EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Amen la justicia, ustedes, los que gobiernan la tierra, piensen rectamente acerca del Señor y búsquenlo con sencillez de corazón.	1 Love uprightness you who are rulers on earth, be properly disposed towards the Lord and seek him insimplicity of heart;
2 Porque él se deja encontrar por los que no lo tientan, y se manifiesta a los que no desconfían de él.	2 for he wil be found by those who do not put him to the test, revealing himself to those who do notmistrust him.
3 Los pensamientos tortuosos apartan de Dios, y el Poder puesto a prueba, confunde a los insensatos.	3 Perverse thoughts, however, separate people from God, and power, when put to the test, confounds thestupid.
4 La Sabiduría no entra en un alma que hace el mal ni habita en un cuerpo sometido al pecado.	4 Wisdom wil never enter the soul of a wrong-doer, nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin;
5 Porque el santo espíritu, el educador, huye de la falsedad, se aparta de los razonamientos insensatos, y se siente rechazado cuando sobreviene la injusticia.	5 for the holy spirit of instruction flees deceitfulness, recoils from unintel igent thoughts, is thwarted by theonset of vice.
6 La Sabiduría es un espíritu amigo de los hombres, pero no dejará sin castigo las palabras del blasfemo, porque Dios es el testigo de sus sentimientos, el observador veraz de su corazón, y escucha todo lo que dice su lengua.	6 Wisdom is a spirit friendly to humanity, though she will not let a blasphemer's words go unpunished;since God observes the very soul and accurately surveys the heart, listening to every word.
7 Porque el espíritu del Señor llena la tierra, y él, que mantiene unidas todas las cosas, sabe todo lo que se dice.	7 For the spirit of the Lord fil s the world, and that which holds everything together knows every word said.
8 Por eso no podrá ocultarse el que habla perversamente, la justicia acusadora no pasará de largo junto a él.	8 No one who speaks what is wrong will go undetected, nor will avenging Justice pass by such a one.
9 Los designios del impío serán examinados: el eco de sus palabras llegará hasta el Señor, como prueba acusadora de sus iniquidades.	9 For the schemes of the godless wil be examined, and a report of his words wil reach the Lord toconvict him of his crimes.
10 Un oído celoso lo escucha todo, no se le escapa ni el más lleve murmullo.	10 There is a jealous ear that overhears everything, not even a murmur of complaint escapes it.
11 Cuídense, entonces, de las murmuraciones inútiles y preserven su lengua de la maledicencia; porque la palabra más secreta no se pronuncia en vano, y una boca mentirosa da muerte al alma.	11 So beware of uttering frivolous complaints, restrain your tongue from finding fault; even what is said insecret has repercussions, and a lying mouth deals death to the soul.
12 No busquen la muerte viviendo extraviadamente, ni se atraigan la ruina con las obras de sus manos.	12 Do not court death by the errors of your ways, nor invite destruction through the work of your hands.
13 Porque Dios no ha hecho la muerte ni se complace en la perdición de los vivientes.	13 For God did not make Death, he takes no pleasure in destroying the living.
14 El ha creado todas las cosas para que subsistan; las criaturas del mundo son saludables, no hay en ellas ningún veneno mortal y la muerte no ejerce su dominio sobre la tierra.	14 To exist -- for this he created all things; the creatures of the world have health in them, in them is nofatal poison, and Hades has no power over the world:
15 Porque la justicia es inmortal.	15 for uprightness is immortal.
16 Pero los impíos llaman a la muerte con gestos y palabras: teniéndola por amiga, se desviven por ella y han hecho con ella un pacto, porque son dignos de pertenecerle.	16 But the godless cal for Death with deed and word, counting him friend, they wear themselves out forhim; with him they make a pact, worthy as they are to belong to him.
