1 Moisè fu amato da Dio e dagli uomini, la cui memoria è nella (sua) benedizione..	1 From him was to spring the man who won the favor of all: Dear to God and men, MOSES, whose memory is held in benediction.
2 Fece simile colui nella gloria de' santi, e magnificollo (Iddio) nel timore delli nimici; e nelle sue parole aumiliò li (miracoli e) mostri.	2 God's honor devolved upon him, and the Lord strengthened him with fearful powers;
3 Glorificollo (Iddio) nel conspetto delli re, e diedeli i comandamenti della legge dinanzi dal popolo suo, e mostrogli la gloria sua.	3 God wrought swift miracles at his words and sustained him in the king's presence. He gave him the commandments for his people, and revealed to him his glory.
4 Nella fede e nella mansuetudine sua il fece santo, ed elesse lui di tutti li uomini.	4 For his trustworthiness and meekness God selected him from all mankind;
5 Udi lui (Iddio) e la voce sua, e indusse lui nel nuvolo.	5 He permitted him to hear his voice, and led him into the cloud, Where, face to face, he gave him the commandments, the law of life and understanding, That he might teach his precepts to Jacob, his judgments and decrees to Israel.
6 E diedeli cuore ad imparare li comandamenti, e la legge della vita e della disciplina, e ad ammaestrare lo testamento di Iacob, e le sentenze d' Israel.	6 He raised up also, like Moses in holiness, his brother AARON, of the tribe of Levi.
7 Grande fece (Iddio) Aaron fratello di Moisè, ed eguale a lui, della tribù di Levi.	7 He made him perpetual in his office when he bestowed on him the priesthood of his people; He established him in honor and crowned him with lofty majesty;
8 Ordinogli lo testamento eterno, e diedegli il sacerdozio della gente, e beatificollo in gloria.	8 He clothed him with splendid apparel, and adorned him with the glorious vestments: Breeches and tunic and robe with pomegranates around the hem,
9 E cinselo con uno cingulo di giustizia, e vestillo di una stola di gloria, e coronollo in vasi di virtude.	9 And a rustle of bells round about, through whose pleasing sound at each step He would be heard within the sanctuary, and the children of his race would be remembered;
10 E misegli i sandali a' piedi, e' femorali e' umerali; e cinseli dintorno di molte campanuzze d'oro in cerchio,	10 The sacred vestments of gold, of violet, and of crimson, wrought with embroidery; The breastpiece for decision, the ephod and cincture
11 a dare suono al suo andare, per udire il suono nel tempio, in memoria eterna della gente sua;	11 with scarlet yarn, the work of the weaver; Precious stones with seal engravings in golden settings, the work of the jeweler, To commemorate in incised letters each of the tribes of Israel;
12 stola santa con oro e azzurro e rosato, e lavorio tessuto d'uomo savio, ornato di giudicio e di veritade;	12 On his turban the diadem of gold, its plate wrought with the insignia of holiness, Majestic, glorious, renowned for splendor, a delight to the eyes, beauty supreme.
13 e di filo di grana torto, opera dello artefice, in legatura d'oro con gemme preziose (lavorate e) figurate, e con opera di lapidario intagliate, in memoria secondo il numero delle tribù d'Israel.	13 Before him, no one was adorned with these, nor may they ever be worn by any Except his sons and them alone, generation after generation, for all time.
14 Corona d'oro sopra la mitria sua, e dichiarata con segno di santitade e di gloria e di onore; e d'opera di virtude ornata al desiderio degli occhi.	14 His cereal offering is wholly burnt with the established sacrifice twice each day;
15 Così belle non furono dinanzi da lui, nè cotali, infino ad oriente.	15 For Moses ordained him and anointed him with the holy oil, In a lasting covenant with him and with his family, as permanent as the heavens, That he should serve God in his priesthood and bless his people in his name.
