1 וַיַּעַשׂ בְּצַלְאֵל אֶת־הָאָרֹן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אָרְכֹּו וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רָחְבֹּו וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתֹו1 Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood, two and a half cubits long, one and a half cubits wide and oneand a half cubits high.
2 וַיְצַפֵּהוּ זָהָב טָהֹור מִבַּיִת וּמִחוּץ וַיַּעַשׂ לֹו זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב2 He overlaid it, inside and out, with pure gold, and made a gold moulding al round it.
3 וַיִּצֹק לֹו אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב עַל אַרְבַּע פַּעֲמֹתָיו וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹת עַל־צַלְעֹו הָאֶחָת וּשְׁתֵּי טַבָּעֹות עַל־צַלְעֹו הַשֵּׁנִית3 He cast four gold rings for it at its four supports: two rings on one side and two rings on the other.
4 וַיַּעַשׂ בַּדֵּי עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם זָהָב4 He also made shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold,
5 וַיָּבֵא אֶת־הַבַּדִּים בַּטַּבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעֹת הָאָרֹן לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הָאָרֹן5 and passed the shafts through the rings on the sides of the ark, by which to carry it.
6 וַיַּעַשׂ כַּפֹּרֶת זָהָב טָהֹור אַמָּתַיִם וָחֵצִי אָרְכָּהּ וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי רָחְבָּהּ6 He also made a mercy-seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide,
7 וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁנֵי כְרֻבִים זָהָב מִקְשָׁה עָשָׂה אֹתָם מִשְּׁנֵי קְצֹות הַכַּפֹּרֶת7 and model ed two great winged creatures of beaten gold, putting them at the two ends of the mercy-seat,
8 כְּרוּב־אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה וּכְרוּב־אֶחָד מִקָּצָה מִזֶּה מִן־הַכַּפֹּרֶת עָשָׂה אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִים מִשְּׁנֵי [קִצְוֹותֹו כ] (קְצֹותָיו׃ ק)8 one winged creature at one end and the other winged creature at the other end, making the wingedcreatures of a piece with the mercy-seat at either end.
9 וַיִּהְיוּ הַכְּרֻבִים פֹּרְשֵׂי כְנָפַיִם לְמַעְלָה סֹכְכִים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם עַל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת וּפְנֵיהֶם אִישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּרֶת הָיוּ פְּנֵי הַכְּרֻבִים׃ פ9 The winged creatures had their wings spread upwards, protecting the ark with their wings and facingeach other, their faces being towards the mercy-seat.
10 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּתַיִם אָרְכֹּו וְאַמָּה רָחְבֹּו וְאַמָּה וָחֵצִי קֹמָתֹו10 He made the table of acacia wood, two cubits long, one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high,
11 וַיְצַף אֹתֹו זָהָב טָהֹור וַיַּעַשׂ לֹו זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב11 and made a gold moulding all round it.
12 וַיַּעַשׂ לֹו מִסְגֶּרֶת טֹפַח סָבִיב וַיַּעַשׂ זֵר־זָהָב לְמִסְגַּרְתֹּו סָבִיב12 He fitted it with struts a hand's breadth wide and made a gold moulding round the struts.
13 וַיִּצֹק לֹו אַרְבַּע טַבְּעֹת זָהָב וַיִּתֵּן אֶת־הַטַּבָּעֹת עַל אַרְבַּע הַפֵּאֹת אֲשֶׁר לְאַרְבַּע רַגְלָיו13 He cast four gold rings for it and fixed the rings at the four corners where the four legs were.
14 לְעֻמַּת הַמִּסְגֶּרֶת הָיוּ הַטַּבָּעֹת בָּתִּים לַבַּדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן14 The rings lay close to the struts to hold the shafts for carrying the table.
15 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם זָהָב לָשֵׂאת אֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן15 He made the shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold; these were for carrying the table.
16 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַכֵּלִים ׀ אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַשֻּׁלְחָן אֶת־קְעָרֹתָיו וְאֶת־כַּפֹּתָיו וְאֵת מְנַקִּיֹּתָיו וְאֶת־הַקְּשָׂוֹת אֲשֶׁר יֻסַּךְ בָּהֵן זָהָב טָהֹור׃ פ16 He made the accessories which were to go on the table: its dishes, cups, jars and libation bowls, ofpure gold.
