1 Pasado el sábado, al amanecer del primer día de la semana, María Magdalena y la otra María fueron a visitar el sepulcro.	1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 De pronto, se produjo un gran temblor de tierra: el Angel del Señor bajó del cielo, hizo rodar la piedra del sepulcro y se sentó sobre ella.	2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 Su aspecto era como el de un relámpago y sus vestiduras eran blancas como la nieve.	3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 Al verlo, los guardias temblaron de espanto y quedaron como muertos.	4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 El Angel dijo a las mujeres: «No teman, yo sé que ustedes buscan a Jesús, el Crucificado.	5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 No está aquí, porque ha resucitado como lo había dicho. Vengan a ver el lugar donde estaba,	6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 y vayan en seguida a decir a sus discípulos: «Ha resucitado de entre los muertos, e irá antes que ustedes a Galilea: allí lo verán». Esto es lo que tenía que decirles».	7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 Las mujeres, atemorizadas pero llenas de alegría, se alejaron rápidamente del sepulcro y fueron a dar la noticia a los discípulos.	8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 De pronto, Jesús salió a su encuentro y las saludó, diciendo: «Alégrense». Ellas se acercaron y, abrazándole los pies, se postraron delante de él.	9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Y Jesús les dijo: «No teman; avisen a mis hermanos que vayan a Galilea, y allí me verán».	10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 Mientras ellas se alejaban, algunos guardias fueron a la ciudad para contar a los sumos sacerdotes todo lo que había sucedido.	11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 Estos se reunieron con los ancianos y, de común acuerdo, dieron a los soldados una gran cantidad de dinero,	12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 con esta consigna: «Digan así: «Sus discípulos vinieron durante la noche y robaron su cuerpo, mientras dormíamos».	13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 Si el asunto llega a oídos del gobernador, nosotros nos encargaremos de apaciguarlo y de evitarles a ustedes cualquier contratiempo».	14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15 Ellos recibieron el dinero y cumplieron la consigna. Esta versión se ha difundido entre los judíos hasta el día de hoy.	15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 Los once discípulos fueron a Galilea, a la montaña donde Jesús los había citado.	16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 Al verlo, se postraron delante de el; sin embargo, algunos todavía dudaron.	17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 Acercándose, Jesús les dijo: «Yo he recibido todo poder en el cielo y en la tierra.	18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Vayan, y hagan que todos los pueblos sean mis discípulos, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo,	19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 y enseñándoles a cumplir todo lo que yo les he mandado. Y yo estaré siempre con ustedes hasta el fin del mundo».	20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
