| 1 Yahvé me fit voir le grand prêtre Josué. Il se tenait devant l’ange de Yahvé, et Satan se tenait à sa droite pour l’accuser. | 1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. |
| 2 L’ange de Yahvé dit à Satan: “Que Yahvé te fasse taire, Satan. Oui, que Yahvé te fasse taire, lui qui a choisi Jérusalem! Celui-ci n’est-il pas un tison sauvé du feu?” | 2 And the LORD said to Satan, "The LORD rebuke you, O Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?" |
| 3 Or Josué se tenait devant l’ange avec des vêtements sales. | 3 Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. |
| 4 L’ange s’adressa alors à ceux qui l’assistaient: “Enlevez-lui ses vêtements sales, passez-lui des habits de fête | 4 And the angel said to those who were standing before him, "Remove the filthy garments from him." And to him he said, "Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with rich apparel." |
| 5 et mettez lui sur la tête une tiare propre.” Alors on mit sur sa tête une tiare propre et on l’habilla de vêtements de fête. L’ange de Yahvé ajouta: “À présent je t’ai débarrassé de ta faute.” | 5 And I said, "Let them put a clean turban on his head." So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments; and the angel of the LORD was standing by. |
| 6 Puis l’ange de Yahvé déclara à Josué: “Voici ce que dit Yahvé Sabaot: | 6 And the angel of the LORD enjoined Joshua, |
| 7 “Si tu marches dans mes sentiers, si tu gardes mes commandements, tu dirigeras ma Maison; tu seras le gardien de mon Temple et je te donnerai une place parmi ceux qui se tiennent ici. | 7 "Thus says the LORD of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. |
| 8 3:9 Car voici la pierre que je place devant Josué; sur cette pierre unique il y a sept yeux et moi-même je vais en graver l’inscription - parole de Yahvé Sabaot. | 8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men of good omen: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. |
| 9 3:8 “Toi, Josué le grand prêtre, et tes compagnons qui sont assis autour de toi, écoutez donc car vous êtes des personnages importants. Voici que je vais introduire mon serviteur ‘le Germe’, 9b et en un seul jour je supprimerai la dette de ce pays envers moi. | 9 For behold, upon the stone which I have set before Joshua, upon a single stone with seven facets, I will engrave its inscription, says the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the guilt of this land in a single day. |