16 Non vestie quella poi alcuno strano, ma solo i figliuoli di colui e li nepoti, tutto il tempo.	16 He chose him from all mankind to offer holocausts and choice offerings, To burn sacrifices of sweet odor for a memorial, and to atone for the people of Israel.
17 Li sacrificii suoi furono continuo consumati nel fuoco.	17 He gave to him his laws, and authority to prescribe and to judge: To teach the precepts to his people, and the ritual to the descendants of Israel.
18 Moisè empiè le sue mani, e unselo d'olio santo.	18 Men of other families were inflamed against him, were jealous of him in the desert, The followers of Dathan and Abiram, and the band of Korah in their defiance.
19 E fatto fu questo a lui in testamento eterno, e al seme suo, sì come i dì del cielo, d'usare lo sacerdozio, e avere laude; e glorificò il popolo suo nel nome suo.	19 But the LORD saw this and became angry, he destroyed them in his burning wrath. He brought down upon them a miracle, and consumed them with his flaming fire.
20 Lui Iddio elesse di tutti li viventi ad offerire sacrificio e incenso a Dio e buono odore, in memoria a pacificare (Iddio) per il popolo suo.	20 Then he increased the glory of Aaron and bestowed upon him his inheritance: The sacred offerings he allotted to him, with the showbread as his portion;
21 E diedeli potestade nelli suoi comandamenti, e ne' testamenti delli giudicii, ammaestrare Iacob nelli testimonii della (legge, e ammaestrollo nella) legge sua per dare la luce in Israel.	21 The oblations of the LORD are his food, a gift to him and his descendants.
22 (Nella quale) stettono contra lui li stranieri, e per invidia lo torniarono nel deserto uomini che erano con Datan e Abiron, e la radunanza che fece Core in iracundia (vide).	22 But he holds no land among the people nor shares with them their heritage; For the LORD himself is his portion, his inheritance in the midst of Israel.
23 Iddio vidde questa cosa, e non li piacque; e consumati furono nello impeto della iracundia.	23 PHINEHAS too, the son of Eleazar, was the courageous third of his line When, zealous for the God of all, he met the crisis of his people And, at the prompting of his noble heart, atoned for the children of Israel.
24 Fece elli a loro segni, e consumoe coloro nella fiamma del fuoco.	24 Therefore on him again God conferred the right, in a covenant of friendship, to provide for the sanctuary, So that he and his descendants should possess the high priesthood forever.
25 Ed accresceo ad Aaron la gloria, e diedeli la ereditade, e diviseli le primizie delle biade della terra.	25 For even his covenant with David, the son of Jesse of the tribe of Judah, Was an individual heritage through one son alone; but the heritage of Aaron is for all his descendants.
26 Il pane di colui primamente apparecchiò in sazietade; però che (li suoi discendenti) mangeranno li sacrificii di Dio, li quali diede a lui medesimo e al seme suo.	26 And now bless the LORD who has crowned you with glory! May he grant you wisdom of heart to govern his people in justice, Lest their welfare should ever be forgotten, or your authority, throughout all time.
27 Finalmente in terra la gente (levitica) non sarà erede; e non hanno elli parte nella gente; però che esso Iddio sarà a loro parte ed eredità.
28 Finees, figliuolo di Eleazaro, terzo è nella gloria (sua), seguitando lui nel timore di Dio,
29 e stare nella reverenza della gente; nella bontade e allegrezza [dell' anima] sua piacque a Dio d' Israel.
30 Però Iddio li ordinoe lo testamento della pace, e fecelo principe de' santi (sacerdoti) e della gente sua, acciò che elli e il seme suo abbia la dignitade del sacerdozio sempre.
31 Il testamento del re David, figliuolo di Iesse della tribù di Iuda, sia sua ereditade, e al seme suo, acciò ch' elli dèsse sapienza (della legge) nel cuore nostro a giudicare la gente in giustizia; e comandò che non si disfacessono li beni loro (de' sacerdoti); e fece (ferma) la gloria loro eterna nella gente loro (ne' levitici).
