1 Poenas solvet Samaria, quoniam rebellavit contra Deum suum: in gladio peribunt, parvuli eorum elidentur, et praegnantes discindentur.	1 Samaria shall expiate her guilt, for she has rebelled against her God. They shall fall by the sword, their little ones shall be dashed to pieces, their expectant mothers shall be ripped open.
2 Convertere, Israel, ad Dominum Deum tuum, quoniam corruisti in iniquitate tua.	2 Return, O Israel, to the LORD, your God; you have collapsed through your guilt.
3 Tollite vobiscum verba et convertimini ad Dominum; dicite ei: “ Omnem aufer iniquitatem et accipe bonum, et reddemus fructum labiorum nostrorum.	3 Take with you words, and return to the LORD; Say to him, "Forgive all iniquity, and receive what is good, that we may render as offerings the bullocks from our stalls.

5 “ Sanabo praevaricationem eorum, diligam eos spontanee, quia aversus est furor meus ab eis.	5 I will heal their defection, I will love them freely; for my wrath is turned away from them.
6 Ero quasi ros pro Israel; germinabit quasi lilium et mittet radices suas ut Libanus.	6 I will be like the dew for Israel: he shall blossom like the lily; He shall strike root like the Lebanon cedar,

8 Convertentur sedentes in umbra mea, colent triticum et germinabunt quasi vinea; memoriale eius sicut vinum Libani.	8 Again they shall dwell in his shade and raise grain; They shall blossom like the vine, and his fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon.
9 Ephraim, quid ei ultra idola? Ego exaudio et respicio in eum. Ego ut abies virens: ex me fructus tuus invenitur ”.	9 Ephraim! What more has he to do with idols? I have humbled him, but I will prosper him. "I am like a verdant cypress tree"-- Because of me you bear fruit!
10 Qui sapiens est, intellegat ista; intellegens sciat haec! Quia rectae viae Domini, et iusti ambulabunt in eis; praevaricatores vero corruent in eis.	10 Let him who is wise understand these things; let him who is prudent know them. Straight are the paths of the LORD, in them the just walk, but sinners stumble in them.
