1 Yahweh spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when offering unauthorisedfire.	1 Parlo Iddio a Moisè, dopo la morte de due figliuoli di Aaron, che morirono quando offerivano lo fuoco d'altrui:
2 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: 'Tel Aaron your brother that he may not enter the sanctuary insidethe curtain in front of the mercy-seat on the ark whenever he chooses, in case he incurs death, for I appear in acloud on the mercy-seat.	2 E comandò a lui, e disse: di' ad Aaron tuo fratello, che non entri ogni tempo nel santuario ch' è infra lo parete dinnanzi al propiziatorio con lo quale si cuopre l'arca, acciò che non muoia; perciò ch' io apparirò in nuvola sopra l'oratorio;
3 'This is how he must enter the sanctuary: with a young bul for a sacrifice for sin and a ram for a burntoffering.	3 salvo se non fesse questo innanzi: offerisca uno vitello per lo peccato, e uno montone nello olocausto.
4 He will put on a tunic of consecrated linen, wear linen drawers on his body, a linen waistband round hiswaist, and a linen turban on his head. These are the sacred vestments he wil put on after washing himself.	4 Egli si vestirà della tunica di lino, e porrassi le brache di lino per coprir quelle parti; e cingerassi di correggia di lino, e uno panno di lino si porrà in capo; e questi vestiti sono santi, de quali tutti si vestirà, lavato che sarà.
5 'From the community of Israelites he wil receive two he-goats for a sacrifice for sin and a ram for aburnt offering.	5 Da tutta la gente de' figliuoli d'Israel riceverà due becchi per lo peccato, e uno montone allo sacrificio.
6 After offering the bul as a sacrifice for his own sin and performing the rite of expiation for himself andhis family,	6 Quando avrà offerto lo vitello, e avrà pregato per e lui per la casa sua,
7 he wil take the two he-goats and place them before Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	7 farà istare due becchi innanzi a Dio appresso alla porta del tabernacolo della testimonianza,
8 Aaron wil then draw lots over the two goats, one lot to be for Yahweh and the other lot for Azazel.	8 mettendo le sorti sopra amendue, una per lo Signore, e l'altra per lo becco che si debba licenziare.
9 Aaron wil then take the goat on which the lot "For Yahweh" has fal en, and offer it as a sacrifice for sin.	9 Sopra del quale caderà la sorte per lo Signore, quello offerirà per lo peccato.
10 But the goat on which the lot "For Azazel" has fal en, will be placed alive before Yahweh, for the riteof expiation to be performed with it, and for it then to be sent to Azazel in the desert.	10 Quella che caderà sopra al becco da esser licenziato, quello appresenterà [vivo] dinnanzi al Signore, acciò che lui prieghi sopra di lui, e poi mandilo nel deserto.
11 'Having offered the bul as a sacrifice for his own sin and performed the rite of expiation for himselfand for his family, and slaughtered the bul as a sacrifice for sin,	11 Fatte queste cose, offerrà lo vitello; e pregando per sè e per la casa sua, lo sacrificherà.
12 Aaron wil then fill a censer with live coals from the altar before Yahweh, take two handfuls of finelyground aromatic incense and bring this inside the curtain.	12 E tolto lo turibolo, ed empialo del fuoco dell' altare, e togliendo colla mano lo timiama per incensare, ultra il parete entrerà in SANCTA (SANCTORUM),
13 He wil then put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, so that the cloud of incense hides the mercy-seat which is on the Testimony and he does not incur death.	13 acciò che poste sopra lo fuoco le cose odorifere, la loro nebula e vapore cuopra (tutto) l'oracolo, lo quale è sopra l'arca della testimonianza, e non muoia.
14 He wil then take some of the bul 's blood and sprinkle it with his finger on the eastern side of themercy-seat. He will sprinkle some of the blood seven times with his finger in front of the mercy-seat.	14 E torrà dello sangue del vitello, e col dito sette volte aspargerà (in presenza di Dio) allo propiziatorio dall'oriente.
15 'He wil then slaughter the goat for the sacrifice for the sin of the people, and take its blood inside thecurtain, and with this blood do as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it on the mercy-seat and in front ofit.	15 Quando avrà morto lo becco per lo peccato del popolo, tolga lo sangue suo, e portilo dentro allo pariete, là dove si pone quello del vitello, acciò che asperga tutto l'oratorio,
16 This is how he must perform the rite of expiation for the sanctuary for the uncleanness of theIsraelites, for their acts of rebel ion and al their sins. 'And this is what he must do for the Tent of Meeting whichremains with them, surrounded by their uncleanness.	16 e netti lo santuario dalle immondizie dei figliuoli d'Israel, e dalle loro prevaricazioni e da tutti i suoi peccati. E in questo modo farà nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, ch' è infra loro nel mezzo [delle immondizie) delle abitazioni.
17 No one must be inside the Tent of Meeting, from the moment he enters to make expiation in thesanctuary until the time he comes out. 'When he has made expiation for himself, for his family, and for the wholecommunity of Israel,	17 E niuno uomo sia nel tabernacolo, quando lo sacerdote entrerà allo santuario per pregare per sè e per la sua casa e per tutto lo popolo d'Israel, insino a tanto che non esca.
