Geremia 28

1 - Or avvenne che in quello stesso anno, in principio del regno di Sedecia, re di Giuda, cioè, il quarto anno nel quinto mese, Anania figlio di Azur, profeta di Gabaon, mi apostrofò nella casa del Signore in presenza dei sacerdoti e di tutto il popolo dicendo:	1 And it came to pass in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, that Hananias the son of Azur, a prophet of Gabaon spoke to me, in the house of the Lord before the priests, and all the people, saying:
2 «Così dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio d'Israele: - Ho spezzato il giogo del re di Babilonia.	2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3 Ancor due anni di tempo e io farò ritornare in questo luogo tutto il vasellame della casa del Signore che Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia, tolse di qui e trasportò in Babilonia.	3 As yet two years of days, and I will cause all the vessels of the house of the Lord to be brought back into this place, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon.
4 E Jeconia, figlio di Joachin re di Giuda, e tutta la gente che fu deportata da Giuda e internata in Babilonia farò ritornare in questo luogo, dice il Signore, perchè infrangerò il giogo del re di Babilonia -».	4 And I will bring back to this place Jechonias the son of Joakim king of Juda, and all the captives of Juda, that are gone to Babylon, saith the Lord: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
5 E Geremia profeta rispose al profeta Anania in presenza dei sacerdoti e al cospetto di tutto il popolo che stava nella casa del Signore,	5 And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the Lord:
6 e disse Geremia profeta: «Così sia! Così faccia il Signore! Adempia il Signore le parole che hai profetizzato, affinchè tornino i vasi nella casa del Signore e tutta la gente deportata in Babilonia, in questo luogo.	6 And Jeremias the prophet said: Amen, the Lord do so: the Lord perform thy words, which thou hast prophesied: that the vessels may be brought again into the house of the Lord, and all the captives may return out of Babylon to this place.
7 Per altro, ascolta questa parola che io pronunzio nelle tue orecchie e in quelle di tutto il popolo:	7 Nevertheless hear this word that I speak in thy ears, and in the ears of all the people:
8 - I profeti che furono prima di me e di te ab antico hanno pure profetizzato su molti paesi e su regni grandi, di guerra, di angustia, e di fame.	8 The prophets that have been before me, and before thee from the beginning, and have prophesied concerning many countries, and concerning great kingdoms, of war, and of affliction, and of famine.
9 Il profeta, dunque, che ha predetta la pace, all'avverarsi della sua parola si riconoscerà profeta mandato veramente dal Signore -».	9 The prophet that prophesied peace when his word shall come to pass, the prophet shall be known, whom the Lord hath sent in truth.
10 Allora il profeta Anania strappò le ritorte dal collo del profeta Geremia e le fece in pezzi.	10 And Hananias the prophet took the chain from the neck of Jeremias the prophet, and broke it.
11 E Anania esclamò al cospetto di tutto il popolo dicendo: «Così dice il Signore: - A questo modo spezzerò il giogo di Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia passati due anni di tempo, d'in sul collo di tutte le genti -».	11 And Hananias spoke in the presence of all the people, saying: Thus saith the Lord: Even so will I break the yoke of Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon after two full years from off the neck of all the nations.
12 E Geremia profeta prese la via e se ne andò. Dopo che il profeta Anania ebbe ridotto in pezzi le ritorte che stavano sul collo di Geremia profeta, la parola fu comunicata a Geremia dal Signore che gli disse:	12 And Jeremias the prophet went his way. And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, after that Hananias the prophet had broken the chain from off the neck of Jeremias the prophet, saying:
13 «Va' e dirai ad Anania: - Così dice il Signore: "Le ritorte di legno hai spezzato, ma in loro vece tu hai fatto le ritorte di ferro!".	13 Go, and tell Hananias: Thus saith the Lord: Thou hast broken chains of wood, and thou shalt make for them chains of iron.
14 Perchè, così dice il Signore degli eserciti, il Dio di Israele: "Un giogo di ferro ho posto sul collo di tutte coteste nazioni perchè servano Nabucodonosor, re di Babilonia e serve gli saranno, e di più, gli animali del campo a lui ho dato" -».	14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, to serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and they shall serve him: moreover also I have given him the beasts of the earth.
15 Poi Geremia profeta disse al profeta Anania: «Ascolta, o Anania, non è il Signore che ti ha mandato, e tu hai fatto credere questo popolo nella menzogna.	15 And Jeremias the prophet said to Hananias the prophet: Hear now, Hananias: the Lord hath not sent thee, and thou hast made this people to trust in a lie.
16 Perciò, così dice il Signore: - Ecco ch'io ti darò lo sfratto dalla faccia della terra; quest'anno stesso morrai, perchè hai parlato contrariamente al Signore!».	16 Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will send thee away from off the face of the earth: this year shalt thou die: for thou hast spoken against the Lord.
17 E Anania morì in quello stesso anno, al settimo mese.	17 And Hananias the prophet died in that year, in the seventh month.
