ce qui pousse à chaque lunaison,
15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,	15 les prémices des montagnes antiques, le meilleur des collines d'autrefois,
16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.	16 le meilleur de la terre et de ce qu'elle produit, la faveur de celui qui habite le Buisson. Quela chevelure abonde sur la tête de Joseph, sur le crâne du consacré parmi ses frères!
17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.	17 Premier-né du taureau, à lui la gloire. Ses cornes sont cornes de buffle dont il frappe lespeuples jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre. Telles sont les myriades d'Ephraïm, tels sont les milliers de Manassé.
18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.	18 Il dit sur Zabulon: Sois heureux, Zabulon, en tes expéditions. Et toi, Issachar, dans testentes!
19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.	19 Sur la montagne où les peuples viennent invoquer ils offrent des sacrifices de succès, car ilsaspirent à eux l'abondance des mers et les trésors cachés dans les sables.
20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.	20 Il dit sur Gad: Béni soit celui qui met Gad au large! Il repose comme une lionne; il adéchiré bras, visage et tête.
21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.	21 Puis il s'est attribué les prémices, là, il a vu qu'une part de chef lui était réservée. Il est venucomme chef du peuple, ayant accompli la justice de Yahvé et ses sentences sur Israël.
22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.	22 Il dit sur Dan: Dan est un jeune lion qui s'élance du Bashân.
23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.	23 Il dit sur Nephtali: Nephtali, rassasié de faveurs, comblé des bénédictions de Yahvé: Ilprend possession de l'ouest et du midi.
24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.	24 Il dit sur Asher: Béni soit Asher entre tous les fils! Qu'il soit privilégié parmi ses frères etqu'il baigne son pied dans l'huile!
25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.	25 Que tes verrous soient de fer et d'airain et que ta sécurité dure autant que tes jours!
26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.	26 Nul n'est pareil au Dieu de Yeshurûn: il chevauche les cieux pour te secourir, et les nuées,dans sa majesté!
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.	27 Le Dieu d'autrefois, c'est ton refuge. Ici-bas, c'est lui le bras antique qui chasse devant toil'ennemi; c'est lui qui dit: Détruis!
28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.	28 Israël demeure en sécurité. La source de Jacob est mise à part pour un pays de froment et devin; le ciel même y distille la rosée.
29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.	29 Heureux es-tu, ô Israël! Qui est comme toi, peuple vainqueur? En Yahvé est le bouclier quite secourt, l'épée qui te mène au triomphe. Tes ennemis voudront te corrompre, mais toi, tu fouleras leurs dos.
