Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an Apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, to all the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus.	1 PAOLO, apostolo di Gesù Cristo, per la volontà di Dio, a’ santi che sono in Efeso, e fedeli in Cristo Gesù.
2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Grazia a voi, e pace, da Dio, Padre nostro, e dal Signor Gesù Cristo
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, in Christ,	3 BENEDETTO sia Iddio, Padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, il qual ci ha benedetti d’ogni benedizione spirituale nei luoghi celesti in Cristo.
4 just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, so that we would be holy and immaculate in his sight, in charity.	4 In lui ci ha Dio eletti avanti la fondazione del mondo, acciocchè siamo santi, ed irreprensibili nel suo cospetto, in carità;
5 He has predestined us to adoption as sons, through Jesus Christ, in himself, according to the purpose of his will,	5 avendoci predestinati ad adottarci per Gesù Cristo, a sè stesso, secondo il beneplacito della sua volontà,
6 for the praise of the glory of his grace, with which he has gifted us in his beloved Son.	6 alla lode della gloria della sua grazia, per la quale egli ci ha resi graditi a sè, in colui che è l’amato.
7 In him, we have redemption through his blood: the remission of sins in accord with the riches of his grace,	7 In cui noi abbiamo la redenzione per lo suo sangue, la remission de’ peccati, secondo le ricchezze della sua grazia.
8 which is superabundant in us, with all wisdom and prudence.	8 Della quale egli è stato abbondante inverso noi in ogni sapienza, ed intelligenza;
9 So does he make known to us the mystery of his will, which he has set forth in Christ, in a manner well-pleasing to him,	9 avendoci dato a conoscere il misterio della sua volontà secondo il suo beneplacito, il quale egli avea determinato in sè stesso.
10 in the dispensation of the fullness of time, so as to renew in Christ everything that exists through him in heaven and on earth.	10 Che è di raccogliere, nella dispensazione del compimento de’ tempi, sotto un capo, in Cristo, tutte le cose, così quelle che son nei cieli, come quelle che son sopra la terra.
11 In him, we too are called to our portion, having been predestined in accord with the plan of the One who accomplishes all things by the counsel of his will.	11 In lui siamo stati fatti eredi, essendo stati predestinati secondo il proponimento di colui che opera tutte le cose secondo il consiglio della sua volontà;
12 So may we be, to the praise of his glory, we who have hoped beforehand in Christ.	12 acciocchè siamo alla lode della sua gloria, noi che prima abbiamo sperato in Cristo.
13 In him, you also, after you heard and believed the Word of truth, which is the Gospel of your salvation, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the Promise.	13 In lui anche voi, avendo udita la parola della verità, l’evangelo della vostra salute; in lui dico anche voi, avendo creduto, siete stati suggellati con lo Spirito Santo della promessa.
14 He is the pledge of our inheritance, unto the acquisition of redemption, to the praise of his glory.	14 Il quale è l’arra della nostra eredità, mentre aspettiamo la redenzione di quelli che Dio si è acquistati, alla lode della gloria d’esso
15 Because of this, and hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love toward all the saints,	15 Perciò, io ancora, udita la fede vostra nel Signor Gesù, e la carità vostra inverso tutti i santi,
16 I have not ceased giving thanks for you, calling you to mind in my prayers,	16 non resto mai di render grazie per voi, facendo di voi memoria nelle mie orazioni.
17 so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give a spirit of wisdom and of revelation to you, in knowledge of him.	17 Acciocchè l’Iddio del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, il Padre della gloria, vi dia lo Spirito di sapienza, e di rivelazione, per la conoscenza d’esso.
18 May the eyes of your heart be illuminated, so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and the wealth of the glory of his inheritance with the saints,	18 Ed illumini gli occhi della mente vostra, acciocchè sappiate quale è la speranza della sua vocazione, e quali son le ricchezze della gloria della sua eredità, nè luoghi santi.
19 and the preeminent magnitude of his virtue toward us, toward we who believe in accord with the work of his powerful virtue,	19 E quale è, inverso noi che crediamo, l’eccellente grandezza della sua potenza; secondo la virtù della forza della sua possanza.
20 which he wrought in Christ, raising him from the dead and establishing him at his right hand in the heavens,	20 La quale egli ha adoperata in Cristo, avendolo suscitato da’ morti, e fattolo sedere alla sua destra ne’ luoghi celesti;
21 above every principality and power and virtue and dominion, and above every name that is given, not only in this age, but even in the future age.	21 di sopra ad ogni principato, e podestà, e potenza, e signoria, ed ogni nome che si nomina non solo in questo secolo, ma ancora nel secolo avvenire;
22 And he has subjected all things under his feet, and he has made him the head over the entire Church,	22 avendogli posta ogni cosa sotto a’ piedi, ed avendolo dato per capo sopra ogni cosa, alla Chiesa;
23 which is his body and which is the fullness of him who accomplishes everything in everyone.	23 la quale è il corpo d’esso, il compimento di colui che compie tutte le cose in tutti
