Ezechiele 22

LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 "Tu, figlio dell'uomo, vuoi giudicare, vuoi giudicare la città sanguinosa e farle conoscere tutte le sue abominazioni?	2 'Son of man, are you ready to judge? Are you ready to judge the blood-stained city? Confront her withal her loathsome practices!
3 Di': Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Città che si versa addosso il sangue, sì da far venire il suo tempo; che costruisce dentro di sé gli idoli, per macchiarsi d'impurità.	3 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: City shedding blood inside yourself to hasten your doom, makingfoul idols on your soil to defile yourself,
4 Del sangue che hai versato ti sei resa colpevole, con gli idoli che ti sei fabbricata ti sei macchiata d'impurità; hai fatto giungere al colmo i tuoi giorni, è venuta l'ora di cambiare! Perciò ti decreto lo scherno delle genti e il disprezzo in tutto il mondo.	4 you have incurred guilt by the blood you have shed, you have defiled yourself with the foul idols youhave made, you have shortened your days, you have come to the end of your years. This is why I have madeyou an object of scorn to the nations and a laughing-stock to every country.
5 Sia le città che ti sono vicine sia quelle lontane se la ridono; impura di fama, sei nella più grande costernazione.	5 From far and near they will taunt you with your infamous disorders.
6 Vedi? I prìncipi d'Israele agiscono in te a più non posso per versare il sangue.	6 "Look! In you the princes of Israel, one and all, have furthered their own interests at the cost ofbloodshed;
7 Si disprezza in te il padre e la madre; quanto al forestiero, lo si opprime in mezzo a te, orfano e vedova li si schiaccia in te.	7 in you people have despised their fathers and mothers; in you they have il -treated the settler; in youthey have oppressed the widow and orphan.
8 Disprezzi il mio santuario, profani i miei sabati.	8 You have treated my sanctuary with contempt, you have profaned my Sabbaths.
9 Ci sono in te dei calunniatori per versare il sangue, in te si fanno pasti sacri sui monti, si commettono ignominie in mezzo a te.	9 In you informers incite to bloodshed; in you people eat on the mountains and act licentiously;
10 Si scopre in te la nudità del padre, si esaspera in te l'impurità della donna immonda per mestruazione.	10 in you they have sexual intercourse with their fathers; in you they force themselves on women in theirperiods;
11 Ciascuno commette abominazioni con la moglie del suo prossimo, ciascuno macchia d'impurità ignominiosa la sua nuora, ciascuno in te violenta la sorella consanguinea.	11 in you one man engages in loathsome practices with his neighbour's wife, another lewdly defiles hisdaughter-in-law, another violates his sister, his own father's daughter.
12 Si ricevono in te regali per versare il sangue, esigi interessi e percentuali, spremi il tuo prossimo nell'oppressione e di me ti sei dimenticata! Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.	12 In you people take bribes for shedding blood; you lend for profit and charge interest, you profit fromyour fel ow by extortion and have forgotten about me -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
13 Ma attenzione! Io batto le mani per le ricchezze che ti sei fatto e per il sangue che è in te.	13 "Now I shal clap my hands at your acts of banditry and the blood that flows in you.
14 Resisterà forse il tuo cuore e le tue braccia si manterranno forti quando ti farò ciò? Io, il Signore, ho parlato e così farò.	14 Wil your heart be able to resist, will your hands be steady, the day when I cal you to account? I,Yahweh, have spoken and shall act.
15 Ti disseminerò fra le genti e ti disperderò nel mondo, eliminerò l'impurità che proviene da te,	15 I shal scatter you among the nations and disperse you in foreign countries, and so put an end to thefilthiness now inside you;
16 ma tu resterai profanata in te stessa al cospetto delle genti e riconoscerai che io sono il Signore".	16 through your own fault, you wil be profaned in the eyes of the nations, and you wil know that I amYahweh!" '
17 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:	17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
18 "Figlio dell'uomo, la casa d'Israele m'è diventata tutta scorie: bronzo e stagno, ferro e piombo entro una fornace; scorie d'argento sono diventati.	18 'Son of man, for me, the House of Israel has become dross: copper, tin, iron, lead, al mixed uptogether in the melting-pot; they are dross.
