Proverbi 4

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 - Ascoltate, o figliuoli, l'esortazione paterna, state attenti se volete imparare prudenza;	1 Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
2 vi voglio dare un bel regalo, il mio insegnamento non l'abbandonate.	2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.
3 Perchè anch'io sono stato di mio padre, tenero ed unico figlio, sotto gli occhi di mia madre;	3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 ed egli mi ammaestrava e mi diceva: «Il tuo cuore accolga le mie parole, conserva i miei precetti e vivrai.	4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Acquista sapienza, acquista prudenza non dimenticarlo e non scostarti dai detti della mia bocca.	5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Non l'abbandonare e ti custodirà, amala e ti conserverà.	6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Primo principio di sapienza: acquista sapienza, a tutti i costi acquista prudenza.	7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Afferrati a lei e ti solleverà, ne sarai onorato se l'avrai abbracciata.	8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 Accrescerà grazia al tuo capo, di una splendida corona ti cingerà».	9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
10 Ascolta, figliuolo mio, e apprendi le mie parole, affinchè ti si moltiplichino gli anni della vita.	10 Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many.
11 Ti additerò la via della sapienza, ti avvierò sui sentieri della rettitudine,	11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.
12 nei quali entrato, non ti sentirai impedito i passi, e se corri non avrai inciampo.	12 When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
13 Tienti alla regola e non abbandonarla, osservala perchè essa è la tua vita.	13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14 Non lasciarti attirare sulla strada degli empi, e non prendere amore per la via dei cattivi,	14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
15 fuggila, non passar per essa, scansala e abbandonala.	15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
16 Perchè essi non dormono se non hanno fatto del male, il sonno loro s'invola se non hanno rovinato qualcuno.	16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
17 Mangiano il pane del delitto e bevono il vino dell'iniquità.	17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
18 Il sentiero dei giusti è come la luce che spunta, s'avanza, cresce, finchè è giorno fatto.	18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.
19 La strada dei tristi è tenebrosa, non sanno dove vanno a cascare.	19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
20 Figliolo mio, ascolta le mie parole, porgi orecchio ai detti miei;	20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 non perderli mai di vista, serbali in fondo al cuore;	21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 perchè sono la vita di chi li trova e la salute di tutto il suo corpo.	22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23 Con ogni cautela custodisci il tuo cuore, perchè da esso deriva la vita.	23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24 Bandisci da te il parlar perverso e stia lungi dal tuo labbro la detrazione.	24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25 I tuoi occhi guardino dritto e il tuo sguardo preceda i passi tuoi.	25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26 Reggi sul buon sentiero i piedi tuoie avrai accertato il tuo cammino;	26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27 Non piegar nè a destra nè a sinistra, ritira il piede dal male. Perchè il Signore conosce le vie che sono a destra, quelle di sinistra sono perverse; egli ti guiderà diritto al tuo cammino e condurrà in pace il tuo viaggio.	27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
