1 May fraternal charity remain in you.	1 L’amor fraterno dimori fra voi. Non dimenticate l’ospitalità;
2 And do not be willing to forget hospitality. For by it, certain persons, without realizing it, have received Angels as guests.	2 perciocchè per essa alcuni albergarono già degli angeli, senza saperlo.
3 Remember those who are prisoners, just as if you were imprisoned with them, and those who endure hardships, just as if you were in their place.	3 Ricordatevi de’ prigioni, come essendo lor compagni di prigione; di quelli che sono afflitti, come essendo ancora voi nel corpo.
4 May marriage be honorable in every way, and may the marriage bed be immaculate. For God will judge fornicators and adulterers.	4 Il matrimonio e il letto immacolato sia onorevole fra tutti; ma Iddio giudicherà i fornicatori e gli adulteri.
5 Let your behavior be without avarice; be content with what you are offered. For he himself has said, “I will not abandon you, and I will not neglect you.”	5 Sieno i costumi vostri senza avarizia, essendo contenti delle cose presenti; perciocchè egli stesso ha detto: Io non ti lascerò, e non ti abbandonerò.
6 So then, we may confidently say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.”	6 Talchè possiam dire in confidanza: Il Signore è il mio aiuto; ed io non temerò ciò che mi può far l’uomo.
7 Remember your leaders, who have spoken the Word of God to you, whose faith you imitate, by observing the goal of their way of life:	7 Ricordatevi de’ vostri conduttori, i quali vi hanno annunziata la parola di Dio; la cui fede imitate, considerando la fine della loro condotta.
8 Jesus Christ, yesterday and today; Jesus Christ forever.	8 Gesù Cristo è lo stesso ieri, ed oggi, e in eterno.
9 Do not be led away by changing or strange doctrines. And it is best for the heart to be sustained by grace, not by foods. For the latter have not been as useful to those who walked by them.	9 Non siate trasportati qua e là per varie e strane dottrine; perciocchè egli è bene che il cuor sia stabilito per grazia, non per vivande; dalle quali non han ricevuto alcun giovamento coloro che sono andati dietro ad esse.
10 We have an altar: those who serve in the tabernacle have no authority to eat from it.	10 Noi abbiamo un altare, del qual non hanno podestà di mangiar coloro che servono al tabernacolo.
11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is carried into the Holy of holies by the high priest, on behalf of sin, are burned outside the camp.	11 Perciocchè i corpi degli animali, il cui sangue è portato dal sommo sacerdote dentro al santuario per lo peccato, son arsi fuori del campo.
12 Because of this, Jesus, too, in order to sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered outside the gate.	12 Perciò ancora Gesù, acciocchè santificasse il popolo per lo suo proprio sangue, ha sofferto fuor della porta.
13 And so, let us go forth to him, outside the camp, bearing his reproach.	13 Usciamo adunque a lui fuor del campo, portando il suo vituperio.
14 For in this place, we have no everlasting city; instead, we seek one in the future.	14 Perciocchè noi non abbiam qui una città stabile, anzi ricerchiamo la futura.
15 Therefore, through him, let us offer the sacrifice of continual praise to God, which is the fruit of lips confessing his name.	15 Per lui adunque offeriamo del continuo a Dio sacrificii di lode, cioè: il frutto delle labbra confessanti il suo nome.
16 But do not be willing to forget good works and fellowship. For God is deserving of such sacrifices.	16 E non dimenticate la beneficenza, e di far parte agli altri dei vostri beni; poichè per tali sacrificii si rende servigio grato a Dio.
17 Obey your leaders and be subject to them. For they watch over you, as if to render an account of your souls. So then, may they do this with joy, and not with grief. Otherwise, it would not be as helpful to you.	17 Ubbidite a’ vostri conduttori, e sottomettetevi loro; perchè essi vegliano per le anime vostre, come avendone a render ragione; acciocchè facciano questo con allegrezza, e non sospirando; perciocchè quello non vi sarebbe d’alcun utile
18 Pray for us. For we trust that we have a good conscience, being willing to conduct ourselves well in all things.	18 Pregate per noi; perciocchè noi ci confidiamo d’aver buona coscienza, desiderando di condurci onestamente in ogni cosa.
19 And I beg you, all the more, to do this, so that I may be quickly returned to you.	19 E vie più vi prego di far questo, acciocchè più presto io vi sia restituito.
20 Then may the God of peace, who led back from the dead that great Pastor of sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, with the blood of the eternal testament,	20 OR l’Iddio della pace, che ha tratto da’ morti il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, il gran Pastor delle pecore, per il sangue del patto eterno,
21 equip you with all goodness, so that you may do his will. May he accomplish in you whatever is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom is glory forever and ever. Amen.	21 vi renda compiuti in ogni buona opera, per far la sua volontà, operando in voi ciò ch’è grato nel suo cospetto, per Gesù Cristo; al qual sia la gloria ne’ secoli de’ secoli. Amen.
22 And I beg you, brothers, that you may permit this word of consolation, especially since I have written to you with few words.	22 Ora, fratelli, comportate, vi prego, il ragionamento dell’esortazione; poichè io vi ho scritto brevemente.
23 Know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he arrives soon, then I will see you with him.	23 Sappiate che il fratel Timoteo è liberato; col quale, se viene tosto, vi vedrò.
24 Greet all your leaders and all the saints. The brothers from Italy greet you.	24 Salutate tutti i vostri conduttori, e tutti i santi. Quei d’Italia vi salutano.
25 Grace be with you all. Amen.	25 La grazia sia con tutti voi. Amen
