1 Now the sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was his firstborn: but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his first birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, and he was not accounted for the firstborn.	1 Descendientes de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel. Rubén fue el primero en nacer, pero como profanó el lecho de su padre, su primogenitura fue entregada a los hijos de José, al hijo de Israel, y no fue inscrito en las genealogías como el primogénito.
2 But of the race of Juda, who was the strongest among his brethren, came the princes: but the first birthright was accounted to Joseph.)	2 Judá, en efecto, prevaleció entre sus hermanos y de él procede el Príncipe; pero la primogenitura pertenece a José.
3 The sons then of Ruben the firstborn of Israel were Enoch, and Phallu, Esron, and Charmi.	3 Los descendientes de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel, fueron Henoc, Palú, Jesrón y Carmí.
4 The sons of Joel: Samaia his son, Gog his son, Semei his son,	4 El hijo de Joel fue Semaías; el hijo de Semaías, Gog; el hijo de Gog, Simei;
5 Micha his son, Reia his son, Baal his son,	5 el hijo de Simei, Micá; el hijo de Micá, Reaías; el hijo de Reaías, Baal;
6 Beera his son, whom Thelgathphalnasar king of the Assyrians carried away captive, and he was prince in the tribe of Ruben.	6 el hijo de Baal, Beerá, a quien Tiglat Piléser, rey de Asiria, llevó cautivo. Este era jefe de los Rubenitas.
7 And his brethren, and all his kindred, when they were numbered by their families, had for princes Jehiel, and Zacharias.	7 Sus hermanos, agrupados por familias según sus genealogías, eran Ieiel, el primero, luego Zacarías,
8 And Bala the son of Azaz, the son of Samma, the son of Joel, dwelt in Aroer as far as Nebo, and Beelmeon.	8 y Belá, hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel. Estos habitaban en Aroer y se extendían hasta Nebo y Baal Meón.
9 And eastward he had his habitation as far as the entrance of the desert, and the river Euphrates. For they possessed a great number of cattle in the land of Galaad.	9 También se extendían hacia el oriente, hasta el borde del desierto que limita con el río Eufrates, porque sus ganados se habían multiplicado en la tierra de Galaad.
10 And in the days of Saul they fought against the Agarites, and slew them, and dwelt in their tents in their stead, in all the country, that looketh to the east of Galaad.	10 En tiempos de Saúl combatieron contra los agareos, y estos cayeron en sus manos. Así ocuparon sus campamentos por toda la parte oriental de Galaad.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Basan, as far as Selcha:	11 Los hijos de Gad habitaban frente a ellos en la tierra de Basán hasta Salcá.
12 Johel the chief, and Saphan the second: and Janai, and Saphat in Basan.	12 Joel fue el primero que se estableció en Basán; Sefán, el segundo; luego lo hicieron Ianai y Safat.
13 And their brethren according to the houses of their kindreds, were Michael, and Mosollam, and Sebe, and Jorai, and Jacan, and Zie, and Heber, seven.	13 Sus hermanos, agrupados por familias, fueron Micael, Mesulam, Sebá, Iorai, Iacán, Zía y Héber: siete en total.
14 These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Hurl, the son of Jara, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesisi, the son of Jeddo, the son of But.	14 Estos son los hijos de Abijáil, hijo de Jurí, hijo de Iaróaj, hijo de Guilad, hijo de Micael, hijo de Iesisai, hijo de Iajdó, hijo de Buz.
15 And their brethren the sons of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house in their families,	15 Así, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guní, era jefe de sus familias.
16 And they dwelt in Galaad, and in Basan and in the towns thereof, and in all the suburbs of Saron, unto the borders.	16 Ellos habitaban en Galaad, en Basán y sus poblados, y en todos los campos de pastoreo de Sarón, hasta sus confines.
