1 Disaster for those so comfortable in Zion and for those so confident on the hil of Samaria, the notablesof this first of nations, those to whom the House of Israel has recourse!	1 Горе беспечным на Сионе и надеющимся на гору Самарийскую именитым первенствующего народа, к которым приходит дом Израиля!
2 Travel to Calneh and look, go on from there to Hamath the great, then go down to Gath in Philistia. Arethey more powerful than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?	2 Пройдите в Калне и посмотрите, оттуда перейдите в Емаф великий и спуститесь в Геф Филистимский: не лучше ли они сих царств? не обширнее ли пределы их пределов ваших?
3 Thinking to defer the evil day, you are hastening the reign of violence.	3 Вы, которые день бедствия считаете далеким и приближаете торжество насилия, --
4 Lying on ivory beds and sprawling on their divans, they dine on lambs from the flock, and stal -fattened veal;	4 вы, которые лежите на ложах из слоновой кости и нежитесь на постелях ваших, едите лучших овнов из стада и тельцов с тучного пастбища,

6 they drink wine by the bowlful, and lard themselves with the finest oils, but for the ruin of Joseph theycare nothing.	6 пьете из чаш вино, мажетесь наилучшими мастями, и не болезнуете о бедствии Иосифа!
7 That is why they wil now go into captivity, heading the column of captives. The sprawlers' revelry isover.	7 За то ныне пойдут они в плен во главе пленных, и кончится ликование изнеженных.
8 Lord Yahweh has sworn by his own self -declares Yahweh, God Sabaoth: I detest the pride of Jacob, Ihate his palaces, I shal hand over the city and al in it.	8 Клянется Господь Бог Самим Собою, и так говорит Господь Бог Саваоф: гнушаюсь высокомерием Иакова и ненавижу чертоги его, и предам город и все, что наполняет его.
9 If ten people are left in a single house, they wil die	9 И будет: если в каком доме останется десять человек, то умрут и они,
10 and a few will be left to carry the bones from the house, and they will say to anyone deep inside thehouse, 'Any more there?' and he wil answer, 'No.' Then he wil say, 'Hush!-Yahweh's name must not bementioned.'	10 и возьмет их родственник их или сожигатель, чтобы вынести кости их из дома, и скажет находящемуся при доме: есть ли еще у тебя кто? Тот ответит: нет никого. И скажет сей: молчи! ибо нельзя упоминать имени Господня.
11 For look, Yahweh gives the command: as he strikes, the great house fal s to pieces and the smalhouse is in fragments.	11 Ибо вот, Господь даст повеление и поразит большие дома расселинами, а малые дома--трещинами.
12 Can horses gal op over rocks? Can the sea be ploughed with oxen? Yet you have changed justiceinto poison, and the fruit of uprightness into wormwood,	12 Бегают ли кони по скале? можно ли распахивать ее волами? Вы между тем суд превращаете в яд и плод правды в горечь;
13 while rejoicing over Lo-Debar and saying, 'Wasn't it by our own strength that we captured Karnaim?'	13 вы, которые восхищаетесь ничтожными вещами и говорите: 'не своею ли силою мы приобрели себе могущество?'
14 But look, House of Israel, against you -declares Yahweh, God Sabaoth- I am raising a nation tooppress you from the Pass of Hamath to the Gorge of the Arabah.	14 Вот Я, говорит Господь Бог Саваоф, воздвигну народ против вас, дом Израилев, и будут теснить вас от входа в Емаф до потока в пустыне.
