1 واما بيته فبناه سليمان في ثلاث عشرة سنة واكمل كل بيته. | 1 As regards his palace, Solomon spent thirteen years on it before the building was completed. |
2 وبنى بيت وعر لبنان طوله مئة ذراع وعرضه خمسون ذراعا وسمكه ثلاثون ذراعا على اربعة صفوف من اعمدة ارز وجوائز ارز على الاعمدة. | 2 He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon, a hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubitshigh, on four rows of cedar-wood pil ars, |
3 وسقف بارز من فوق على الغرفات الخمس والاربعين التي على الاعمدة. كل صفّ خمس عشرة. | 3 with lengths of cedar wood laid horizontal y on the pil ars. The upper part was panel ed with cedar rightdown to the tie-beams on forty-five pillars, fifteen in each row. |
4 والسقوف ثلاث طباق وكوّة مقابل كوّة ثلاث مرّات. | 4 There were three rows of window-frames, with the windows corresponding to one another at threelevels. |
5 وجميع الابواب والقوائم مربعة مسقوفة ووجه كوّة مقابل كوّة ثلاث مرات. | 5 Al the doorways and windows were rectangular, with the windows corresponding to one another atthree levels. |
6 وعمل رواق الاعمدة طوله خمسون ذراعا وعرضه ثلاثون ذراعا. ورواقا آخر قدامها واعمدة واسكفّة قدامها. | 6 He also made the Colonnade, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits broad, with a cornice in front. |
7 وعمل رواق الكرسي حيث يقضي اي رواق القضاء وغشّي بارز من ارض الى سقف. | 7 He also made the Hal of the Throne where he used to dispense justice, that is, the Hal of Justice; it waspanel ed in cedar from floor to beams. |
8 وبيته الذي كان يسكنه في دار اخرى داخل الرواق كان كهذا العمل. وعمل بيتا لابنة فرعون التي اخذها سليمان كهذا الرواق. | 8 His own living quarters, in the other court and inwards from the Hal , were of the same construction. Andthere was a house similar to this Hal for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage. |
9 كل هذه من حجارة كريمة كقياس الحجارة المنحوتة منشورة بمنشار من داخل ومن خارج من الاساس الى الافريز ومن داخل الى الدار الكبيرة. | 9 Al these buildings were of special stones cut to measure, trimmed on the inner and outer sides with thesaw, from the foundations to the coping- |
10 وكان مؤسسا على حجارة كريمة حجارة عظيمة حجارة عشر اذرع وحجارة ثمان اذرع. | 10 the foundations were of special stones, huge stones, of ten and eight cubits, |
11 ومن فوق حجارة كريمة كقياس المنحوتة وارز. | 11 and, above these, special stones, cut to measure, and cedar wood- |
12 وللدار الكبيرة في مستديرها ثلاثة صفوف منحوتة وصف من جوائز الارز. كذلك دار بيت الرب الداخلية ورواق البيت | 12 and, on the outside, the great court had three courses of dressed stone round it and one course ofcedar beams; so also had the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh and the vestibule of the Temple. |
13 وارسل الملك سليمان واخذ حيرام من صور. | 13 King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre; |
14 وهو ابن امرأة ارملة من سبط نفتالي وابوه رجل صوري نحّاس وكان ممتلئا حكمة وفهما ومعرفة لعمل كل عمل في النحاس. فأتى الى الملك سليمان وعمل كل عمله. | 14 he was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, but his father had been a Tyrian, a bronzeworker.He was a highly intel igent craftsman, skil ed in al types of bronzework. He came to King Solomon and did althis work for him. |
15 وصوّر العمودين من نحاس طول العمود الواحد ثمانية عشر ذراعا. وخيط اثنتا عشرة ذراعا يحيط بالعمود الآخر. | 15 He cast the two bronze pillars; the height of one pil ar was eighteen cubits, and a cord twelve cubitslong gave the measurement of its girth; so also was the second pil ar. |
16 وعمل تاجين ليضعهما على راسي العمودين من نحاس مسبوك. طول التاج الواحد خمس اذرع وطول التاج الآخر خمس اذرع. | 16 He made two capitals of cast bronze for the tops of the pil ars; the height of one capital was five cubits,and the height of the other five cubits. |
17 وشباكا عملا مشبكا وضفائر كعمل السلاسل للتاجين اللذين على راسي العمودين سبعا للتاج الواحد وسبعا للتاج الآخر. | 17 He made two sets of filigree to cover the moulding of the two capitals surmounting the pil ars, onefiligree for one capital and one filigree for the other. |
