1 And again, he entered into the synagogue. And there was a man there who had a withered hand.	1 Entrò di nuovo nella sinagoga. Vi era lì un uomo che aveva una mano paralizzata,
2 And they observed him, to see if he would cure on the Sabbaths, so that they might accuse him.	2 e stavano a vedere se lo guariva in giorno di sabato, per accusarlo.
3 And he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up in the middle.”	3 Egli disse all’uomo che aveva la mano paralizzata: «Àlzati, vieni qui in mezzo!».
4 And he said to them: “Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbaths, or to do evil, to give health to a life, or to destroy?” But they remained silent.	4 Poi domandò loro: «È lecito in giorno di sabato fare del bene o fare del male, salvare una vita o ucciderla?». Ma essi tacevano.
5 And looking around at them with anger, being very saddened over the blindness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Extend your hand.” And he extended it, and his hand was restored to him.	5 E guardandoli tutt’intorno con indignazione, rattristato per la durezza dei loro cuori, disse all’uomo: «Tendi la mano!». Egli la tese e la sua mano fu guarita.
6 Then the Pharisees, going out, immediately took counsel with the Herodians against him, as to how they might destroy him.	6 E i farisei uscirono subito con gli erodiani e tennero consiglio contro di lui per farlo morire.
7 But Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea. And a great crowd followed him from Galilee and Judea,	7 Gesù, intanto, con i suoi discepoli si ritirò presso il mare e lo seguì molta folla dalla Galilea. Dalla Giudea
8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea and across the Jordan. And those around Tyre and Sidon, upon hearing what he was doing, came to him in a great multitude.	8 e da Gerusalemme, dall’Idumea e da oltre il Giordano e dalle parti di Tiro e Sidone, una grande folla, sentendo quanto faceva, andò da lui.
9 And he told his disciples that a small boat would be useful to him, because of the crowd, lest they press upon him.	9 Allora egli disse ai suoi discepoli di tenergli pronta una barca, a causa della folla, perché non lo schiacciassero.
10 For he healed so many, that as many of them as had wounds would rush toward him in order to touch him.	10 Infatti aveva guarito molti, cosicché quanti avevano qualche male si gettavano su di lui per toccarlo.
11 And the unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell prostrate before him. And they cried out, saying,	11 Gli spiriti impuri, quando lo vedevano, cadevano ai suoi piedi e gridavano: «Tu sei il Figlio di Dio!».
12 “You are the Son of God.” And he strongly admonished them, lest they make him known.	12 Ma egli imponeva loro severamente di non svelare chi egli fosse.
13 And ascending onto a mountain, he called to himself those whom he willed, and they came to him.	13 Salì poi sul monte, chiamò a sé quelli che voleva ed essi andarono da lui.
14 And he acted so that the twelve would be with him, and so that he might send them out to preach.	14 Ne costituì Dodici – che chiamò apostoli –, perché stessero con lui e per mandarli a predicare
15 And he gave them authority to cure infirmities, and to cast out demons:	15 con il potere di scacciare i demòni.
16 and he imposed on Simon the name Peter;	16 Costituì dunque i Dodici: Simone, al quale impose il nome di Pietro,
17 and also he imposed on James of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, the name ‘Boanerges,’ that is, ‘Sons of Thunder;’	17 poi Giacomo, figlio di Zebedeo, e Giovanni fratello di Giacomo, ai quali diede il nome di Boanèrghes, cioè «figli del tuono»;
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus, and Simon the Canaanite,	18 e Andrea, Filippo, Bartolomeo, Matteo, Tommaso, Giacomo, figlio di Alfeo, Taddeo, Simone il Cananeo
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.	19 e Giuda Iscariota, il quale poi lo tradì.
20 And they went to a house, and the crowd gathered together again, so much so that they were not even able to eat bread.	20 Entrò in una casa e di nuovo si radunò una folla, tanto che non potevano neppure mangiare.
21 And when his own had heard of it, they went out to take hold of him. For they said: “Because he has gone mad.”	21 Allora i suoi, sentito questo, uscirono per andare a prenderlo; dicevano infatti: «È fuori di sé».
22 And the scribes who had descended from Jerusalem said, “Because he has Beelzebub, and because by the prince of demons does he cast out demons.”	22 Gli scribi, che erano scesi da Gerusalemme, dicevano: «Costui è posseduto da Beelzebùl e scaccia i demòni per mezzo del capo dei demòni».
23 And having called them together, he spoke to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan?	23 Ma egli li chiamò e con parabole diceva loro: «Come può Satana scacciare Satana?
24 For if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom is not able to stand.	24 Se un regno è diviso in se stesso, quel regno non potrà restare in piedi;
25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house is not able to stand.	25 se una casa è divisa in se stessa, quella casa non potrà restare in piedi.
26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, he would be divided, and he would not be able to stand; instead he reaches the end.	26 Anche Satana, se si ribella contro se stesso ed è diviso, non può restare in piedi, ma è finito.
27 No one is able to plunder the goods of a strong man, having entered into the house, unless he first binds the strong man, and then he shall plunder his house.	27 Nessuno può entrare nella casa di un uomo forte e rapire i suoi beni, se prima non lo lega. Soltanto allora potrà saccheggiargli la casa.
28 Amen I say to you, that all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and the blasphemies by which they will have blasphemed.	28 In verità io vi dico: tutto sarà perdonato ai figli degli uomini, i peccati e anche tutte le bestemmie che diranno;
29 But he who will have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit shall not have forgiveness in eternity; instead he shall be guilty of an eternal offense.”	29 ma chi avrà bestemmiato contro lo Spirito Santo non sarà perdonato in eterno: è reo di colpa eterna».
30 For they said: “He has an unclean spirit.”	30 Poiché dicevano: «È posseduto da uno spirito impuro».
31 And his mother and brothers arrived. And standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.	31 Giunsero sua madre e i suoi fratelli e, stando fuori, mandarono a chiamarlo.
32 And the crowd was sitting around him. And they said to him, “Behold, your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.”	32 Attorno a lui era seduta una folla, e gli dissero: «Ecco, tua madre, i tuoi fratelli e le tue sorelle stanno fuori e ti cercano».
33 And responding to them, he said, “Who is my mother and my brothers?”	33 Ma egli rispose loro: «Chi è mia madre e chi sono i miei fratelli?».
34 And looking around at those who were sitting all around him, he said: “Behold, my mother and my brothers.	34 Girando lo sguardo su quelli che erano seduti attorno a lui, disse: «Ecco mia madre e i miei fratelli!
35 For whoever has done the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister and mother.”	35 Perché chi fa la volontà di Dio, costui per me è fratello, sorella e madre».