17 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה זָהָב טָהֹור מִקְשָׁה עָשָׂה אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָה יְרֵכָהּ וְקָנָהּ גְּבִיעֶיהָ כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ מִמֶּנָּה הָיוּ17 He also made the lamp-stand of pure gold, making the lamp-stand, base and stem, of beaten gold,its cups, calyxes and bud being of a piece with it.
18 וְשִׁשָּׁה קָנִים יֹצְאִים מִצִּדֶּיהָ שְׁלֹשָׁה ׀ קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הָאֶחָד וּשְׁלֹשָׁה קְנֵי מְנֹרָה מִצִּדָּהּ הַשֵּׁנִי18 Six branches sprang from its sides: three of the lamp-stand's branches from one side, three of thelamp-stand's branches from the other.
19 שְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בַּקָּנֶה הָאֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפֶרַח וּשְׁלֹשָׁה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים בְּקָנֶה אֶחָד כַּפְתֹּר וָפָרַח כֵּן לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִן־הַמְּנֹרָה19 The first branch carried three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud; thesecond branch, too, carried three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud, and similarlyal six branches springing from the lamp-stand.
20 וּבַמְּנֹרָה אַרְבָּעָה גְבִעִים מְשֻׁקָּדִים כַּפְתֹּרֶיהָ וּפְרָחֶיהָ20 The lamp-stand itself carried four cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its calyx and bud:
21 וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה וְכַפְתֹּר תַּחַת־שְׁנֵי הַקָּנִים מִמֶּנָּה לְשֵׁשֶׁת הַקָּנִים הַיֹּצְאִים מִמֶּנָּה21 one calyx under the first two branches springing from the lamp-stand, one calyx under the next pairof branches and one calyx under the last pair of branches -- thus for al six branches springing from the lamp-stand.
22 כַּפְתֹּרֵיהֶם וּקְנֹתָם מִמֶּנָּה הָיוּ כֻּלָּהּ מִקְשָׁה אַחַת זָהָב טָהֹור22 The calyxes and the branches were of a piece with the lamp-stand, and the whole was made from asingle piece of pure gold, beaten out.
23 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־נֵרֹתֶיהָ שִׁבְעָה וּמַלְקָחֶיהָ וּמַחְתֹּתֶיהָ זָהָב טָהֹור23 He also made its seven lamps, its snuffers and trays of pure gold.
24 כִּכָּר זָהָב טָהֹור עָשָׂה אֹתָהּ וְאֵת כָּל־כֵּלֶיהָ׃ פ24 He made the lamp-stand and all its accessories from a talent of pure gold.
25 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים אַמָּה אָרְכֹּו וְאַמָּה רָחְבֹּו רָבוּעַ וְאַמָּתַיִם קֹמָתֹו מִמֶּנּוּ הָיוּ קַרְנֹתָיו25 He made the altar of incense of acacia wood, one cubit long, and one cubit wide -- it was square --and two cubits high, its horns were of a piece with it.
26 וַיְצַף אֹתֹו זָהָב טָהֹור אֶת־גַּגֹּו וְאֶת־קִירֹתָיו סָבִיב וְאֶת־קַרְנֹתָיו וַיַּעַשׂ לֹו זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב26 He overlaid its top, its sides al round and its horns with pure gold and made a moulding to go alround.
27 וּשְׁתֵּי טַבְּעֹת זָהָב עָשָׂה־לֹו ׀ מִתַּחַת לְזֵרֹו עַל שְׁתֵּי צַלְעֹתָיו עַל שְׁנֵי צִדָּיו לְבָתִּים לְבַדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֹתֹו בָּהֶם27 He made two gold rings for it below the moulding on its two opposite sides, to take the shafts usedfor carrying it.
28 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם זָהָב28 He made the shafts of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.
29 וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־שֶׁמֶן הַמִּשְׁחָה קֹדֶשׁ וְאֶת־קְטֹרֶת הַסַּמִּים טָהֹור מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵחַ׃ פ29 He also made the holy anointing oil and the fragrant incense, blending it as a perfumer would.