18 وعمل للعمودين صفين من الرمان في مستديرهما على الشبكة الواحدة لتغطية التاج الذي على راس العمود وهكذا عمل للتاج الآخر. | 18 He also made pomegranates: two rows of them round each filigree,four hundred in al , |
19 والتاجان اللذان على راسي العمودين من صيغة السوسن كما في الرواق هما اربع اذرع. | 19 The capitals surrounding the pil ars were lily-shaped. |
20 وكذلك التاجان اللذان على العمودين من عند البطن الذي من جهة الشبكة صاعدا. والرمانات مئتان على صفوف مستديرة على التاج الثاني. | 20 applied on the raised moulding behind the filigree; there were two hundred pomegranates round onecapital and the same round the other capital. |
21 واوقف العمودين في رواق الهيكل. فاوقف العمود الايمن ودعا اسمه ياكين. ثم اوقف العمود الايسر ودعا اسمه بوعز. | 21 He erected the pil ars in front of the portico of the Temple, he erected the right-hand pil ar and named itJachin; he erected the left-hand pil ar and named it Boaz. |
22 وعلى راس العمودين صيغة السوسن. فكمل عمل العمودين | 22 Thus, the work on the pillars was completed. |
23 وعمل البحر مسبوكا. عشر اذرع من شفته الى شفته وكان مدورا مستديرا. ارتفاعه خمس اذرع وخيط ثلاثون ذراعا يحيط به بدائره. | 23 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth. |
24 وتحت شفته قثّاء مستديرا تحيط به. عشر للذراع. محيطة بالبحر بمستديره صفّين. القثاء قد سبكت بسبكه. | 24 Under its rim and completely encircling it were gourds surrounding the Sea; over a length of thirtycubits the gourds were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest. |
25 وكان قائما على اثني عشر ثورا ثلاثة متوجهة الى الشمال وثلاثة متوجهة الى الغرب وثلاثة متوجهة الى الجنوب وثلاثة متوجهة الى الشرق. والبحر عليها من فوق وجميع اعجازها الى داخل. | 25 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea. |
26 وغلظه شبر وشفته كعمل شفة كاس بزهر سوسن. يسع الفي بث. | 26 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, lily-shaped. It couldhold two thousand measures. |
27 وعمل القواعد العشر من نحاس طول القاعدة الواحدة اربع اذرع وعرضها اربع اذرع وارتفاعها ثلاث اذرع. | 27 He made the ten bronze stands; each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three high. |
28 وهذا عمل القواعد. لها اتراس والاتراس بين الحواجب. | 28 They were designed as fol ows; they had an undercarriage and crosspieces to the undercarriage. |
29 وعلى الاتراس التي بين الحواجب أسود وثيران وكروبيم وكذلك على الحواجب من فوق. ومن تحت الأسود والثيران قلائد زهور عمل مدلّى. | 29 On the crosspieces of the undercarriage were lions and bul s and winged creatures, and on top of theundercarriage was a support; under the lions and oxen there were scrolls in the style of. . . |
30 ولكل قاعدة اربع بكر من نحاس وقطاب من نحاس ولقوائمها الاربع اكتاف والاكتاف مسبوكة تحت المرحضة بجانب كل قلادة. | 30 Each stand had four bronze wheels with bronze axles; its four feet had shoulderings under the basin,and the shoulderings were cast. . . |
31 وفمها داخل الاكليل ومن فوق ذراع. وفمها مدور كعمل قاعدة ذراع ونصف ذراع. وايضا على فمها نقش. واتراسها مربعة لا مدورة. | 31 Its mouth measured one and a half cubits from where the shoulderings met to the top; its mouth wasround like a stand for a vessel, and on the mouth there were engravings too; the crosspieces, however, wererectangular and not round. |
32 والبكر الاربع تحت الاتراس وخطاطيف البكر في القاعدة وارتفاع البكرة الواحدة ذراع ونصف ذراع. | 32 The four wheels were under the crosspieces. The axles of the wheels were inside the stands; theheight of the wheels was one and a half cubits. |
33 وعمل البكر كعمل بكرة مركبة. خطاطيفها وأطرها واصابعها وقبوبها كلها مسبوكة. | 33 The wheels were designed like chariot wheels: their axles, felloes, spokes and naves had al been cast. |
34 واربع اكتاف على اربع زوايا القاعدة الواحدة واكتاف القاعدة منها. | 34 There were four shoulderings at the four corners of each stand: the stand and the shoulderings were alof a piece. |