18 he must come outside, go to the altar before Yahweh and perform the rite of expiation for it. He willtake some of the bul 's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on the horns at the corners of the altar alaround it,	18 Quand'egli sarà uscito all'altare, che è dinnanzi Dio ori per sè (e per la sua casa); e preso lo sangue del vitello e del becco, verserallo in su l'altare in ogni corno.
19 and sprinkle some of the blood on it seven times with his finger, thus purifying it and setting it apartfrom the uncleanness of the Israelites.	19 E con lo dito aspergerà sette volte, acciò che mondi e santifichi quello dalle immondizie dei figliuoli d'Israel.
20 'Once expiation for the sanctuary, the Tent of Meeting and the altar is complete, he will bring the goatwhich is stil alive.	20 E poi che avranno nettato lo tabernacolo e l'altare e lo santuario, allora offerirà il becco vivo.
21 Aaron wil then lay both his hands on its head and over it confess al the guilt of the Israelites, al theiracts of rebel ion and all their sins. Having thus laid them on the goat's head, he will send it out into the desertunder the charge of a man waiting ready,	21 E poste le mani sopra lo capo suo, confessi tutte le iniquitadi de' figliuoli d'Israel, e tutti li mancamenti e li peccati loro; li quali supplicando che vadino sopra lo capo del becco, manderallo nel deserto per uno uomo preparato a questo.
22 and the goat wil bear all their guilt away into some desolate place. 'When he has sent the goat intothe desert,	22 E avendo portato le loro iniquitadi via questo becco in la terra solitaria, e sarà lasciato nel deserto,
23 Aaron wil go back into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen vestments which he wore to enterthe sanctuary and leave them there.	23 torni Aaron nel tabernacolo della testimonianza; e poste giù le vestimenta, di che pria era vestito quando entrò nel santuario, e lasciate ivi le vesti,
24 He wil then wash his body inside the holy place, put on his vestments and come outside to offer hisown and the people's burnt offering. He wil perform the rite of expiation for himself and for the people,	24 laverà la carne sua nelli luoghi santi, e ve stirassi le sue vestimenta. E poi che, uscito, avrà offerto lo suo sacrificio e del popolo, pregherà così per lui come per lo popolo.
25 and burn the fat of the sacrifice for sin on the altar.	25 E lo grasso, che è stato offerto per lo peccato, sarà abbruciato sopra l'altare.
26 'The man who led the goat away to Azazel wil wash his clothes and body before entering the camp.	26 E colui che lascerà lo becco andare via, laverà le sue vestimenta e lo corpo coll'acqua, e così entrerà nei castelli.
27 The bul and the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, the blood of which was taken into the sanctuary forthe rite of expiation, must be taken outside the camp, where their skin, meat and offal are to be burnt.	27 Lo vitello e lo becco, che furono sacrificati per lo peccato, e delli quali lo sangue fu posto nel santuario per finire la purgazione, porterannogli fuori del (santuario e del) castello; e arderannogli col fuoco, così li peli, come la carne e le feci.
28 The man who burns them wil wash his clothes and body before entering the camp.	28 E chi li arderà, laverà le sue vestimenta e la sua carne coll'acqua, e così entrerà nel castello.
29 'This wil be a perpetual law for you. 'On the tenth day of the seventh month you will fast and refrainfrom work, both citizen and resident alien;	29 E questa vi sarà legge in sempiterno: nel settimo mese, a dì decimo del mese, affligerete le vostre anime, e non farete niuna cosa (senza necessitade), così voi e così lo forestiere che fosse infra voi.
30 for this is the day on which the rite of expiation will be performed for you to purify you, to purify youbefore Yahweh from al your sins.	30 In questo die sarà la vostra purgazione e mondazione di tutti i vostri peccati; e in presenza di Dio sarete netti;
31 It wil be a sabbatical rest for you and you wil fast. This is a perpetual law.	31 però ch' egli è lo sabbato del riposo, e affligerete le vostre anime in religione perpetua.
32 'The rite of expiation wil be performed by the priest who has been anointed and instal ed to officiatein succession to his father. He wil put on the linen vestments, the sacred vestments,	32 E purgherà lo sacerdote, lo quale sarà unto, e dello quale le mani sono consecrate, acciò che faccia l'officio per suo padre: vestasi una stola di lino e le vesti sante;
33 and perform the rite of expiation for the holy sanctuary, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and wilthen perform the rite of expiation for the priests and al the people of the community.	33 e purgherà lo santuario e lo tabernacolo della testimonianza e l'altare e li sacerdoti e tutto il popolo.
34 This wil be a perpetual law for you; once a year the rite of expiation wil be made for the Israelites foral their sins.' And as Yahweh ordered Moses, so it was done.	34 E saravvi legge in sempiterno di pregare per li figliuoli d'Israel e per tutti li loro peccati, una volta l'anno. E fece Moisè come Iddio gli comandò.
