Psalms 73

1 [Psalm Of Asaph] Indeed God is good to Israel, the Lord to those who are pure of heart.	1 Intelletto di Asaf (ovver, secondo alcuni, ammaestramenti di Asaf). Il perchè, Iddio, mi hai tu sospinto in fine; adirato è il tuo furore sopra le pecore della tua pastura?
2 My feet were on the point of stumbling, a little more and I had slipped,	2 Ricordati della tua congregazione, la qual possedesti da principio. Ricomprasti la bacchetta della [tua] eredità; il monte di Sion nel quale abitasti.
3 envying the arrogant as I did, and seeing the prosperity of the wicked.	3 Leva le tue mani contra loro superbia nella fine; quanta malignità ha fatto l'inimico contra il santo!
4 For them no such thing as pain, untroubled, their comfortable portliness;	4 E quelli che ti hanno odiato si sono gloriati, in mezzo della tua solennità. Posero li suoi segni,
5 exempt from the cares which are the human lot, they have no part in Adam's afflictions.	5 e non conobbero, come nell' esito sopra all'alto (tempio).
6 So pride is a necklace to them, violence the garment they wear.	6 E tagliorono le sue porte con le scuri, come si fa nelle selve le legne; nella scure e mannaia dissiporono quelle.
7 From their fat oozes out malice, their hearts drip with cunning.	7 Col fuoco abbruciorono il tuo santuario; in terra maculorono il tabernacolo del tuo nome.
8 Cynical y they advocate evil, loftily they advocate force.	8 Dissero nel suo cuore, insieme loro parentato: facciamo cessare dalla terra tutti i giorni festivi di Dio.
9 Their mouth claims heaven for themselves, and their tongue is never stil on earth.	9 Non abbiamo veduti li nostri segni, già non è profeta; e più non ci conoscerà.
10 That is why my people turn to them, and enjoy the waters of plenty,	10 Insino quando, Iddio, improperarà l' inimico; provoca ad ira l'avversario il nome tuo in fine?
11 saying, 'How can God know? What knowledge can the Most High have?'	11 Il per che rimuovi la tua mano, e la destra tua, dal tuo petto nella fine?
12 That is what the wicked are like, piling up wealth without any worries.	12 Ma Iddio, nostro re inanzi il mondo, operò la salute in mezzo della terra.
13 Was it useless, then, to have kept my own heart clean, to have washed my hands in innocence?	13 Nella tua virtù confirmasti il mare; contribulasti li capi de' draconi nell' acque.
14 When I was under a hail of blows al day long, and punished every morning,	14 Tu spezzasti il capo del dracone; (per che) destilo in cibo alli popoli di Etiopia.
15 had I said, 'I shal talk like them,' I should have betrayed your children's race.	15 Tu spezzasti le fontane e li torrenti; tu seccasti li fiumi di Etan.
16 So I set myself to understand this: how difficult I found it!	16 Tuo è il dì, e tua è la notte; tu facesti l' aurora e il sole.
17 Until I went into the sanctuaries of the gods and understood what was destined to become of them.	17 Tu facesti tutti gli termini della terra; la estate e il verno, tu formasti quelli.
18 You place them on a slippery slope and drive them down into chaos.	18 Ricòrdati di questo: nemico, egli ha improperato al Signore; e il popolo insipiente ha incitato il tuo nome.
19 How sudden their hideous destruction! They are swept away, annihilated by terror!	19 Non dare l' anime delli tuoi confitenti alle bestie; e non ti dimenticare nella fine dell' anime de' tuoi poveri.
20 Like a dream upon waking, Lord, when you awake, you dismiss their image.	20 Risguarda nel tuo testamento; per che sono riempiuti quelli che sono oscurati della terra, nelle case della iniquità.
21 My heart grew embittered, my affections dried up,	21 Non si parta da te l'umile, fatto confuso; il povero e bisognoso lodaranno il tuo nome.
22 I was stupid and uncomprehending, a clumsy animal in your presence.	22 Lèvati, Iddio, giudica la tua cagione; arricòrdati delli tuoi improperii, di quelli che sono fatti tutto il giorno dall' insipiente.
23 Even so, I stayed in your presence, you grasped me by the right hand;	23 Non ti dismenticare le voci de' tuoi nemici; la superbia di quelli, che ti hanno in odio, monta sempre.
24 you will guide me with advice, and wil draw me in the wake of your glory.
25 Who else is there for me in heaven? And, with you, I lack nothing on earth.
26 My heart and my flesh are pining away: my heart's rock, my portion, God for ever!
27 Truly, those who abandon you will perish; you destroy those who adulterously desert you,
28 whereas my happiness is to be near God. I have made the Lord Yahweh my refuge, to tel of al yourworks.
