1 Yahvé dit à Moïse:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 “Voici ce que tu diras aux Israélites: Je suis Yahvé votre Dieu!	2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: I, the LORD, am your God.
3 Vous ne ferez pas ce qui se fait en Égypte, où vous avez habité, ou ce qui se fait au pays de Canaan où je vous ai fait entrer. Vous ne le ferez pas, vous ne suivrez pas leurs coutumes.	3 You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you once lived, nor shall you do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; do not conform to their customs.
4 C’est à mes commandements que vous obéirez, ce sont mes coutumes que vous suivrez et mettrez en pratique: je suis Yahvé votre Dieu!	4 My decrees you shall carry out, and my statutes you shall take care to follow. I, the LORD, am your God.
5 Vous observerez mes coutumes et mes commandements, car celui qui les met en pratique vit grâce à eux: je suis Yahvé!	5 Keep, then, my statutes and decrees, for the man who carries them out will find life through them. I am the LORD.
6 Aucun homme parmi vous ne s’approchera d’une femme qui est de sa proche parenté, pour avoir des rapports avec elle: je suis Yahvé!	6 "None of you shall approach a close relative to have sexual intercourse with her. I am the LORD.
7 Tu n’auras de rapports ni avec ton père ni avec ta mère: c’est ta mère, tu n’auras donc pas de rapports avec elle.	7 You shall not disgrace your father by having intercourse with your mother. Besides, since she is your own mother, you shall not have intercourse with her.
8 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la femme de ton père, car elle est la chair de ton père.	8 You shall not have intercourse with your father's wife, for that would be a disgrace to your father.
9 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la fille de ta sœur, ou la fille de ton père ou la fille de ta mère, qu’elle soit née dans ta maison ou au dehors.	9 You shall not have intercourse with your sister, your father's daughter or your mother's daughter, whether she was born in your own household or born elsewhere.
10 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la fille de ton fils ou de ta fille, car elles sont ta propre chair.	10 You shall not have intercourse with your son's daughter or with your daughter's daughter, for that would be a disgrace to your own family.
11 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec une fille de la femme de ton père, si elle est née de ton père: elle est ta sœur et tu n’auras pas de rapports avec elle.	11 You shall not have intercourse with the daughter whom your father's wife bore to him, since she, too, is your sister.
12 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la sœur de ton père, car elle est la chair de ton père.	12 You shall not have intercourse with your father's sister, since she is your father's relative.
13 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la sœur de ta mère, car elle est la chair de ta mère.	13 You shall not have intercourse with your mother's sister, since she is your mother's relative.
14 Respecte le frère de ton père! Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec sa femme, car elle est ta tante.	14 You shall not disgrace your father's brother by being intimate with his wife, since she, too, is your aunt.
15 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec ta bru, car elle est la femme de ton fils: tu n’auras pas de rapports avec elle.	15 You shall not have intercourse with your daughter-in-law; she is your son's wife, and therefore you shall not disgrace her.
16 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la femme de ton frère, car elle est la chair de ton frère.	16 You shall not have intercourse with your brother's wife, for that would be a disgrace to your brother.
17 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec une femme et sa fille; tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la fille de son fils, ou la fille de sa fille, car elles sont sa propre chair; ce serait un crime.	17 You shall not have intercourse with a woman and also with her daughter, nor shall you marry and have intercourse with her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter; this would be shameful, because they are related to her.
18 Tu ne prendras pas une femme en même temps que sa sœur pour avoir des rapports avec elle alors que l’autre est encore en vie.	18 While your wife is still living you shall not marry her sister as her rival; for thus you would disgrace your first wife.
19 Tu n’auras pas de relations avec une femme pendant la période de ses règles.	19 "You shall not approach a woman to have intercourse with her while she is unclean from menstruation.
20 Tu n’auras pas de rapports avec la femme de ton prochain, tu en resterais souillé.	20 You shall not have carnal relations with your neighbor's wife, defiling yourself with her.
21 Tu n’iras pas sacrifier un de tes enfants à Molok, car ce serait profaner le nom de ton Dieu: je suis Yahvé!	21 You shall not offer any of your offspring to be immolated to Molech, thus profaning the name of your God. I am the LORD.
22 Tu ne coucheras pas avec un homme comme on couche avec une femme: c’est un acte abominable!	22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such a thing is an abomination.
23 Tu ne coucheras pas avec une bête: tu en resterais souillé. La femme ne s’unira pas à une bête pour se prostituer avec elle: c’est une honte!	23 You shall not have carnal relations with an animal, defiling yourself with it; nor shall a woman set herself in front of an animal to mate with it; such things are abhorrent.
24 Ne vous rendez impurs par aucune de ces pratiques, car c’est ainsi que se sont souillées les nations que je vais chasser devant vous.	24 "Do not defile yourselves by any of these things by which the nations whom I am driving out of your way have defiled themselves.
25 Le pays en a été souillé, c’est pourquoi je vais intervenir et le pays vomira ses habitants.	25 Because their land has become defiled, I am punishing it for its wickedness, by making it vomit out its inhabitants.
26 Vous observerez mes lois et mes commandements, et vous ne commettrez aucune de ces choses honteuses, ni vous, ni l’étranger qui habite au milieu de vous.	26 You, however, whether natives or resident aliens, must keep my statutes and decrees forbidding all such abominations
27 Ceux qui habitaient ce pays avant vous s’étaient habitués à ces pratiques honteuses, et le pays en a été souillé.	27 by which the previous inhabitants defiled the land;
28 Ne souillez pas ce pays à votre tour, car il vous vomirait comme il a vomi les nations qui étaient avant vous.	28 otherwise the land will vomit you out also for having defiled it, just as it vomited out the nations before you.
29 Ceux qui se livreront à l’une de ces actions honteuses devront être retranchés du milieu de leur peuple.	29 Everyone who does any of these abominations shall be cut off from among his people.
30 Vous observerez mes commandements et vous ne suivrez aucune des pratiques honteuses qui se faisaient avant vous; vous ne vous souillerez pas de cette façon, car je suis Yahvé votre Dieu.”	30 Heed my charge, then, not to defile yourselves by observing the abominable customs that have been observed before you. I, the LORD, am your God."