35 واعلى القاعدة مقبّب مستدير على ارتفاع نصف ذراع من اعلى القاعدة. اياديها واتراسها منها. | 35 At the top of the stand there was a support, circular in shape and half a cubit high; and on top of thestand there were lugs. The crosspieces were of a piece with the stand. |
36 ونقش على الواح اياديها وعلى اتراسها كروبيم واسودا ونخيلا كسعة كل واحدة وقلائد زهور مستديرة. | 36 On the bands he engraved winged creatures and lions and palm leaves. . . and scrol s right round. |
37 هكذا عمل القواعد العشر. لجميعها سبك واحد وقياس واحد وشكل واحد. | 37 He made the ten stands like this: the same casting and the same measurements for all. |
38 وعمل عشر مراحض من نحاس تسع كل مرحضة اربعين بثا. المرحضة الواحدة اربع اذرع. مرحضة واحدة على القاعدة الواحدة للعشر القواعد. | 38 He made ten bronze basins; each basin held forty measures and each basin measured four cubits, onebasin to each of the ten stands. |
39 وجعل القواعد خمسا على جانب البيت الايمن وخمسا على جانب البيت الايسر وجعل البحر على جانب البيت الايمن الى الشرق من جهة الجنوب | 39 He arranged the stands, five on the right-hand side of the Temple, five on the left-hand side of theTemple; the Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south east. |
40 وعمل حيرام المراحض والرفوش والمناضح وانتهى حيرام من جميع العمل الذي عمله للملك سليمان لبيت الرب. | 40 Hiram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. He finished all the work that hedid for King Solomon on the Temple of Yahweh: |
41 العمودين وكرتي التاجين اللذين على راسي العمودين والشبكتين لتغطية كرتي التاجين اللذين على راسي العمودين. | 41 Two pil ars; the two mouldings of the capitals surrounding the pil ars; the two sets of filigree to coverthe two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars; |
42 واربع مئة الرمانة التي للشبكتين صفّا رمان للشبكة الواحدة لاجل تغطية كرتي التاجين اللذين على العمودين. | 42 the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of filigree -- two rows of pomegranates for each set offiligree; |
43 والقواعد العشر والمراحض العشر على القواعد. | 43 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands; |
44 والبحر الواحد والاثني عشر ثورا تحت البحر. | 44 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath the Sea; |
45 والقدور والرفوش والمناضح. وجميع هذه الآنية التي عملها حيرام للملك سليمان لبيت الرب هي من نحاس مصقول. | 45 the ash containers, the scoops, and sprinkling bowls. All these objects made by Hiram for KingSolomon for the Temple of Yahweh were of burnished bronze. |
46 في غور الاردن سبكها الملك في ارض الخزف بين سكوت وصرتان. | 46 He made them by the process of sand casting, in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth andZarethan. |
47 وترك سليمان وزن جميع الآنية لانها كثيرة جدا جدا. لم يتحقق وزن النحاس. | 47 There were so many of them, that the weight of the bronze was never calculated. |
48 وعمل سليمان جميع آنية بيت الرب المذبح من ذهب والمائدة التي عليها خبز الوجوه من ذهب. | 48 Solomon made all the objects designed for the Temple of Yahweh: the golden altar and the gold tablefor the loaves of permanent offering; |
49 والمنائر خمسا عن اليمين وخمسا عن اليسار امام المحراب من ذهب خالص والازهار والسرج والملاقط من ذهب. | 49 the lamp-stands, five on the right and five on the left in front of the Debir, of pure gold; the floral work,the lamps, the tongs, of gold; |
50 والطسوس والمقاصّ والمناضح والصحون والمجامر من ذهب خالص. والوصل لمصاريع البيت الداخلي اي لقدس الاقداس ولابواب البيت اي الهيكل من ذهب. | 50 the basins, the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, the incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; the doorpanels -- for the inner shrine -- that is, the Holy of Holies -- and for the Hekal, of gold. |
51 واكمل جميع العمل الذي عمله الملك سليمان لبيت الرب. وادخل سليمان اقداس داود ابيه. الفضة والذهب والآنية وجعلها في خزائن بيت الرب | 51 Thus al the work done by King Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomonbrought in the gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and the utensils putinto the treasuries of the Temple of Yahweh. |
