1 Erano congregati Iosuè e tutti quanti i figliuoli d' Israel in Silo; e quivi (ripuosono e) ficcarono i tabernacoli del testamento, e fue la terra soggetta (e sottomessa) a loro.	1 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.
2 Ma rimasono de' figliuoli d' Israel sette schiatte, le quali ancora non aveano preso la possessione loro.	2 And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
3 Ai quali disse Iosuè: perchè vi state e infaccendatevi nella vostra pigrizia, e non entrate a possedere la terra la quale Iddio, vostro Signore e de' vostri padri, vi diede?	3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
4 Eleggetevi di ciascuna schiatta tre uomini, acciò ch' io li mandi, e sì cerchino intorno alla terra, e sì la considerino e tolgano la misura secondo lo numero di ciascuna (ischiatta e) moltitudine, e sì mi riportino quello che avranno giudicato e fatto.	4 Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.
5 E dividetevi intra voi la terra in sette parti; e sia Giuda nelli termini suoi dalla parte australe, e la casa di Iosef dall'aquilone.	5 And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.
6 La media terra intra costoro in sette parti giudicate; e verrete quà a me, acciò che dinanzi a Dio vostro Signore metta qui le sorti.	6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
7 Imperciò che tra voi non è la parte de' Leviti (cioè di quelli della schiatta di Levi), ma de' preti Iddio Signore la loro eredità è. Ma Gad e Ruben e la metà della schiatta di Manasse già aveano presa le loro possessioni di là dal (fiume) Giordano dalla parte dell' oriente; le quali possessioni diede loro Moisè servo di Dio.	7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.
8 E levandosi suso gli uomini per andare a giudicare e dividere la terra, (e porre mente) comandò loro Iosuè, dicendo: cercate intorno alla terra, e sì la considerate e giudicate, e tornate a me, che qui dinanzi a Dio nostro Signore in Silo metta tra voi le sorti.	8 And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the LORD in Shiloh.
9 E andarono coloro riguardando la terra, e si la divisero in sette parti, iscrivendole in uno volume; e tornarono a Iosuè nel campo in Silo.	9 And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh.
10 Il quale mise le sorti in Silo dinanzi a Dio; e divise la terra ai figliuoli d' Israel in sette parti.	10 And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.
11 E venne la sorte prima de' figliuoli di Beniamin, secondo le loro famiglie, acciò che possedessono la terra tra' figliuoli di Giuda e quegli di Iosef.	11 And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
12 E fu il loro termine verso l' aquilone dal (fiume) Giordano, andando a lato a Gerico di là dalla parte del settentrione, e quindi verso l' occidente salendo suso alle montagne, vegnendo nella solitudine di Betaven,	12 And their border on the north side was from Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north side, and went up through the mountains westward; and the goings out thereof were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
13 e passando a lato a Luza dal mezzodi, la quale si è Betel; e andò giuso in Atarot-Addar, nel monte che è al mezzodi di Betoron che sta di sotto;	13 And the border went over from thence toward Luz, to the side of Luz, which is Bethel, southward; and the border descended to Ataroth-adar, near the hill that lieth on the south side of the nether Beth-horon.
14 e chinasi giuso, attorniando verso il mare, dal mezzodi del monte che ragguarda Betoron verso l'Africa; e sono le sue uscite in Cariatbaal, la quale si chiama Cariatiarim, cittade de' figliuoli di Giuda. Questa si è la parte (grande) verso il mare all' occidente.	14 And the border was drawn thence, and compassed the corner of the sea southward, from the hill that lieth before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out thereof were at Kirjath-baal, which is Kirjath-jearim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west quarter.
15 Mía al mezzodì, dalla parte di Cariatiarim, iscese il termine (e il confine) verso il mare, e viene insino alla fonte dell' acque di Neftoa.	15 And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:
16 E iscende giuso nella parte del monte, il quale ragguarda la valle de' figliuoli di Ennom; ed è verso l'andare di settentrione nell' ultima parte della valle di Rafaim. E iscende giuso in Geennom, cioè la valle di Ennom, a lato il Iebuseo dall'austro; e viene alla fonte di Rogel,	16 And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to En-rogel,
17 passando dall'aquilone, e riuscendo ad Ensemes, cioè alla fonte del sole;	17 And was drawn from the north, and went forth to En-shemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is over against the going up of Adummim, and descended to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben,
18 e passa oltre insino a' monticelli che sono della contrada del salire di Adommim; e viene giuso ad Abenboen, cioè alla pietra di Boen figliuolo di Ruben; e passa oltre da lato ad aquilone a' piani; e iscende poi giuso alla pianura,	18 And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:
19 e trapassa oltre verso l' aquilone a Betagla; e sono le sue uscite verso uno campo del mare salsissimo, dall'aquilone nella fine del (fiume) Giordano dalla parte australe,	19 And the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward: and the outgoings of the border were at the north bay of the salt sea at the south end of Jordan: this was the south coast.
20 il quale si è il suo termine dell' oriente. Questa si è la possessione de' figliuoli di Beniamin, per tutti gli suoi termini (e confini) intorno intorno, a ciaschedune famiglie.	20 And Jordan was the border of it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by the coasts thereof round about, according to their families.
21 E furono le sue cittadi: Ierico e Betagla e la valle di Casis,	21 Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and the valley of Keziz,
22 Betaraba e Samaraim e Betel,	22 And Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
23 e Avim e Afara e Ofera,	23 And Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
24 e Villa Emona e Ofni e Gabee; le quali sono XII cittadi e le sue ville.	24 And Chephar-haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities with their villages:
25 Poi si è Gabaon e Rama e Berot,	25 Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
26 e Mesfe e Cafara, e Amosa,	26 And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
27 e Recem e Iarefel e Tarela,	27 And Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
28 e Sela ed Elef e Iebus, la quale si è Ierusalem, e Gabaat e Cariat; le quali sono cittadi XIIII e le ville loro. Questa si è la possessione [de' figliuoli] di Benianim, secondo le loro famiglie.	28 And Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gibeath, and Kirjath; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
