1 Nella fine, il salmo di David lo qual cantò al Signore per le parole di Cusi figliuolo di Gemini	1 [Lament Of David Which he sang to Yahweh about Cush the Benjaminite] Yahweh my God, I takerefuge in you, save me from al my pursuers and rescue me,
2 Signore Iddio mio, in te ho sperato; fammi salvo, e deliberami da tutti coloro che mi persèguitano.	2 or he wil savage me like a lion, carry me off with no one to rescue me.
3 Chè per avventura non rapiscano l'anima mia, come leone, persino che ci ricompererai e fara'ci salvi.	3 Yahweh my God, if I have done this: if injustice has stained my hands,
4 Signore Iddio mio, non ho fatto questo male; non è iniquità nelle mie mani.	4 if I have repaid my al y with treachery or spared one who attacked me unprovoked,
5 Se io ho retribuito male a quelli che m' hanno retribuito male (per averli fatto bene), meritamente sono separato dagli inimici miei, come vano.	5 may an enemy hunt me down and catch me, may he trample my life into the ground and crush my vitalparts into the dust.Pause
6 Persèguiti lo inimico l'anima mia, e pigli e conculchi in terra la vita mia, e la gloria mia reduchi in polvere.	6 Arise, Yahweh, in your anger, rise up against the arrogance of my foes. Awake, my God, you demandjudgement.
7 Lèvati, Signore, nella tua ira; ed esàltati nei confini de' miei nemici. Signore Iddio mio, lèvati nel comandamento che tu facesti.	7 Let the assembly of nations gather round you; return above it on high!
8 E la sinagoga de' popoli ti circonderà. E però ritòrnati in alto.	8 (Yahweh judges the nations.) Judge me, Yahweh, as my uprightness and my integrity deserve.
9 Il Signore giudica i popoli. Giudica me, Signore, secondo la giustizia mia, e secondo la mia innocenza sopra me.	9 Put an end to the malice of the wicked, make the upright stand firm, you who discern hearts and minds,God the upright.
10 Consumisi la iniquità de' peccatori; e dirizzerai il giusto, cercando tu, Iddio, le reni e il cuore.	10 God is a shield that protects me, saving the honest of heart.
11 Il mio adiutorio giusto è da Dio, il quale fa salvi tutti coloro che hanno il cuore diritto.	11 God is an upright judge, slow to anger, but a God at al times threatening
12 Iddio che è giusto giudice, forte e paziente, or si corruccia elli per ciascuno di?	12 for those who wil not repent. Let the enemy whet his sword, draw his bow and make ready;
13 Se voi non sarete convertiti, elli moverà il suo coltello; egli ha isteso l'arco suo, e hallo apparecchiato.	13 but he is making ready instruments of death for himself and tipping his arrows with fire;
14 E in esso arco apparecchiò li vasi della morte; le sagitte sue fece a quelli che ardevano (della morte di Dio).	14 look at him: pregnant with malice, conceiving spite, he gives birth to treachery.
15 Ecco ch' egli partorì ingiustizia; ha conceputo il dolore, e ha partorito la iniquità.	15 He digs a trap, scoops it out, but he fal s into the snare he made himself.
16 Elli ha fatta la fossa, e halla cavata; e cadette nella fossa la qual egli fece.	16 His spite recoils on his own head, his brutality falls back on his own skul .
17 Ritorni il suo dolore nel suo capo; e nella sommità sua discenda la sua iniquità.	17 I thank Yahweh for his saving justice. I sing to the name of the Most High.
18 Confesserommi a Dio secondo la sua giustizia; e salmeggeroe secondo il suo nome altissimo.