17 All these were numbered in the days of Joathan king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.	17 Todos ellos fueron registrados en tiempos de Jotam, rey de Judá, y de Jeroboam, rey de Israel,
18 The sons of Ruben, and of Gad, and of the half tribe of Manasses, fighting men, bearing shields, and swords, and bending the bow, and trained up to battles, four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore that went out to war.	18 Los hijos de Rubén, los de Gad y la mitad de la tribu de Manasés, eran muy valientes, llevaban escudo y espada y manejaban el arco. Los que estaban adiestrados para la guerra formaban un ejército de cuarenta y cuatro mil setecientos sesenta hombres.
19 They fought against the Agarites: but the Itureans, and Naphis, and Nodab,	19 Ellos combatieron contra los agareos, contra Ietur, Nafís y Nodab,
20 Gave them help. And the Agarites were delivered into their hands, and all that were with them, because they called upon God in the battle: and he heard them, because they had put their faith in him.	20 y Dios los ayudó, de tal manera que los agareos y todos los que estaban con ellos, cayeron en sus manos; en el combate invocaron a Dios y él les fue propicio, porque confiaban en él.
21 And they took all that they possessed, of camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men a hundred thousand souls.	21 Así lograron capturar sus ganados –cincuenta mil camellos, doscientas cincuenta mil ovejas, dos mil asnos– además de cien mil personas.
22 And many fell down slain : for it was the battle of the Lord. And they dwelt in their stead till the captivity.	22 Como era Dios el que combatía a favor de ellos, dieron muerte a muchos enemigos y ocuparon su lugar hasta el exilio.
23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasses possessed the land, from the borders of Basan unto Baal, Hermon, and Sanir, and mount Hermon, for their number was great.	23 Los hijos de la mitad de la tribu de Manasés se establecieron en el país, desde Basán hasta Baal Hermón, Senir y la montaña del Hermón. Ellos eran muy numerosos.
24 And these were the heads of the house of their kindred, Epher, and Jesi, and Eliel, and Esriel, and Jeremia, and Odoia, and Jediel, most valiant and powerful men, and famous chiefs in their families.	24 Estos son los jefes de sus familias: Efer, Isei, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Iajdiel, hombres valientes y jefes famosos de sus respectivas familias.
25 But they forsook the God of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.	25 Pero fueron infieles al Dios de sus padres, y se prostituyeron siguiendo a los dioses de los pueblos del país que Dios había destruido delante de ellos.
26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phul king of the Assyrians, and the spirit of Thelgathphalnasar king of Assur: and he carried away Ruben, and Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses, and brought them to Lahela, and to Habor, and to Ara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.	26 Por eso, el Dios de Israel suscitó contra ellos a Pul, es decir, a Tiglat Pileser, y este deportó a los rubenitas, a los gaditas y a la mitad de la tribu de Manasés, y los llevó a Jalaj, Jabor, Jará y al río Gozán, hasta el día de hoy.
	27 Los descendientes de Leví fueron Gersón, Quehat, y Merarí.
	28 Los hijos de Quehat fueron Amram, Ishar, Hebrón y Uziel.
	29 Los hijos de Amram fueron Aarón, Moisés y Miriam. Los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar.
	30 Eleazar fue padre de Pinjás; Pinjás fue padre de Abisúa;
	31 Abisúa fue padre de Buquí; Buquí fue padre de Uzí;
	32 Uzí fue padre de Zerajías; Zerajías fue padre de Meraiot;
	33 Meraiot fue padre de Amarías; Amarías fue padre de Ajitub;
	34 Ajitub fue padre de Sadoc; Sadoc fue padre de Ajimáas;
	35 Ajimáas fue padre de Azarías; Azarías fue padre de Iojanán;
	36 Iojanán fue padre de Azarías, el cual ejerció el sacerdocio en el Templo que Salomón edificó en Jerusalén;
	37 Azarías fue padre de Amarías; Amarías fue padre de Ajitub;
	38 Ajitub fue padre de Sadoc; Sadoc fue padre de Salúm;
	39 Salúm fue padre de Jilquías; Jilquías fue padre de Azarías;
	40 Azarías fue padre de Seraías ; Seraías fue padre de Iehosadac;
	41 Iehosadac fue al destierro, cuando el Señor deportó a los habitantes de Judá y de Jerusalén por medio de Nabucodonosor.
