BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Beato è quello uomo il quale non è ito nel consiglio degli empii, e non istette nella via de' peccatori, e non sedette nella cattedra della pestilenza;	1 Happy those who do not follow the counsel of the wicked, Nor go the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers.
2 ma la sua volontà fu nella legge del nostro Signore, e nella sua legge penserà il dì e la notte.	2 Rather, the law of the LORD is their joy; God's law they study day and night.
3 E sarà sì come l' arboro, piantato a lato al corso dell' acque, il quale darà il frutto suo nel tempo suo. E la foglia sua non cadrà, e ciò che farà sarà in prosperità.	3 They are like a tree planted near streams of water, that yields its fruit in season; Its leaves never wither; whatever they do prospers.
4 Gli empii non saranno di tal maniera; ma saranno come la polvere, la quale il vento rimove dalla faccia della terra.	4 But not the wicked! They are like chaff driven by the wind.
5 E però non risusciteranno gli empii nel (dì del) giudicio, nè li peccatori nel consiglio de' giusti.	5 Therefore the wicked will not survive judgment, nor will sinners in the assembly of the just.
6 Perciò [che] ha conosciuto il Signore la via de' giusti; e la via de' peccatori perirà.	6 The LORD watches over the way of the just, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.