19 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Poiché siete diventati tutti scorie, ecco io vi raccolgo dentro Gerusalemme.	19 And so, Lord Yahweh says this, "Since you have al become dross, right! I shall collect you insideJerusalem.
20 Un mucchio di argento, bronzo, ferro, piombo e stagno dentro la fornace, in cui soffia un fuoco capace di fondere; così vi ammucchierò nella mia ira, nel mio furore e mi acquieterò facendovi fondere.	20 As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are col ected in the melting-pot, and the fire is blown underneathto melt them down, so I shal collect you in my furious anger and have you melted down;
21 Vi riunirò, soffierò su di voi il fuoco della mia ira e fonderete dentro di essa.	21 I shal collect you and blow up the fire of my rage for you and have you melted down inside the city.
22 Come si fonde l'argento dentro la fornace, così sarete fusi dentro di essa. Riconoscerete che sono io il Signore che ho riversato il mio furore su di voi".	22 As silver is melted in the melting-pot, so you will be melted down inside the city, and you wil knowthat I, Yahweh, have vented my fury on you." '
23 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:	23 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
24 "Figlio dell'uomo, digli: Tu sei un paese non purificato, non irrorato dalla pioggia, nel giorno della rabbia.	24 'Son of man, say to her, "You are a land that has not received rain or shower on the day of anger.
25 I suoi prìncipi furono in esso come un leone ruggente che cerca di predare, hanno mangiato le persone, hanno preso le forze e le ricchezze, moltiplicandovi le vedove.	25 In you, the princes are like a roaring lion tearing its prey. They have eaten the people, seized wealthand jewels and widowed many inside her.
26 I suoi sacerdoti hanno soffocato la mia legge, hanno profanato le cose sante; tra sacro e profano non hanno tenuto la distinzione, tra l'impuro e il puro non hanno indicato la differenza; hanno tolto i loro occhi dai miei sabati e in mezzo a loro fui profanato.	26 Her priests have violated my law and desecrated my sanctuary; they have made no distinctionbetween sacred and profane, they have not taught people the difference between clean and unclean; they haveturned their eyes away from my Sabbaths and I have been dishonoured by them.
27 I suoi capi in esso furono come lupi che cercano di predare, per versare il sangue e far perire le anime, per accaparrarsi la ricchezza.	27 In her the leaders are wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood and killing people to steal theirpossessions.
28 I suoi profeti, avendo visioni false e divinando per loro menzogne, hanno fatto loro l'intonaco con la calce: hanno continuato a dire: "Così dice il Signore Dio", mentre il Signore non ha parlato.	28 Her prophets have plastered these things over with their empty visions and lying prophecies, saying:Yahweh says this, although Yahweh has not spoken.
29 La popolazione esercita l'oppressione, commettendo rapina, schiacciando il povero e il misero, opprimendo il forestiero, ignorando ogni giusto decreto.	29 The people of the country have taken to extortion and banditry; they have oppressed the poor andneedy and il -treated the settler in a way that is unjustifiable.
30 Io cercai chi sapesse costruire mura di difesa e stare sulla breccia al mio cospetto in favore del paese affinché non venisse distrutto, ma non lo trovai.	30 I have been looking for someone among them to build a barricade and oppose me in the breach, todefend the country and prevent me from destroying it; but I have found no one.
31 Quindi riversai su di esso la mia rabbia, nel fuoco della mia ira li annientai; riversai sopra le loro teste la loro condotta. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".	31 Hence I have vented my fury on them; I have put an end to them in the fire of my rage. I have madetheir conduct recoil on their own heads -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
