Salmos 34

EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS	NEW JERUSALEM
1 De David. Cuando se fingió demente delante de Abimélec, y tuvo que irse, echado por él.	1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.
2 [Alef] Bendeciré al Señor en todo tiempo, su alabanza estará siempre en mis labios.	2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.
3 [Bet] Mi alma se gloría en el Señor; que lo oigan los humildes y se alegren.	3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.
4 [Guímel] Glorifiquen conmigo al Señor, alabemos su Nombre todos juntos.	4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.
5 [Dálet] Busqué al Señor: él me respondió y me libró de todos mis temores.	5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.
6 [He] Miren hacia él y quedarán resplandecientes, y sus rostros no se avergonzarán.	6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.
7 [Zain] Este pobre hombre invocó al Señor: él lo escuchó y los salvó de sus angustias.	7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 [Jet] El Angel del Señor acampa en torno de sus fieles, y los libra.	8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.
9 [Tet] ¡Gusten y vean qué bueno es el Señor! ¡Felices los que en él se refugian!	9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.
10 [Iod] Teman al Señor, todos sus santos, porque nada faltará a los que lo temen.	10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.
11 [Caf] Los ricos se empobrecen y sufren hambre, pero los que buscan al Señor no carecen de nada.	11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.
12 [Lámed] Vengan, hijos, escuchen: voy a enseñarles el temor del Señor.	12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?
13 [Mem] ¿Quién es el hombre que ama la vida y desea gozar de días felices?	13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.
14 [Nun] Guarda tu lengua del mal, y tus labios de palabras mentirosas.	14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
15 [Sámec] Apártate del mal y practica el bien, busca la paz y sigue tras ella.	15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.
16 [Ain] Los ojos del Señor miran al justo y sus oídos escuchan su clamor;	16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 [Pe] pero el Señor rechaza a los que hacen el mal para borrar su recuerdo de la tierra.	17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.
18 [Sade] Cuando ellos claman, el Señor los escucha y los libra de todas sus angustias.	18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 [Qof] El Señor está cerca del que sufre y salva a los que están abatidos.	19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.
20 [Res] El justo padece muchos males, pero el Señor lo libra de ellos.	20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.
21 [Sin] El cuida todos sus huesos, no se quebrará ni uno solo.	21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.
22 [Tau] La maldad hará morir al malvado, y los que odian al justo serán castigados;	22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.
23 [Vau] Pero el Señor rescata a sus servidores, y los que se refugian en él no serán castigados.
