1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are beloved in God the Father, and who are guarded and called in Jesus Christ:	1 Lettre de Jude, serviteur du Christ Jésus et frère de Jacques, à vous qui avez été appelés, à vous que Dieu le Père a aimés et qui êtes sous la garde de Jésus Christ.
2 May mercy, and peace, and love be fulfilled in you.	2 Recevez en abondance la miséricorde, la paix et l’amour!
3 Most beloved, taking all care to write to you about your common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you in order to beg you to contend earnestly for the faith that was handed down once to the saints.	3 Frères bien-aimés, j’ai tenu absolument à vous écrire à propos du salut que tous nous attendons. Il fallait que je vous écrive pour vous encourager: luttez pour la foi que Dieu a donnée aux saints de façon définitive.
4 For certain men entered unnoticed, who were written of beforehand unto this judgment: impious persons who are transforming the grace of our God into self-indulgence, and who are denying both the sole Ruler and our Lord Jesus Christ.	4 Certains individus se sont introduits parmi vous qui, depuis longtemps étaient inscrits sur les registres du mal. Ils se moquent de la religion; ils remplacent le don de Dieu par l’absence de morale, et renient de fait Jésus Christ, l’unique Seigneur et maître.
5 So I want to caution you. Those who once knew everything that Jesus did, in saving the people from the land of Egypt, afterwards perished because they did not believe.	5 Je voudrais vous rappeler ce que déjà vous savez. Le Seigneur a d’abord fait sortir son peuple d’Égypte, mais dans un deuxième temps il a fait périr ceux qui n’avaient pas eu foi.
6 And truly, the Angels, who did not keep to their first place, but instead abandoned their own domiciles, he has reserved with perpetual chains under darkness, unto the great day of judgment.	6 Il a agi de même avec les anges qui n’avaient pas fait honneur à leur propre rang et avaient abandonné leur place. Il les a enfermés et enchaînés pour toujours dans les ténèbres en attendant le grand jour du Jugement.
7 And also Sodom and Gomorrah, and the adjoining cities, in similar ways, having given themselves over to fornication and to the pursuing of other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.	7 Et de même pour les villes de Sodome et Gomorrhe avec leurs dépendances: car elles se livraient à la prostitution et l’homosexualité. Elles ont été condamnées et restent comme une image du feu éternel.
8 Similarly also, these ones certainly defile the flesh, and they despise proper authority, and they blaspheme against majesty.	8 Mais voilà que de la même façon ces gens-là se mettent à délirer. Ils souillent leurs corps, ils méprisent la majesté divine, ils insultent les autorités célestes.
9 When Michael the Archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring against him a judgment of blasphemy, so instead he said: “The Lord commands you.”	9 Pourtant, quand l’archange Michel s’opposait au diable et lui disputait le corps de Moïse, il n’osa pas pour autant lui lancer des insultes. Il lui dit seulement: "Que le Seigneur te fasse taire!”
10 But these men certainly blaspheme against whatever they do not understand. And yet, whatever they, like mute animals, know from nature, in these things they are corrupted.	10 Mais eux, ils traînent dans la boue ce qu’ils ne connaissent pas. Et ce qu’ils connaissent par l’instinct naturel, comme les animaux, ils s’en servent pour leur perte.
11 Woe to them! For they have gone after the way of Cain, and they have poured out the error of Balaam for profit, and they have perished in the sedition of Korah.	11 Malheur à eux! Ils ont pris le chemin de Caïn, ils se sont égarés comme Balaam pour une question d’argent, ils se sont révoltés pour leur perte comme Coré!
12 These ones are defiled within their banquets, enjoying themselves and feeding themselves without fear; waterless clouds, which are tossed about by winds; autumn trees, unfruitful, twice dead, uprooted;	12 Ces gens-là dénaturent vos repas fraternels, car ils ne pensent qu’à leur ventre et ils se servent sans scrupules. Ce sont des nuages emportés par le vent, qui n’apportent pas la pluie; ce sont des arbres sans fruit à l’automne, deux fois morts avant d’être déracinés!
13 raging waves of the sea, foaming from their own confusion; wandering stars, for whom the whirlwind of darkness has been reserved forever!	13 Ce sont des vagues sauvages sur la mer, qui projettent l’écume de leurs vices; ce sont des astres errants qui vont se perdre dans les ténèbres!
14 And about these, Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied, saying: “Behold, the Lord is arriving with thousands of his saints,	14 Le patriarche Hénok, le septième après Adam, prophétisait à leur sujet quand il a dit: "Voici que le Seigneur vient avec ses milliers de saints anges.
15 to execute judgment against everyone, and to reprove all the impious concerning all the works of their impiety, by which they have acted impiously, and concerning all the harsh things that impious sinners have spoken against God.”	15 Il vient pour un jugement universel; il dénoncera ceux qui se moquent du bien pour toutes les fois où ils s’en sont moqués et se sont moqués de lui, et il condamnera les pécheurs ennemis de Dieu pour toutes les insultes qu’ils ont lancées contre lui.”
16 These ones are complaining murmurers, walking according to their own desires. And their mouth is speaking arrogance, admiring persons for the sake of gain.	16 Tous ces gens-là sont des mécontents, des gens frustrés qui se laissent mener par leurs passions. Ils font les beaux parleurs, mais c’est pour se faire remarquer et pour en tirer avantage.
17 But as for you, most beloved, be mindful of the words which have been foretold by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,	17 Mais vous, frères bien-aimés, rappelez-vous ce que les apôtres de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ ont dit dans le temps.
18 who declared to you that, in the end time, there would arrive mockers, walking according to their own desires, in impieties.	18 Ils ont dit: "À la fin des temps on verra des gens qui se moqueront de tout; ils se laisseront mener par leurs passions sans plus s’occuper de Dieu.”
19 These are the ones who segregate themselves; they are animals, not having the Spirit.	19 De fait ces gens-là créent des divisions; ils restent au niveau des choses naturelles et ils n’ont pas l’Esprit.
20 But you, most beloved, are building yourselves up by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,	20 Mais vous, frères bien-aimés, construisez votre vie sur la base de votre foi très sainte et priez dans l’Esprit Saint.
21 keeping yourselves in the love of God, and anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.	21 Maintenez-vous dans l’amour de Dieu et accueillez la miséricorde de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ qui vous donne la vie éternelle.
22 So certainly, reprove them, after they have been judged.	22 Ayez de la compassion pour ceux qui doutent;
23 Yet truly, save them, seizing them from the fire. And have mercy on others: in fear, hating even that which is of the flesh, the defiled garment.	23 pour d’autres, sauvez-les comme vous les arracheriez au feu; pour d’autres encore ayez de la compassion tout en vous méfiant: ne touchez pas au vêtement qu’ils ont porté….
24 Then, to him who has the power to keep you free from sin and to present you, immaculate, with exultation, before the presence of his glory at the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ,	24 Gloire à celui qui a pouvoir pour vous garder de tout péché et vous présenter joyeux et sans tache face à sa propre gloire.
25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord: to him be glory and magnificence, dominion and power, before all ages, and now, and in every age, forever. Amen.	25 Gloire, majesté, puissance et souveraineté à lui seul, Dieu notre Sauveur, par Jésus Christ notre Seigneur, comme il était au commencement, maintenant et pour tous les siècles! Amen.
